Warner Bros. Discovery is reportedly planning to increase Max subscription prices before the end of the year.

According to a report from Bloomberg, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav has ordered the company's streaming division to begin cutting costs and prepare to raise prices. The company is said to be trying to aim for $1B in revenue from a combination of Max and Discovery Plus before the end of 2025.

Currently, the cheapest ad-free plan for Max clocks in at $15.99 per month.

No word as of yet as to how much a price increase is being considered.

This news follows recent reports that the company is planning to crack down on password sharing beginning this year and increasing that into the next year. So Max is definitely going to become a much more costly proposition for some of its customers.

What is interesting, however, is the reports hit the same week as the official news that a bundle deal is being planned with Disney Plus and Hulu. Perhaps this will be joined with that move to make it look that much more lucrative.
