Kevin Conroy reportedly has two more Batman appearances to go (UPDATED)

A new report says that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is not Kevin Conroy's last appearance as Batman.

It has been suspected for some time now that Conroy's appearance as Batman in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League due to his untimely passing. According to a new report from IGN, Conroy has two more voice-acting roles left to go.

Reportedly Conroy will appear in the upcoming Batman: Caped Crusader that was picked up by Amazon. Created by Bruce Timm, the new series is a spiritual successor to Batman: The Animated Series, which is where Conroy first played the Dark Knight. What role Conroy plays in the project is unknown at this time.

UPDATE: Bruce Timm has commented that the information about Conroy appearing in Caped Crusader is false.

I have no idea if the CRISIS part of IGN’s supposed scoop is true or not, but Kevin Conroy did not record a voice for CAPED CRUSADER. We were hoping to have him do a voice for the new show (and he was eager to do it) but sadly he passed away before we could make it happen.
As I have to do every so often, I will remind you all once again to take all un-sourced ‘news’ items in the sci-fi/comics/entertainment cybersphere with a huge grain of salt. Occasionally these ‘leaks‘ actually turn out to be true, but often as not they’re just cynical clickbait.

The second appearance is said to be a cameo in Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part Three where he will once again voice the Batman: The Animated Series version of the character. No release date has been announced as of yet for Part Three.

Conroy's publicist declined to comment to IGN about either role.

For now, it appears that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is Conroy's last time playing the Arkham version of Batman, but not a final farewell to his overall time in Gotham City.

I'm so happy Kill the Justice League isn't his last appearance cause that would be a giant piss on the grave send off if you have seen how Rocksteady said farewell to him in the game 😅

    "I don't know what happened in the last eight years, but people who made "Arkham" trilogy would never make a game like this."
    Rocksteady wanted to make a Superman game, WB overruled them in favor of a Suicide Squad game, which then turned into a live service game. They were then infiltrated by a company called Sweetbaby Inc to work on writing and development. This is from there official website "Our goal is to tell better, more empathetic stories while diversifying and enriching the video games industry. We aim to make games more engaging, more fun, more meaningful, and more inclusive, for everyone". In late 2022 the co-founders of Rocksteady left to make a new studio. They knew this game would be a disaster and jumped off before the ship sank.

      It took Rocksteady 8 years to develop the Arkham Trilogy and 9 years to develop Suicide Squad, lol. See you in 2033.

    They didn't, most of Rocksteady staff involved in the Arkham trilogy fled last year and created a new studio

      Yes and no, the studio was somehow coerced into doing that, and when they saw what WB wanted and didn't let them do the things as they wanted, then they fled. Granted, the worked in the game, but their work was being twisted as time went by.
      Now, I agree with you, the game is going to be buried and forgotten and Arkham fans are never going to admit the game existed at all (I know I'll do that).

    They explained it pretty well through Kylo Ren: 'let go of the past, kill it if you have to." When you have rainbow flags and "toxic masculinity" references in game, you know why the story is dogshite.

I am pretty sure the league will be saved down the line. There was leaked Flash voice lines about him getting broughtback to life, that WB took down

It was rumored last year that he was playing Thomas Wayne in season 1 of Caped Crusader, not Batman proper.

Wow. What an amazing piece of news.

It's going to be so emotional for me to hear Kevin Conroy putting on that magnificent voice for Batman again in the near future. I am so glad to read that his voice work for the character is going to be heard once more for the fans for a little while longer.

I hope you are still resting easy Kevin. You were a true legend playing Batman.
