   Hard pass. I've been done with that awful show since season 2 ended. I will admit that season 1 was good but after season 2 it went downhill.

      Season 3 was a little weird and the humor didn't land as much for me. It has its moments though imo, and I am curious to see what happens next. I think the reason there is a noticeable difference between the first two seasons and 3 is because the first 2 were planned out as one whole story. The show got super popular and so they started making more. But to me the vision for the whole thing just didn't seem quite as solid as it did in season 1 and 2. But again, there are definitely parts I liked.

   I hope the show will do the right thing and have Harley realize somewhere by the 2nd or 3rd episode that she is not a hero and that she wants nothing to do with the Batfamily. Fuk dat.

   Return HQ to her roots, make HQ the Joker’s moll again!

      Harley being with Ivy is also part of her roots, in the sense that the pairing originated in Batman: The Animated Series, and has been frequently used in the DCAU. The difference is that the DCAU played them as a comic couple rather than a romantic one...

         Their pairing literally makes no sense. Ivy want to end humanity and Harley is besotted with Joker and will kill for him. Mashing these two characters together in any medium is a betrayal of the characters themselves.
         That my humble opinion.

            Comic book characters can (and should) be more than one thing. I have my fair share of complaints about how HarlIvy is now, but I think that Harley should be able to have a female friend who she can bounce off and constantly annoy/frustrate. I personally think that a lot of the DCAU material with Harley and Ivy is really funny, but a lot of that is due to them having a sort of "Pinky and the Brain" dynamic with Harley as the unreliable but cheery sidekick and Ivy as the short-tempered "Evil Genius".

            Again, this is a personal opinion, but I believe that this idea that they shouldn't go together really annoys me - their dynamic can be done well, and we've seen it done well a lot in the past...

               I think you can bend a character only so far before they break and cease to be the thing you fell in love with originally.
               People use Batman as an example of his malleability but for me a camp Batman isn’t Batman anymore. We all all have out own opinions, I respect yours of if I don’t necessarily agree with everyone of them.

               FWIW, I like Camp Batman (although it works better in small doses)...

               But you did point out the main problem with HarlIvy as it is now, and the main thing I like about the DCAU version. The Harley/Ivy pairing in the DCAU could be pretty toxic, but this was an advantage for both characters, preserving Harley's need for validation and Ivy's impatience with humanity...

               I don’t believe Harley needs validation from anyone other than the Joker and Ivy doesn’t need any other human.
               If you enjoy those stories, great, bit I don’t and won’t support them with my money.
