Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom final international trailer

Warner Bros. has released the final Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom international trailer ahead of the films upcoming release.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is just days away from release, but there was time for one more tailer for the international markets.

Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all. This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction.

The cast includes Jason Momoa, Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Nicole Kidman, Dolph Lundgren, and Randall Park.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will hit theaters on Dec. 22 in the U.S.

Looks like a visual feast, just like the first one. I hope the last remnant of the DCEU gets a decent box office.

    I feel you, but you can't have Atlantis without CGI. I loved how beautiful Atlantis looked in the first movie and seems to look as good in this one. And at least they didn't skimp on the CGI opposed to what we've seen lately from other projects.

      I know. It’s impossible to do Aquaman without CG, but I found it all too much in the first movie and not at all convincing. More like a cartoon, really. I guess the character just isn’t for me then.

        Understandable. To be on the same page, I find myself unconvinced by CGI too. I remember when I saw Avatar, it looked so real. Looking back to it and the latest Avatar, it seems so fake now. I've adjusted to appreciate CGI rather as animation than emulation of the real thing.

        I think the answer is complex. In the case of Avatar, as I've said, the same movie watched in 2009 looks way worse now to me. Avatar 2 looks absolutely the same to me as the old one, so its definitely my eyes getting used to what's happening on the screen.
        Another explanation might be that, except theaters who still use projectors, pretty much every screen nowadays is at least HD, zero latency, etc. so details are easier to notice and they look more artificial. Then there's objectively bad, unfinished CGI out there, like in the Moon Knight show. They're also relying 100% on technology, which makes it even more artificial looking.
        Then there's the case of the Transformers movies where they just put way too much detail into it, so it just looks bloated. I remember it looked fine in the first Transformers, but it seemed to get worse with each movie.
        It might all just be my impression. The eye can be mislead, especially if not trained professionally.
        What is your take on CGI?
