Jason Momoa teases 'dream' DCU project

It seems that Jason Momoa is going to be around the DCU for some time to come as his "dream" project is now in the works.

If you've ever watched an interview with Jason Momoa, you know he's an excitable individual. This was on display with his recent interview with ET Canada in support of his new film Slumberland. Momoa was asked what was coming up in the world of DC, and replied, "I think with Peter Safran and Mr. Gunn at the helm now of DC, I'm very excited about that." Shifting to having a bit of a grin, Momoa added, "There's a lot of cool things gonna be coming up, and one of my dreams come true will be happening under their watch, so stay tuned."

As to what his "dream project" could be is anyone's guess. Fan speculation is running high that it could be the return of Zack Snyder for Justice League Part II, but we simply don't know as of yet. With Gunn and Safran having only been in their posts as co-chairs of DC Studios since Nov. 1, it's doubtful that the multi-year plan is finished, or any negotiations could have happened yet for bringing back various creatives.

For now, just know that Momoa is excited and his "dream" may indeed be coming true.

God damn it. Just when i thought we were gonna move on from the DCEU, the news of it staying alive keep coming. This Aquaman sucks. We don't need a Thor-like Aquaman. Bro-royalty is overdone (I know Thor is a god, not royalty but you get my point)

I'm just excited because he is excited, and normally I like/love the things he is excited about!
In a more serious note, I really hope with these two at the helm things start to smooth out and we can get again a shared DC Universe on the rails.

I don't see him doing a project unrelated to Aquaman. Because that would just confuse people more having him play 2 different characters simultaneously.
But i guess we'll see.
Whatever it is. I hope both Gunn and Safran understand that just because the talent is dedicated to an idea doesn't necessarily means it will work.
It didn't work for Black Adam.
Really hope they greeblight sensible projects and maintain some kind of quality control.

  I agree, it would be a huge mistake imo. Even an Elseworlds take or standalone universe film like Joker or The Batman would still muddy the waters. But his excitement, long time desire to play Lobo, and Gunn’s Lobo post give the rumor some merit. My hope is that it’s just a dream of his to work with a specific director or a specific JL story he wanted to see adapted. Not sure how much of a reader he is though. His friendships with Affleck and Fisher could also cause excitement if they are officially back, but it does seem more like a passion project or long awaited desire of his that is getting green lit.
