Warner Bros Discovery says 10 year DCEU plan in the works

It seems that a new focus is coming to DC at Warner Bros. Discovery.

During the Warner Bros. Discovery second-quarter earnings call, CEO David Zaslav promised that he is looking to "build a long-term sustainable growth business out of DC."

During a question about what happened with the Batgirl cancelation – which he did not address directly – Zaslav said “Our ambition to is bring Warners back and produce great high-quality films." He went on to add that he was very excited about the upcoming releases of films such as Black Adam, Shazam Fury of the Gods, and The Flash. “These are brands that are known everywhere in the world,” Zaslav said. “And as part of that, we’re going to focus on quality. DC is something that we think we could make better and we’re focused on it now.”

To achieve this, the executives revealed that they are currently assembling a team that will be outlining a 10-year plan for DC Films. After name-checking Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige as someone they would look to emulate, no other details were provided as to what the exact plan would be.

DC fans will, of course, remember the plan that was shared years ago that would carry the fledgling universe from 2013 to 2020. Of the 13 films that were on that schedule, only seven of them have actually been released, with The Flash still scheduled for June 23, 2023.

Who will sit on this team was not revealed, nor when we may hear exactly what is chosen for the releases.

The executives did make it clear they are not interested in movies made just for streaming services, a plan that had been discussed heavily by the former owners of the studio. That plan had called for lower-tier DC characters to receive their movies on HBO Max. It was under this plan that Batgirl was filmed, Blue Beetle was developed, and Wonder Twins was in pre-production. The only film from that trio to still being worked on is Blue Beetle which will now move to a theatrical release.

An investor's day is planned before the end of the year, so hopefully, more plans will be announced at that time.

It's pretty exciting honestly. I think he is smart enough to know Snyder isn't good money and that his fan base are bad news for the most part, so leading us into a hard reboot with a focus on the trinity, a focus on familiar versions of that trinity, is the clear path forward.

It always has been and doesn't take a lot of smarts to see that.

The biggest fails came from deviating from Snyder’s plan… so? I really think reviving what worked from Snyder’s plan and building a multiverse from that base is the way to go. Something for everyone. Fans get to see Darkseid fight against the JL we saw in ZSJL and then from that other versions of characters can be created or revisited.
DC’s strength has always been multiple versions of favorite characters. It’s the one thing that can bring the fan base together. Erasing and rebooting will only further divide the fans.

      It was divisive because WB at the time didn’t support it and a lot of fans are impressionable. Snyder made the best DC films since Nolan in my opinion. I think Reeves Batman was a betrayal of what makes Batman Batman. So my idea to have a multiverse and appeal to all fans instead of choosing just one version is the best way to go because obviously fans are different and no one version will appeal to all fans. You don’t have to like Snyder’s movies but others do and deserve to see the story finished.

      I actually recommend going back to watch MoS, BvSUE, and ZSJL. If you don’t believe they are great films then maybe you don’t know as much about DC or what makes a good film. You can literally make hours of video reviews on why the films you named are bad either as a film or as a DC film, and why Snyder’s plan is far superior than what we were gonna get when he left. They should have let Snyder release JL the way it should have been instead of reshooting scenes with Joss Whedon. MCU developed a larger plan after Avengers… they used the foundation. I'm hearing that Alan Horn maybe heading the hypothetical DC Studio. Which gives me a bit of hope.

I really hope WB Discovery allowes DC films to be more distinct and Director driven rather than just try and emulate the MCU.
Also, I think they should just scrap the "DCEU" now. Let the planned movies come out and then move on to greener pastures.
Can't wait to see what the 10 year plan actually looks like.

  Right now, Shazam 2, Aquaman 2, The Flash, Wonder Woman 3, and possibly Black Adam all take place in the existing DCEU continuity. That is 2-3 years of announced DC movie projects, all of them practically fiinished with the exception of WW3. And there is also Blue Beetle, which might or might not be in the same universe. I don't see how that fits into the 10-year plan unless the plan is to build from the existing universe rather than going for a hard reboot.
  Besides the studio is still making standalones like the Reeves Batman movies and Joker 2 , which clearly are outside the 10-year plan. .

Not only that, but they already tried a "ten year plan". It was called the Snyderverse & it failed spectacularly. The DCEU is the biggest cinematic mess I have ever seen in my life & THIS is what they're trying to salvage now by making up some "new plan"? Hilarious. Not even Fox' X-Men universe was ever in a state of such disarray & that's really saying something.

If they have no problem screwing over hundreds of people & cancelling near finished movies, then why even bother at all? Just scrap the whole DCEU & start fresh. Only keep The Batman & that's it. All the rest wasn't really that good anyway.

You call diverting from the plan during the second movie a 10yr plan? They were diverting during every movie. They didn’t trust the directors/writers. A plan means sticking to the plan. Marvel stuck to the plan until Avengers. Warner Bros diverted from the plan as soon as the first critic wrote a bad review of BvS. They didn’t have a plan because they pussied out immediately.
Revive the original plan and build a foundation off of that that can launch a multiverse and make all fans happy. Fuck, put me in charge. I guarantee I can devise something all fans can get behind and enjoy.

Will the 10-year-plan build from the existing DCEU or are they planning a hard reboot? If the latter,where does that leave the soft reboot planned for The Flash?

The easiest way would be to start from scratch in the Reeves Batman universe introducing a new Superman, Wonder Woman, and so on. But ,with at least 3 (and possibly as many as 5) legacy movies in the old DCEU yet to be released, it is hard to see how they would do it. Besides, they are still producing standalones like Blue Beetle, or will the new standalones be integrated somehow into the 10-year plan?

I assume they're planning a hard reboot, as continuing the current universe outside the 4 already completed movies wouldn't make much sense. As someone who enjoys the current universe...to a degree, even I have to admit it's not salvageable.
As for The Batman, I expect it to remain standalone, as that's how it was envisioned. It's safe to say this (presumably) rebooted universe won't take shape until Reeves is nearly done with his trilogy, so they might as well let him finish and reboot Batman into a shared universe.

There isn't much they can do about The Flash, is there? Unlike Batgirl, it is a big budget movie and they can't write it off using smart accounting and tax rebates. The only way to cut their losses is to release the film theatrically. I just don't see how they will make The Flash fit into whatever 10-year-plan they have.

  yeah I mean clearly the Flash's storyline was supposed to lead to a very specific new DC Universe that they no longer have an interest in. It's basically like Snyder Cut now. A movie that means absolutely nothing for the future.
  The problem is that the movie will taint the DC Universe and Warner with so much bad publicity that they will just damage the brand severely by releasing it. I'd rather take the financial losses and distance myself as much as I can from Ezra Miller at this point instead of giving him a showcase.

The made a few individual movies (with small unimportant easter egg scenes that connected them) and gradually started to build up team up movies once they saw what worked and what didn't.

unpopular opinion here probably.

They should hard reboot and just start with either a JL movie or World's Finest with the trio. Hell, maybe don't even worry about solo movies for the time being. Just do a trilogy of JL films with an awesome passionate director at the helm of it. I never believed in the "you have to build it up with solo films first" thing that the MCU cemented to most people, and now they are in a better position than ever to not abide by that supposed rule imo. Having to totally start over from scratch with "phases" and all that just seems exhausting to me at this point. From what I can tell, a lot of people's disappointment with the DCEU stems from the lack of the big ensemble events. So just do that. And do it well this time. The JL works as its own standalone IP. We have gotten a bunch of solo movies. People know most of the characters. Just go with The Batman logic. No need for another origin. Just go straight in and do the thing. Everybody gets it by this point. Honestly the original Snyder era blueprint wasn't actually that bad in theory. The execution was just a giant mess and people were totally caught up in how the MCU was doing things at the time.

Like I said, instead of Batman fighting Superman, do a proper World's Finest. It's just three characters that EVERYBODY KNOWS. Follow up with a Justice league movie.

And keep the Reevesverse and whatever other non JL related properties going parallel such as Gunn's Suicide Squad and maybe the Shazam/BA/JSA thing depending on how all that goes. Having one batman that only appears in JL movies and another focused on entirely on solo experiences with its own tone would be the best way to distinguish two theatrical batmen going at the same time imo

Here’s the plan… revive Snyder’s plan and finish out his story with Darkseid. Then when that’s over, as a teaser/end credit scene for what’s to come they introduce Pariah. Then they make a movie about Pariah as the main character. That can be a two or even 3 part movie that brings all the universes together. That means ZSJL and JL17 can be separate universes and both canon. That means WW84 can be a seperate universe or even established as same universe as JL17. We can see Burton-verse and even see Clooney return just for fun. The point is that stuff can be organized in this movie and we can see things possibly be erased forever or seperated into coherent universes. Then after this huge event of movies we can have more than one version of characters and each fan can have a favorite and we can all still love DC without fighting. I’d love to see Snyder’s finished vision and maybe an Affleck solo but that doesn’t mean I don’t want other fans to enjoy seeing Keaton again or Pattinson.

DCEU needs fixed. Crisis on Infinite Earths can be the way to go, but I think Pariah and Monitor should be major players. Not Flash. All other big name characters are just big cameos and not major players.

Personally I think having Cavill as young Superman and Routhe as old Superman would be cool. Blue Beatle should play a big role. Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. Joseph Gordon Leavitt plays Nightwing. Just fun cameos. But the story has to be right too. It can’t be cheesy.

The DCEU doesn’t need fixing; it needs a complete reset. That means Snyder’s plans need to be thrown out, because it’s obvious that not everyone is on board with his vision. If the fans aren’t unified in a desire to see his plans play out, then there’s absolutely no reason to spend money on those plans.

I read that the Flash film cost $200 million to make, so I get that Zaslav isn't looking to scrap the film, although I know I would. Apparently, not even a tax write-off could let that film go right now, but whatever, moving on.

My latest thought with this news of the 10 year plan and Zaslav going ahead with The Flash and it being essential to the DCU story, if he has another idea in place that he's holding back for now...

I wonder if Zaslav might look to make a way for Barry to exit the film at the end, leave a big cliffhanger or some other occurrence and make the way for Wally West to enter through the multiverse and become DC's main Flash from here on out???

Considering ALL the factors in play from all that Ezra has done and the liability he is going forward, to the SnyderCut not being acknowledged as canon, to bringing in the birth of the DC multiverse via Flashpoint, a transition in this film from Barry to Wally is actually viable...

Regarding the 10-year plan, I'm not surprised to hear they have a plan in the works. With all this shifting going on for DC in 2022 and Dwayne Johnson as part of the DCU, touting that the DCU is about to change for the past couple of years, they are clearly setting up for a big year moving forward in 2023 and to do the best they can to keep what's good, salvage what's possible and turn this thing around into a respectable universe. I feel it's a makeshift plan with things they will look to put in more focus going forward as they gain better vision.

I imagine with The Flash film confirmed, it means that Supergirl will still come into the DCU, but it doesn't mean that Cavill is no more like it did before. Because Zaslav still wants Cavill, Superman and Supergirl will have to coexist regardless of what Walter Hamada thinks. Replacing Cavill with Supergirl was a massive red flag but them coexisting, I can get with that. From what I hear, Hamada won't be in the picture much longer anyway. They are searching for his replacement.

That's what I'm getting out of this latest report right now. Definitely will read the fellow fandom's thoughts here to see where their heads are at. Big news day. I'm not a fan of The Flash film releasing but I get the massive money involved and using the film as a creative catalyst where Barry's journey with all of Ezra's real-world problems end as he's lost in the multiverse and Wally emerges for the swap. We could do much worse.

Cinematically, I believe this would flow well and still satisfy the DC fandom while cutting DC's future losses by letting go of Ezra Miller for good.

  Honestly, I'd be down. But then why insert Batfleck into the Flash film and the Aquaman 2 film? Shoot, I don't care. I'd still be fine with a wipeout either way. Treat it like a Crisis of Infinite Earths, blow up the Earth they're on and start fresh with the rebirth of the new DC Universe and keep the actors we want to stick around and boot out the ones we don't. Or treat it similarly to War on Apokolips when Flash uses the Speed Force to erase everything that happened after the mass trauma that Darkseid brought in their battle. At this rate, I'd be cool with it.

A future Flash film has the ability to soft reboot the DC Universe which is what they're striving to do but what was created through the SnyderCut isn't acknowledged as canon. We'll find out soon if WB goes with Ezra's film in 2023 or remove him and his film altogether and start from scratch with a new Flash film and a redirected vision.

    The old regime would NEVER have considered Snyder Cut canon. It’s more likely that the new regime is considering ZSJL canon rather than the shitty JL17 movie OR both are canon and will be acknowledged in The Flash film and are just seperate universes. Face facts. ZSJL is the better film and everything Snyder put together is far better and cohesive than the other bullshit. They would rather use cohesive films that make sense as a foundation to build a multiverse then to start over completely and ignore what has been done. That’s what the old regime tried to do. They tried to ignore what Snyder did and they kept digging a hole of shit. The new regime is making smart moves to build a stronger foundation and create a cohesive universe to launch a bigger multiverse.
    Ignoring past mistakes doesn’t make things better. Embracing what was done to build a stronger foundation will. That’s why the new regime is way better than the old regime.

It’s hilarious that all the terrible decisions the old regime made that pissed me off were always praised by the media but the new regime is getting shit on by the media for decisions that make sense. This 10yr plan will not work if they release movies that will fuck up the plan. Batgirl needed to be cancelled because no amount of reshoots could save it. All other movies that are still being released have been delayed and received extensive reshoots. Affleck is returning because they don’t want to change the main DCEU Batman. Obviously they want to keep a significant amount of the OG DCEU, and what makes sense is keeping the good films. Those films that Snyder helped make. It’s just a guess but my guess is they would rather work with ZSJL than Josstice League. They need a foundation. That’s what they should use that’s what I think they are using. Let’s find out if I’m right.

Won't be able to believe anything Zaslav says from here on out. Cancelling projects before pre-production is one thing, but cancelling a movie with no controversy surrounding it's main lead while being excited for The Flash is just a joke.

Black Adam and Shazam 2 are done but not looking forward to whatever they have planned ahead.

Sounds mostly positive. I do have one genuine question that I’m wondering if anyone can answer. This whole 10 year plan stuff would have obviously been sorted weeks and weeks ago. It seems fairly obvious now that they definitely won’t be moving forward with Michael Keaton’s Batman as a sort of Nick Fury like figure as was originally planned. My question is why not change the scene in Aquaman 2 where he was needed rather than bring back Ben Affleck’s Batman even if it was for just one scene? Which links on to another question, is this “reset” going to be a complete reboot with new characters or are they continuing with the current cast as Aquaman, Shazam and The Flach are still due to be released? It would be great if they can get Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill on side, but it has proven very difficult to do.

Something for everyone. Fans get to see Darkseid fight against the JL we saw in ZSJL and then from that other versions of characters can be created or revisited.
  DC’s strength has always been multiple versions of favorite characters. It’s the one thing that can bring the fan base together. Erasing and rebooting will only further divide the fans.

    Right now, Shazam 2, Aquaman 2, The Flash, Wonder Woman 3, and possibly Black Adam all take place in the existing DCEU continuity. That is 2-3 years of announced DC movie projects, all of them practically fiinished with the exception of WW3. And there is also Blue Beetle, which might or might not be in the same universe. I don't see how that fits into the 10-year plan unless the plan is to build from the existing universe rather than going for a hard reboot.
    Besides the studio is still making standalones like the Reeves Batman movies and Joker 2 , which clearly are outside the 10-year plan. .

Will the 10-year-plan build from the existing DCEU or are they planning a hard reboot? If the latter,where does that leave the soft reboot planned for The Flash?
The easiest way would be to start from scratch in the Reeves Batman universe introducing a new Superman, Wonder Woman, and so on. But ,with at least 3 (and possibly as many as 5) legacy movies in the old DCEU yet to be released, it is hard to see how they would do it. Besides, they are still producing standalones like Blue Beetle, or will the new standalones be integrated somehow into the 10-year plan?

  I assume they're planning a hard reboot, as continuing the current universe outside the 4 already completed movies wouldn't make much sense. As someone who enjoys the current universe...to a degree, even I have to admit it's not salvageable.
  As for The Batman, I expect it to remain standalone, as that's how it was envisioned. It's safe to say this (presumably) rebooted universe won't take shape until Reeves is nearly done with his trilogy, so they might as well let him finish and reboot Batman into a shared universe.

unpopular opinion here probably.
They should hard reboot and just start with either a JL movie or World's Finest with the trio. Hell, maybe don't even worry about solo movies for the time being. Just do a trilogy of JL films with an awesome passionate director at the helm of it. I never believed in the "you have to build it up with solo films first" thing that the MCU cemented to most people, and now they are in a better position than ever to not abide by that supposed rule imo. Having to totally start over from scratch with "phases" and all that just seems exhausting to me at this point. From what I can tell, a lot of people's disappointment with the DCEU stems from the lack of the big ensemble events. So just do that. And do it well this time. The JL works as its own standalone IP. We have gotten a bunch of solo movies. People know most of the characters. Just go with The Batman logic. No need for another origin. Just go straight in and do the thing. Everybody gets it by this point. Honestly the original Snyder era blueprint wasn't actually that bad in theory. The execution was just a giant mess and people were totally caught up in how the MCU was doing things at the time.
Like I said, instead of Batman fighting Superman, do a proper World's Finest. It's just three characters that EVERYBODY KNOWS. Follow up with a Justice league movie.
And keep the Reevesverse and whatever other non JL related properties going parallel such as Gunn's Suicide Squad and maybe the Shazam/BA/JSA thing depending on how all that goes. Having one batman that only appears in JL movies and another focused on entirely on solo experiences with its own tone would be the best way to distinguish two theatrical batmen going at the same time imo

Here’s the plan… revive Snyder’s plan and finish out his story with Darkseid. Then when that’s over, as a teaser/end credit scene for what’s to come they introduce Pariah. Then they make a movie about Pariah as the main character. That can be a two or even 3 part movie that brings all the universes together. That means ZSJL and JL17 can be separate universes and both canon. That means WW84 can be a seperate universe or even established as same universe as JL17. We can see Burton-verse and even see Clooney return just for fun. The point is that stuff can be organized in this movie and we can see things possibly be erased forever or seperated into coherent universes. Then after this huge event of movies we can have more than one version of characters and each fan can have a favorite and we can all still love DC without fighting. I’d love to see Snyder’s finished vision and maybe an Affleck solo but that doesn’t mean I don’t want other fans to enjoy seeing Keaton again or Pattinson.
DCEU needs fixed. Crisis on Infinite Earths can be the way to go, but I think Pariah and Monitor should be major players. Not Flash. All other big name characters are just big cameos and not major players.
Personally I think having Cavill as young Superman and Routhe as old Superman would be cool. Blue Beatle should play a big role. Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. Joseph Gordon Leavitt plays Nightwing. Just fun cameos. But the story has to be right too. It can’t be cheesy.

I read that the Flash film cost $200 million to make, so I get that Zaslav isn't looking to scrap the film, although I know I would. Apparently, not even a tax write-off could let that film go right now, but whatever, moving on.
My latest thought with this news of the 10 year plan and Zaslav going ahead with The Flash and it being essential to the DCU story, if he has another idea in place that he's holding back for now...
I wonder if Zaslav might look to make a way for Barry to exit the film at the end, leave a big cliffhanger or some other occurrence and make the way for Wally West to enter through the multiverse and become DC's main Flash from here on out???
Considering ALL the factors in play from all that Ezra has done and the liability he is going forward, to the SnyderCut not being acknowledged as canon, to bringing in the birth of the DC multiverse via Flashpoint, a transition in this film from Barry to Wally is actually viable...

Regarding the 10-year plan, I'm not surprised to hear they have a plan in the works. With all this shifting going on for DC in 2022 and Dwayne Johnson as part of the DCU, touting that the DCU is about to change for the past couple of years, they are clearly setting up for a big year moving forward in 2023 and to do the best they can to keep what's good, salvage what's possible and turn this thing around into a respectable universe. I feel it's a makeshift plan with things they will look to put in more focus going forward as they gain better vision.
I imagine with The Flash film confirmed, it means that Supergirl will still come into the DCU, but it doesn't mean that Cavill is no more like it did before. Because Zaslav still wants Cavill, Superman and Supergirl will have to coexist regardless of what Walter Hamada thinks. Replacing Cavill with Supergirl was a massive red flag but them coexisting, I can get with that. From what I hear, Hamada won't be in the picture much longer anyway. They are searching for his replacement.
That's what I'm getting out of this latest report right now. Definitely will read the fellow fandom's thoughts here to see where their heads are at. Big news day. I'm not a fan of The Flash film releasing but I get the massive money involved and using the film as a creative catalyst where Barry's journey with all of Ezra's real-world problems end as he's lost in the multiverse and Wally emerges for the swap. We could do much worse.
Cinematically, I believe this would flow well and still satisfy the DC fandom while cutting DC's future losses by letting go of Ezra Miller for good.

    Honestly, I'd be down. But then why insert Batfleck into the Flash film and the Aquaman 2 film? Shoot, I don't care. I'd still be fine with a wipeout either way. Treat it like a Crisis of Infinite Earths, blow up the Earth they're on and start fresh with the rebirth of the new DC Universe and keep the actors we want to stick around and boot out the ones we don't. Or treat it similarly to War on Apokolips when Flash uses the Speed Force to erase everything that happened after the mass trauma that Darkseid brought in their battle. At this rate, I'd be cool with it.

    Nah, not by the WB/DC current management. No Darkseid, no Steppenwolf, nada. A future Flash film has the ability to soft reboot the DC Universe which is what they're striving to do but what was created through the SnyderCut isn't acknowledged as canon. We'll find out soon if WB goes with Ezra's film in 2023 or remove him and his film altogether and start from scratch with a new Flash film and a redirected vision.

      The old regime would NEVER have considered Snyder Cut canon. It’s more likely that the new regime is considering ZSJL canon rather than the shitty JL17 movie OR both are canon and will be acknowledged in The Flash film and are just seperate universes. Face facts. ZSJL is the better film and everything Snyder put together is far better and cohesive than the other bullshit. They would rather use cohesive films that make sense as a foundation to build a multiverse then to start over completely and ignore what has been done. That’s what the old regime tried to do. They tried to ignore what Snyder did and they kept digging a hole of shit. The new regime is making smart moves to build a stronger foundation and create a cohesive universe to launch a bigger multiverse.
      Ignoring past mistakes doesn’t make things better. Embracing what was done to build a stronger foundation will. That’s why the new regime is way better than the old regime.

        They are not considering the SnyderCut canon. They have stated this already. And yes, I know full well the old regime would never.
        SnyderCut is 100% the better film I know, And the new regime is not better than the old regime YET. This move with The Flash will determine if they learned the lessons from their past flaws. That's what this Flash film is all about - providing the right vehicle of transition into the new revised vision of the DCU and taking the good characters that were created within it on a better cohesive path that actually makes sense.
        Simple as that.

        So far all the decisions they’ve made make sense to me. It’s hilarious that all the terrible decisions the old regime made that pissed me off were always praised by the media but the new regime is getting shit on by the media for decisions that make sense. This 10yr plan will not work if they release movies that will fuck up the plan. Batgirl needed to be cancelled because no amount of reshoots could save it. All other movies that are still being released have been delayed and received extensive reshoots. Affleck is returning because they don’t want to change the main DCEU Batman. Obviously they want to keep a significant amount of the OG DCEU, and what makes sense is keeping the good films. Those films that Snyder helped make. It’s just a guess but my guess is they would rather work with ZSJL than Josstice League. They need a foundation. That’s what they should use that’s what I think they are using. Let’s find out if I’m right.

Won't be able to believe anything Zaslav says from here on out. Cancelling projects before pre-production is one thing, but cancelling a movie with no controversy surrounding it's main lead while being excited for The Flash is just a joke.
Black Adam and Shazam 2 are done but not looking forward to whatever they have planned ahead.
Just hope they don't cancel Doom Patrol and Harley Quinn. Possibly their best good to high quality current projects running

Sounds mostly positive. I do have one genuine question that I’m wondering if anyone can answer. This whole 10 year plan stuff would have obviously been sorted weeks and weeks ago. It seems fairly obvious now that they definitely won’t be moving forward with Michael Keaton’s Batman as a sort of Nick Fury like figure as was originally planned. My question is why not change the scene in Aquaman 2 where he was needed rather than bring back Ben Affleck’s Batman even if it was for just one scene? Which links on to another question, is this “reset” going to be a complete reboot with new characters or are they continuing with the current cast as Aquaman, Shazam and The Flach are still due to be released? It would be great if they can get Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill on side, but it has proven very difficult to do.

Announcing you're going to do similarly to your competition doesn't sound exciting at all. Why not just leave it at a 10 year plan? Anyway, as long as they hire people willing to do quality work first, no matter their social membership, and keep SJW's out of it, they should be fine.
