If there's one big Batman comic news story of the year, it is without a doubt Absolute Batman. DC has slowly drip fed information regarding what this series series will be for months, and now the debut is right around the corner. Scott Snyder has talked about how this is a much grittier Batman, removed from his money and resources. It's all part of a larger direction for the Absolute Universe that puts its heroes on the back foot in a world where evil reigns supreme. We caught a brief glimpse of what that world looks like in DC All-In Special #1, but now Absolute Batman #1 will be the first look at what it's like for the heroes who fight there.
BATMAN LEGEND SCOTT SNYDER AND ICONIC ARTIST NICK DRAGOTTA TRANSFORM THE DARK KNIGHT'S TALE FOR THE MODERN AGE! Without the mansion... without the money... without the butler... what's left is the Absolute Dark Knight!
Absolute Batman #1 goes on sale October 9.
