It appears that The Penguin won't be the only TV project based to come out of The Batman series of films.

With the debut of The Penguin only days away, it seems that there are already some talks happening about another TV series. In an interview with The Direct, executive producer Dylan Clark confirmed that he and director Matt Reeves are "continuing" to develop another spin-off series, but gave no hints as to what it could be.

Previously there had been a series based inside of Arkham Asylum that then moved over to being part of the DCU before it seems to have ultimately been abandoned.

As Arkham Asylum does play a role in The Penguin, the two executive producers were asked if any of the elements in the canceled series were involved. Reeves responded, "No, no. That story came from what Lauren [LeFranc] came up with as the backstory for Sophia Falcone. And really, what was chosen and what was used was solely driven by what would tell Sofia's story. The character that you're meeting was actually formed through the crucible that is this experience in Arkham."

Reeves went on to clarify that Arkham appearing in The Penguin is a self-contained thing. "That was what dictated what we saw and so, and that was all. That was all what Lauren wanted to do within that space and what she did with it. So it wasn't like, Oh, gee, do we want to give this part because we're gonna do this in Arkham, or that, like, obviously we had a bit of Arkham in 'The Batman' and, you know, there may be other[s]..."

The two executive producers were asked if the next project could be a legal series that follows DA Harvey Dent, to which Reeves replied that they were "thinking certainly in the way that our conversations have gone."

The Penguin is currently set to debut on Sept. 19.
