   Jeez, whoever is doing Rorschach's voice is leaning a little too much into the Bale voice. (SWEAR TO ME!!!)

   anyway, the animation is... not great (CG flailing puppets)

   I think the CG animation looks pretty good, with a few exceptions (faces, explosions), and I like the voices. The WB/DC animation department is looking better all the time, actually.

   Yeah, I know Moore hated the way DC milks his work. I want to side with him and be ethical and respectful and whatnot. The adaptation of The Killing Joke vindicated Moore's bad opinion of the evil corporations who hold the rights to his work. But let's face it. The old stuff IS better than the new stuff and there aren't many comics that can stand beside Watchmen. It's influenced practically everybody for forty years. "Trying to be Alan Moore" is one of the most common, most sideways insults in the comic book fan arsenal of putdowns. And it's thanks to Watchmen, more than to anything else Moore has done (which is also a problem, but that's life). You can't understand modern US superhero comics without Watchmen. This story needed a comic accurate adaptation. (Yes, I know Moore didn't believe this was possible. I agree. And I also don't care.)
