It seems that James Gunn has some plans for making sure everyone is aware of where everything is in the DC Universe.
Over the years, various properties have played very fast and loose with the geography of DC. For instance, the TV series Smallville made it clear you could see the tallest buildings of Metropolis on a clear day from the water tower. Seeing as Smallville is in Kansas, and Metropolis is firmly cemented as an East coast city in the comics, that never made much sense.
Taking to Threads this week, Gunn answered some fan questions, including one promising "an incredibly detailed world map."
joeyfmisfit: Here's a question I think your more likely to answer. Have you given any thought to the lay of the land in the DCU? Where the different cities that the heroes operate are on a map. Will they all be right next to each other? Or spread out across the country like the source material? DC has some great
cities with their own identities. I hope we get to see thatJames Gunn: We are creating an incredibly detailed world map.
Perhaps the fact Central City, home of The Flash, is commonly believed to be St. Louis, it will be nice to see someone think this through for once.
Additionally, Gunn addressed a question about the possibility of Chris Pratt and Pom Klementieff possibly appearing in the DC Universe as themselves. Gunn said he had reasons for them not to do that.

PeaceMaker, as themselves, like Chris Pratt being himself or Pom herself...James Gunn: There are reasons I wouldn't want either of those actors to play themselves in the DCU!

With the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes ongoing, don't expect any announcements in the near future.
