Yes, dear reader, Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen will turn back the clocks this November with Robin & Batman, a three-issue, prestige format miniseries that chronicles Dick Grayson’s early days as Robin.
Frankly, that’s enough to sell me the book right there: Dick Grayson, as written by Jeff Lemire, with Dustin Nguyen’s achingly beautiful water colors over his own pencils. Seriously, just look at these preview images from the interior:
Incredible stuff. Nguyen should go ahead and make room on his shelf for another Eisner or two.
There aren’t too many details available at the moment, but the first issue at least will ship with variant covers from Lemire and Rafael Albuquerque, so they’re certainly pulling out all the stops for this mini.
