   You know, if they would have released it as it was presented (generic live service clone) it probably would have still initially sold relatively well.

   But it would have been a dead game after only a few months and it would have killed Rocksteady's reputation

   Though I'm not sure what they can actually do to salvage this besides completely overhauling the gameplay which would take a year minimum.

   A delay of almost a year is obviously not a good sign. The issue is even if you take out all the love service elements, the actual premise of the game is flawed and isn’t engaging for the vast majority of people. Fans wanted something like a single player story driven game focussing on a new character, if superman was too difficult, a Wonder Woman game could’ve been great or a Flash game or even a Cyborg game. Nobody asked for a Suicide Squad game where you spend the majority of your time shooting countless bullets at purple orbs with a homogenous set of characters. Sadly, regardless of how much they now change the game now, it just won’t be critically or commercially successful as it could have been. Never would I have thought the studio that gave us the genre defining Arkham series would fall this hard.

      A Wonder Woman game is coming from the Shadow of Mordor devs, its meant to be open world and features the nemesis system. That's all we know though and we have heard nothing in the 2 or 3 years since its announcement.

   Releasing not long after Jedi Survivor and in the same month as Zelda (god that trailer today got me hyped as f**k) was not a good move anyway especially when the month after contains Diablo 4 and Final Fantasy 16. Didn't see it being delayed till next year though 😂

   Lol at this point, just cancel the game. Wtf is another year long delay gonna do? The game is just FUNDAMENTALLY flawed in its loot/BP design & leveling system. Unless they completely rework the game, which they won't, there's no point. Just release the game & cut their losses while they still can.

   Such a travesty to see Rocksteady fall so hard.

   Idiots! So by the time this game releases it will have been in development for 9 years. NINE YEARS!
   No matter how successful the games ends up being, (and I doubt much at all) it will lose money.
   What kind of management structure does WB have where they allow a workforce to run so far over time and budget to the point of harming the studio?

      What makes you think this has been in development for 9 years? Just because it's been 9 years since arkham knight, that doesn't mean suicide squad was all they were working on.

         The fact my boyfriend worked there.😉
         He floated the idea of a Superman game and they quickly shot him down saying it would be impossible to pull off. They faffed about a bit in the early days but you have to include those early meetings and concept work in with this game. You can’t separate it out because it all under the same umbrella of “lost money”

            Superman wouldn't work as a modern game. He's too powerful. That's why it won't happen.

               All the time? have you watched the footage carefully? Every character has unique abilities. Enemies are more than purple orbs. That was a particular set piece.

               What would you rather have instead? Every game ever made has enemies with weak points.

   So the founders have left, game has been delayed numerous times, and nobody seems to be happy with it? I can definitely see this shutting down Rocksteady

   It's very telling that all the delays came either after Avengers flopped or gameplay was shown off. Shame because I want this to be good
