   Great news, hopefully it's as good as the first one. I expect The Batman sequel to open in 2025. I also don't expect the Joker to be the villain, as both movies will be too close to each other for that, so he will probably be saved for the 3rd batman movie.

         Beautiful choices. :) Those are my top two as well, and they fit Pattinson's Batman like a glove.

         It might even be cool to intermingle the Court and Hugo Strange... and maybe add some other characters into the mix to be part of the bigger conspiracy. I could see him cooperating with them for some greater ulterior purpose.

         Excited to see what villains they set up on the show(s?) they're making and how that informs the next movie.

            Hugo Strange has been a wishlist film villain since the Nolan days for me, insanely underrated character and fits a grounded universe fine as well as opening a grounded universe up to the more out there stuff if they decided to adapt the Monster Men stuff.

      It would be interesting to open up to supernatural characters. Like how the first season of Game of Thrones was grounded and felt like it actually happened and then magic came in.

            There's a difference between cancelling a 90M film and 200M+ film plus AM1 made over a billion and Batfleck was recently added to the cast. Superman and Lois has been giving S3 and performs as well. So far only 1 film has been dropped so quit your dumb trolling as it makes you look dumber then you already are.

         If you think DC is going to suddenly cancel everything then you probably don't have a good understanding of how business works.
         Zaslav is just canceling projects that are non viable.
         You're right The Flash or Blue Beetle might be canceled.

         But there is no way that the sequels to The Batman or Aquaman are going to be canceled after their resounding success at the box-office. Especially Aquaman that made over a billion dollars.

   Some great films tank at the box office, the exact same way certain godawful, character-ruining, pretentious rip-offs like Joker can make a literal billion dollars.

   As an absolutely huge fan of the Batman franchise (and especially the Joker character) I couldn't be less excited for this sequel. That sums it all up right there.

   I loved Joker as a stand alon movie. Don't know what to feel about this.
   Also the idea if a Joker movie as a musical is not very appealing to me.
   But I'll have to wait and see.
   Todd surprised me once. Maybe he'll do it again.

   Yes. The venom movies are the absolute gold standard of what a comic book movie should be and what comic book fans deserve.
   And Morbius was just the greatest movie ever made.
   And I'm sure Madame Webb will follow suit and be equally of the quality of the previous two movies. 👌

   Poor DC fans. Bieng deprived of the multitude of films milked from a single IP, of such great quality as Venom and Morbius.
   And they have to make due with films like The Batman and the Oscar Winning Joker.

         Exactly. It's fans like him why MCU has essentially become a factory of Assembly line products.
         If the only way to get multiple projects is the imminent fate of the MCU. I'd much rather haveuch fewer but more distinct products.

      Yes you're right. The Venom movies are a hit. And so were the Transformers films.
      Yes Morbius got released. That must be a really big accomplishment. Who cares about quality.
      Madame webb bieng played by someone you find attractive doesn't make it good. Just shows your standards for films. It will probab6end up bieng another Morbius.
      DC has struggled with female fandbase? Way pull things out of your *ss.
      Sony has got nothing worked out. Making movies is not a standard of having things worked out. Because if it was DCEU still has more films in it's shared universe than Sony. And outside of Spider-Man and Venom every Sony project has failed.

      If you think you're whipping anyone's *ss with Captain Marvel and Black Widow then I pity your taste.(Bkack Widow was miserable failure by the way).

      I personally don't care what other DC fans have claimed. I don't care or compete. I enjoy both Marvel and DC films. I left such trivial habits in the early immature days of my childhood.
      But I see your issue. You seem to be of the thought that the best thing a fandom can get from an IP is films for the sake of films without any regard to quality. And I say all the more power to you.
      I personally have some standards and prefer quality over quantity.
      I'd personally have no films at all then have multiple films like Venom and Morbius.
      Same with MCU. I used to love MCU films.
      But now they choose to put out subpar content in favour of putting as many things out in a year as possible. And if you're one of those people who will consume anything MCU will put out there just for the sake of it. Then good for you.
      But I can't enjoy Marvel's assembling line products anymore so I'm distancing myself from it.(Funnily enough it seems a lot of other people are too. Since outside of No Way Home every MCU movie post Endgame has underperformed).

      And I agree. DC is an absolute mess. That's why I appreciate Zaslav getting rid of subpar projects that won't work. I have no desire of having multiple DC projects just for the sake of it. I'd much rather they take their time and put fewer projects out their of the quality of films like The Dark Knight and Joker. Something the MCU has never been able to achieve. Only Logan came close but I don't see a movie like Logan ever happening again over at DC.
      And saying DC is dead in the water is just foolishness. The Batman Trilogy is underway. Aquaman 2 is coming and will probably have a 3rd movie too. Joker 2 is coming.
      And DC still has a limitless potential. And now with Alan horn back. We'll probably get some really good director driven movies like TDK Trilogy. Something sorely missing over at Marvel.

      So you can keep on enjoying your assembly line MCU films(though Wakanda Forever looks good). And Sony's masterpieces like Venom and Morbius.

      I would much rather wait for better days and better more creatively free movies over at DC.

         Where do I get my numbers from? Box-office Mojo.
         Black Widow had a budget of a whopping 200 Million dollars. Meaning it needed atleast 500 to 600 Million just to break even. Black Widow made 379 Million. It didn't even break even. It lost money.
         And Black Widow wasn't even in top 10 highest grossing films of 2021. Let alone Top 5.
         BW was 13th. Freaking Sing 2 and Eternals made more money than BW.
         If you're going to have an argument atleast look up the actual facts.

         I'm not a Marvel hater. Saw the Captain America films and the Avengers films in cinema on day one. Saw No Way Home and Multiverse of Madness both in cinemas. I'm just someone who recognizes MCU's faults.

         I agree the DC movies you mentioned were not well received and underperformed. Kind of like Phase 4 MCU films. And DC having bad films doesn't change the fact that so does the MCU.
         I already stated that I think DC messed up. But because they allow creative freedom to their directors. Which it seems they are going to do again under Zaslav and Alan Horn. They can make movies like The Dark Knight and Joker. A quality that the MCU will unfortunately never reach, because it's too busy producing formulaic assembly line movies.

         I never thought WW was the saving grace of DC. DC doesn't need a single character to be the saving grace of anything. DC has a ton of great characters to adapt.
         But I do agree that WW was a great movie. Far better than Black Widow and Captain Marvel.
         Shazam could get canned after Shazam 2. Aquaman is definitely not getting canned. It's a billion dollar movie.
         DC was going down. But now it actually seems to be coming back up again.
         The movies and shows that are bieng canceled were low budget subpar things. It's not a bad thing. It's a great thing.
         Now under Zaslav and Alan horn. DC can get rid of trying to create a universe. And focus on high quality individual projects like The Dark Knight and Joker.
         And if you think WB Discovery is actually going to sell an IP as big as DC then your more naive than I thought.
         And Kevin Fiege wouldn't be a good fit for DC. While the guy is a genius producer and great at coordinating multiple projects. His shared universe approache has made the MCU films homogenized and stale. They all look and feel the same. And they are all safe family friendly, pg 13 action comedies.
         I would much prefer dc to have individual director driven projects.

            If you pay a little attention. You'll realize that there is a whole world outside of USA/North America.(Which domestic gross accounts for.) And if you consider the entirety of the rest of the world(where most of the people live) you'll see that BW is not even in the top 10 highest grossing films. That even the Eternals made more money. That there were multiple films in 2021 that made more than double of what BW made.

            Torrent downloads and Rotten Tomatoes mean jack shit when your films don't make money.

            And if you're going to mention audience rating. Then Black Widow has an Imdb rating of 6.7 with more than 360,000 votes.

            Yes Pandemic did affect movies box-office.
            And in that Pandemic No Way Home made 1.9 Billion dollars.
            No Time To Die made 770 Million.
            F9 made 720 Million.
            Venom 2 made 500 Million.
            GvK made 470 million.
            Even Sing 2 made 400 Million.

            And BW made 379 Million.
            Got anymore excuses.

               I did consider the revenue from Disney+. It's literally stated in the Observer article you mentioned that even when you consider the Disney+ revenue the movie barely breaks even or perhaps doesn't even do that.😂😂😂
               But ofcourse you will purposefully pretend to be ignorant.

               Yeah and your wierd accusations won't work to derail the argument. For one reason or the other. Captain Marvel succeeded. I agree. And Black Widow failed. But you seem to be having a hard time accepting that.

               So keep making excuses and false statements.
