Zack Snyder’s Justice League gets a new trailer tease featuring Apokolips

The upcoming Zack Snyder's Justice League trailer has received a new teaser video filled with unseen footage from the film.

If you don't want to see any more footage before the film is released, you definitely will not want to watch this video or scroll below it.

The new trailer is scheduled to be released on Sunday, Feb. 14, at 9:14am Pacific/12:14pm Eastern. As with the first trailer teaser, there's a lot of new footage here to digest. It also gives us our first brief glimpse of Granny Goodness alongside Darkseid and DeSaad. We'll just have to wait and see what other goodies Snyder has in store for us with this trailer.

Zack Snyder's Justice League will debut on March 18 on HBO Max in the U.S. and in various other territories on other HBO services.

      Perhaps that is true of Nolan, but it's definitely not true of Snyder. Snyder's style is very much his own. You can often tell a Snyder movie when you see it. Again, look no further than his detractors' own criticisms; so many unfailingly bring up his tone, themes, and aesthetics particular to him.

      Again, even his critics often recognize the visuals. One of the most common criticisms thrown his way is "He's all style no substance" and things along that line, with the understanding that he is capable of great spectacle but not good storytelling, for a reason. As for his peers, he certainly has their admiration in that department at least, as well. See the things James Cameron and Christopher Nolan have said about him.
      And there's simply no denying the aesthetic quality of so many countless shots in MoS and BvS it's not even worth talking about it because I might as well just point at the whole movie lol

      I just saw Blade Runner 2049 last weekend. Now THAT is a movie with gorgeous shots, criminally insane lighting & unbelievable framing. BvS genuinely looks like a turd in comparison.

      Look I'm not saying that Snyder is the greatest visual director of all time, or that he is the next Kubrick.
      But he is known for his distinct visual style, and that style is more often than not regarded as beautiful.

      I don't think his films are beautiful at all. BvS especially is a very ugly looking film, muddled with overwhelming greys & browns that are simply not pleasing to the eye. And as I said, the lighting especially is just outright BAD. Look at the "Do you bleed?" scene. You can barely even see Batman's cowl features. Nolan always made sure to use indirect lighting that compliment the details of the mask very well. Zack made the cowl look bland & without detail.

      BvS was actually *criticized* by a ton of critics for being extremely murky & dark (visually, not story-wise). It's a very badly lit movie no matter how you slice it.
      Literally no one proclaims his movies are "beautiful" EXCEPT for his fans. They are "distinct" in that they use an overwhelming amount of CGI & look extremely artificial. I don't see how that's necesarilly a positive.
      Lol, don't even begin to compare any of those movies to Zack Snyder. Nominations have absolutely nothing to do with "style" over "expression". Wtf does that even mean? Rango is a very "stylized" movie (that looks a thousand times better than Zack's Owl movie). Guess what? It got nominated.

      I was simply addressing your point that Snyder has never been appreciated by his peers, by pointing out that Snyder has indeed been appreciated by someone, who despite your reservations, is considered one the best and most influential director working today.
      The colour pallette of BvS was meant to reflect the somber nature of the film, using darker colors. Even then it wasn't just blues and browns.
      Snyder used multiple shades of contrasting blues and browns and orange and green.

      When I say expressive, I mean films that are more artistic in their nature. Snyder's films are stylized to fit his action. Such films rarely get nominated. Case in point The Matrix.
      And yes those films are very much comparable because none of them were nominated.
      And by your own logic the works of Robert Rodriguez, The Wachowskis and Snyder are very much comparable because none of them have ever been recognized with awards.
      Finally, Rango is an animated film. It was never nominated for cinematography. It was nominated for and won the best animated feature.

      It's not an opinion. I don't buy into superficial merit relativism. There are objective standards to any type of art. The fact that it is hard to quantify these standards doesn't mean we can't inherently notice differences in execution. It's a hard thing to describe, but something we all see on some level. For example, how do you quantify good CGI? There are no numbers or magical formula that determine how good CGI is... now who out there is seriously going to argue that Gravity was only "subjectively superior" to Sharknado in terms of CGI? No one. It is clearly objectively better. I'll grant that it becomes more difficult to objectively differentiate art forms the closer they are in execution (unlike a mere statistic or number, where it doesn't matter how small the disparity is b/c it's always noticeable, for example: I am 1.88 m tall, my buddy is 1.87 m tall. The fact that the difference between us in terms of height is extremely small doesn't mean it's suddenly more difficult to measure, whereas with art the lines become blurred much more easily). So no, I don't buy it at all.
      It's irrelevant that Snyder was addressed by "one" peer, when said "peer" has frequently lied & made up all kinds of bs to promote or sell other movies/types of technology. A ton of Hollywood elitists had praised the likes of Harvey Weinstein for years, if not decades. Is that suddenly a reflection of his moral character, or do we recognize the self-evident reality that Hollywood is infested by morally bankrupt degenerates who'll say anything to further their careers? You tell me.
      No one CREDIBLE, nor any ORGANIZATION has recognized Snyder's supposed "talent" as a visual storyteller. That to me is far more meaningful than one guy, who's known to be full of shit, praising him... or a group of blind loyalists with, no offence, no regard for true artistic cinematography acting like his movies are the peek of movie visuals.
      Exceptions don't break the rules, BvS was overwhelmingly brown & grey. This has absolutely nothing to do with "reflecting the story". It's just the mirky, CGI infested visuals that Snyder far too frequently uses. A movie like Prisoners is extremely dark. Guess what? That movie had stunning cinematography & wasn't depressingly brown & ugly. The lighting specifically was masterful. So again, I don't buy it. The Dark Knight was a "dark" movie in terms of tone. It did not have a mirky brown look either. This is a really poor excuse tbh.
      You deny that BvS was monotone in its color pallet, yet the picture you reference literally proves that most of those shots were... brown & grey. With the exception of the Knightmare scene (which let's be honest, was completely random & had nothing to do with the movie) & that shot of the Indian ocean (which is literally like 10 seconds of the movie), it's all a combination of brown & grey. Specifically if we're talking about the action/effects/CGI heavy scenes. The Doomsday fight in particular was absolutely hideous, and that's the entire 3rd act of the movie ffs.
      I'm not using "one unflattering shot to claim Snyder's incompetence". You're the one bringing up exceptions to prove your case. The lighting for Batfleck's cowl is hideous all throughout the movie.

      It's very clear that Nolan always made sure to have indirect lighting or light sources that help give the cowl depth & detail. It's the same principle as paint-brushing. You can have all the detail in the world, but if you don't add a layer of black paint brush, it looks cheap.

      This is decent, b/c it's shot in "daylight". The moment there are no natural light sources anymore, Snyder again begins to fail.
      Then there's the main BvS fight. That's literally the ONLY Batman scene in the entire movie where the lighting is consistently decent. But the mechanical suit doesn't have the same detail & depth (to the cowl) so it wasn't as big a challenge anyway.
      Then the moment he turns back to his regular suit, the problem is there again.

      The warehouse scene is pretty inconsistent, but since it's a fast paced action scenes with few close-ups, I'll let it slide as well.

      These issues are extremely consistent. Throughout the entire movie, his cowl is lit extremely poorly, giving it a bland look & negating the permanent frown molded into the rubber that gives Batman's appearance a lot of character.
      The dreaded "I thought she was with you" shot has the EXACT same issue:

      WHAT A SURPRISE!!!! The exact SAME ISSUE!!!! Jesus man, just accept the fact that BvS has very poor lighting, which is something any decent cinematographer or photographer will point out to you in a second. It's just flat out bad. Literally the ONLY scene where you can actually see the details of the suit & how cool the cowl actually looks if it's lit properly, is the picture you linked... and he's not even freaking wearing the damn thing, so it honestly barely even counts. That's how it basically should've looked throughout the movie & you know it. Just like we both know there isn't ONE scene where the lighting is anywhere near as gracious as that suit/Batcave reveal shot.
      As for the "Do you bleed" shots, they're regular shots. There's nothing special about them & they certainly don't have "amazing contrast", lmfao.
      "Pure visual spectacle" is often used to describe high end blockbuster movies. It's not a genuine reflection of one's cinematographic capacity.
      Yea, I was wrong about Rango. I thought it was nominated... still, it received widespread praise for its visuals, so it still debunks your premise that "stylized" movies don't get recognition.

      The moment you start claiming objectivity is the moment this conversation takes an unhealthy turn.
      Art is very much subjective. Just look at Van Gogh. By any standard, Van Goghs paintings are very simplistic and far less detailed than paintings by the likes of Da Vinci and Michelangelo. Does that mean they both are objectively better then Van Gogh. No, because perception of art is subjective.
      You say that you don't care about an oscar winning, trend setting, influential director praising Snyder, but consider validation by the organization that validated cameron to be real merit. And once again, by that criteria there tons of Directors better than Hitchcock because he never won an oscar and Jake Gyllenhaal and Mark Wahlberg are of tge same caliber as both of them only have one oscar nomination.
      Again as I said perception is subjective. From the pic that I posted, you still just see murky brown and blue images. I see multiple shades of contrasting colors used beautifully to convey a certain tone and mood.
      Of the pics you posted, the first one was purposefully made to look obscure. There is context for it in the film. The next 2 are still from the do you bleed scene. And after that every pic of Batfleck is really good. And I don't see anything wrong with them. Especially the pics of Batfleck in the plane and Baleman in The Bat are extremely similar.
      And I just loved the last shot of Batman in red.
      And Nolan himself had very average cinematography in Batman Begins.
      In the end it is as simple as this. To me, by any objective standard BvS is not an ugly film. If I judge it "objectively" the movie ranges from good to outright beautiful. But I also accept that this might just be my opinion.
      To you, the film is objectively ugly. And even if you don't accept it, it is still just your subjective opinion.
      That is why I find it best to simply agree to disagree in such scenarios.
      So, here is me, agreeing to disagree.
      You're more then welcome to not accept it on your own.

Similar to you, I used to comment on this site a lot back in the day, but lately there are just so many negative and horrible of people who seem to love hating on something that the most people love. For the life of me I don’t understand why anyone would choose to be horrible when there are a wealth of other comic book movies for them to watch

      It's bland and forgettable. The color scheme utilizes various shades of grey, the most forgettable color there is, and the pattern of his armor is unnecessarily busy with nothing really eye-catching, except the omega symbol on his chest. Turned away for a minute, and I'm already forgetting what he looks like. On top of that, he is not imposing. He lacks the size and the mass that befits his stature and comes off as a dystrophic Doomsday.

      oh c´mon, don't be just like this. We can see he is huge here, towering over the rest, and we can also see how big he is in his Uxas form in the scene where he is with his accolytes in the History part.
      About the colors, well he IS gray, so that's out of discussion; now, I may agree with you about the color of the armour, but we see it in a room where golden light is entering, let's wait until we see it more clearly.
      The design of the armour is very reminiscent of the Injustice one, which I like, but again let's see it with more detail before doomming it/praise it!

      Yeah, it is definitely more distinct, as far as color scheme and design go. The golden omega symbol on the purple armor is eye-catching. I would still dial it down on the pattern in the abdomen area, but it is good. The helmet is more pronounce as well and doesn't look like he is wearing headphones.

      It's true. That is literally beautiful to look at. Shouldn't be a surprise at all, since that's literally the one thing Snyder is known for by EVERYONE, lover and hater alike - that his visuals are usually pretty gorgeous. That is certainly true of this Apokolips shot. The colors, the shadows, the intricate gigeresque designs. Very painterly.
      As for innovative, yep, this is definitely a very unique take on representing the visual language of these characters and their world that to my knowledge has never been done before in a cbm like this.
      So I ask, do YOU even hear YOURSELF?

      Ornate intricacy fits regality, gives an air of splendor and in this case menace and a sense of being more than our minds could conjure, as well. As for the technological aspect, Snyder has explained that the Apokoliptian armor is dynamic; it has many parts because it reacts independently and changes as needed, so it is more complicated BECAUSE it is more complex, in this case.
      Also this cannot at all be accurately described as "random grey metal slapped all over his torso" - it's super intricately designed layers and patterns of metal evocative of a gigeresque art style

      Yeah that's a good question. I suspect we might find out. Off the top of my head, my first assumption would be because Steppenwolf is related to Darkseid in this movie as he is in the comics, so they'll just use that similarity as a way of visually connected them as being related.

      The Injustice 2 design is far better, in every way. It manages to be comic accurate (which Snyder's take only marginally is) while keeping his colors and updating them. The Injustice 2 design is fundamentally not embarrassed about the source material and manages to adapt the comic book look into a gritty and modern take that still has color and doesn't look bland at all. It still looks distinctively like Darkseid.
      I have to wonder if the people defending the grey on grey really truly believe what they are saying, or they are just being tribal in their defense of Snyder.

      I would though. Snyder's movies have plenty of bad designs I'm happy to point out. Doomsday, many of Superman suit #2's changes, the Tactical Batsuit's goggles, going with what is basically just a green version of the standard Aquaman suit for JL for what is supposed to be his proto-costume especially after he had a perfect alternative from BvS to go with instead (hoping this one gets a little bit more justified with ZSJL, though). This is far from one of them.

You have a habit of claiming you would totally point out flaws to make yourself seem more reasonable and "objective', but history has shown you never actually follow through.       When I play around with the hue of the image (not editing any specific colors, just increasing the red overall), the background becomes far more red, while the armor appears to stay grey. It may well end up different in the film but I doubt it's a lighting thing.

      I always liked the black suit for him from the Morrison/Waid 90s JLA comic, so the darker gray as opposed to blue doesn't bother me so much.
      Come to think of it, that was also a 'fix the bad ending future' story. One of the most memorable Atom moments I can think of. Wonder if we'll ever get THAT in a movie! (Wait, Ryan Choi is going to be in this right?...)
      I just think there should be a darker contrast from his skin, which there does seem to be here.
      This isn't entirely what I would have done, but I appreciate what they're going for. I like him to look like a thick chunk of cracked volcano, and personally don't think Darkseid is the kinda guy who needs much more than a beefy chin strap and a tunic, but the concept for the armor is still pretty cool and thoughtful in it's own way.

      The Rock of Ages costume is good for sure. I think everyone's issue with what we see in the tease is the lack of contrast. The color of the costume is too close to Darkseid's skin color, and there is no definition or contrast on the costume itself, such as the Omega symbol.
      It would be interesting if they took parts of that storyline and adapted it, but I don't think they are. I think Atom is just showing up as Ryan Choi, not in a costume, an according to the hardcore Snyder fans Darkseid is just a cameo. I'm skeptical of that but we will see.

      I don't think it's not fine. He's been depicted in the comics (beautifully by the way) in all grey costumes before that by far surpassed his usual boring design. Other colors too. I never expected him to be wearing blue necessarily in his first cinematic live action appearance anyway. To me it's sort of like the difference between Batman in blue versus black. This is more intimidating and evil looking and easier to take seriously in live action.

      Well yeah, by any normal standard of what those words mean, that would be the case. His classic blue leather look has SOME interest in that it is evocative of dictators like Hitler, but all in all it is thoroughly mundane, implausibly human, and virtually featureless, as well as slightly hokey.
      This, on the other hand, has none of those problems. It is highly detailed, giving it visual interest; looks like the kind of thing an extradimensional alien god of evil would wear as opposed to a human dictator; looks dark and scary; and is a creative, original take while still resembling the comics enough.

  This coming from someone that a) argued till he was blue in the face that two clearly distinct Darkseid designs looked different aside from costume when that was not the case and everybody called him on it, b) that Batfleck did not deliberately kill anyone in BvS despite Thanasis and others repeatedly proving otherwise, c) that the garbled mess of a time travel/vision/memory/dream thing in BvS was good writing and no different from other time travel mechanisms in other fictions despite that being patently untrue, d) that an alien that happens to look human, get his powers from a yellow sun and can fly and shoot lasers from his eyes is not science fantasy but realistic hard science fiction....

In the Hallelujah teaser trailer, it made sense because he was basically swimming through this weird extradimensional medium.

Need a better quality still of that scene, but I think Darkeseid design is quite on point here! Also, it looks better than when we saw Uxas in the first teaser. Again we need to see it with better quality, but I think CGI has definitively improved, let´s hope is good enough when the movie releases

      Thank you! I've been saying that for years. On the surface he has a freakishly pleasant Mormon type of personality, but everything that comes out of his mouth is a passive aggressive argument or lie.
      I use profanities straight up because I see what he does and it is infuriating. He doesn't argue in good faith, ever. Every other Snyder fan on this board who didn't come in the last 2 months I've always been able to have reasonable discussions with no issue. Why? It’s just what comes with territory of passionate fandom. I remember not liking the Tumbler reveal pic or the Ledger reveal Joker pic. I ended up loving both in the films. I’m sure most people loved the Batfleck photo reveal, but then plenty did not like his representation in BvS. These teases are gonna strike a cord on both sides of the aisle. Feb 14th is when we can really discuss further and then obviously March 18th will be the true test. These teases just get us talking and thinking, which is why Zack’s doing it.

Part of the reason the comment section yesterday was more acceptable was because you restrained yourself from replying to every single post that said something negative about Snyder.

Loved the clip. I feel like this is going to be one of those long 3+ minute trailers to really rev up the hype.

I am loving everything I've seen up till now. Seems like the nightmare sequence will be quiet extended. Gives me hope that Snyder maybe able to wrap his original Knightmare plan in this one.
Also, the Knightmare scorched Earth is beautiful to look at.
I also like his interpretation of the Apokalypse. He seems to be going for a grand ancient Egyptianesque design. Seems kind of befitting of a race called the New Gods.
And ofcourse, any scene of Batman being badass is always welcome.

Can't wait for tge 14th.

  The neck pieces, the chest armour, the belts around the waist that go down, the cuffs. All look similar. On top of that both if their armours have plate or needle like designs.

      That's a very specific armor from Greece. Greek Lamellar armor is basically the same as Egyptian armor it also comes with a skirt and has those many different armor plates like Darkseid for example. This type of armor is extremely common.

      It still does not have the neck piece, or the intricate chest piece with needle like designs that the egyptian armour has. And the skirt like part of the egyptian armour is much closer to what Darksied is wearing than this one.
      I will give this much that his attire as Uxas has some similarities to greek attire.
      Which plays into my point that Snyder is taking inspiration from ancient civilizations and cultures that had grand depictions of gods.

      Again, “lazy” can in no sense apply to this.
      This is still a blend of fantasy and tech, just in a darker, more organic, less mechanical and retro-looking way. If you wanted the hokey comic designs for the New Gods stuff translated into live action exactly 1:1, it would be a carbon copy of Thor: Ragnarok, which itself fits the aesthetic established by Guardians of the Galaxy, and countless other sci-fis outside the CBM genre, too. So no, that’s not the route to go if you want to set the DCEU apart from the crowd.
      This take has never been done for CBM aliens in this way at all - can you think of an example I’m forgetting? And it’s also much less hokey and much more fitting, once again, for what extradimensional gods would be expected to wear. You could interpret the comics looks through a more cyberpunk lens that would probably produce something kinda cool, but this works just as well - better actually, in that I would still argue the elegance, ancient/magical-yet-simultaneously-high-tech quality of this design fits extradimensional gods better than griminess and crude, boxy mechanical parts and neon colors would, as well as certainly fits the aesthetic of this world in general better. Also this is more intimidating than that would be, for sure, and probably cooler looking, frankly.
      Darkseid and Desaad ARE grey aliens. That’s their characters, nothing generic about it, just them (plus they don’t look like any others I’ve seen). You wanted that changed from the comics? Or do they become somehow less generic to you if you put them in simpler, more generic clothing, or if they’re human actors (which is also by its very nature necessarily more “generic” than a giant grey alien could ever be)? LOL

      First of all just because guns and connons were invented does not mean soldiers in tge south east asia suddenly stopped using armour.
      The still relied heavily on swords and axes.
      Secondly, tge point is not the difference between chan mail and Lamellar.
      The point is that the same armour can have different designs based on culture.
      Both Marathi and Mughal soldiers used chainmail, but the designs of their armour were different based on their cultures.
      Similarly while yes many ancient cultures used Lamellar armour, the specific design were still tailored to their cultures.
      And the Egyptian armours had a ynique look which I find similar to what Darksied is wearing.

      Apokolips is usually more orange/red like fire in atmosphere, not this sort of sandy look/feel. This feels very desert-y in that sense. Plus, even if Apokolips were usually gold, you're ignoring the fact that gold in conjunction with this intricate armor look is specifically what we're dealing with. I can definitely see how those things together can denote an Egyptian flavor for people.
      He looks like darkness personified. That's a good thing.

  Somehow I don't think that is the case. I don't think Zack is even going to shift the color grading of the film to adjust for mood and emotion like WW did so well, since he didn't do it in MoS or BvS. So yeah, much more grey to come.

Whose this we you’re referring to? Snyder fans? Not all Snyder fans are campaigning for a sequel. Snyder fans like myself just wanted an ending to the story he started in 2013. I wanted his complete 5 arc story to be told, but that ship has sailed long ago when Batman V Superman got a lot of negative reviews. Only a small percentage of people, myself included in that percentage, has loved Zack Snyder’s take on DC characters. It’s time for us to move on and just be grateful WB let Snyder finish his story. I don’t want some cliffhanger ending. I just want an ending and for it to be done once and for all. It’s time for the next generation of stories to be told.

    I want more Snyder has much as I want a reboot for the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy, but I have faced the facts that both are never going to happen. I don’t care for much of the DCEU other than the two Snyder films and I don’t want DC to become Marvel, but I also know when it is time to move on. These DC characters belong to all DC fans, not just Snyder fans.

      Truthfully, I did because WB did something similar with Superman II. I just didn’t know when. I thought it would happen one day because the opportunity was too good to pass up, but I feel there is a difference. WB would put up some money to finish something that was close to completion, but they would never give Snyder another $200 million to direct another DC film.

      WB and AT&T aren't putting up much of their own money; the cash mainly cones from Legendary or (before Ratner got ratted out) RatPac. They're like REIT's for movies.

      You do realize the only reason why Donner's Superman 2 got released was because a fan managed to get hold of some of the footage that had Marlon Brando and other unseen scenes and made a fan edit in 2004 and leaked it online which pissed off the WB execs and forced the WB studio to have Donners full version released in 2006 piggy backing off the failed Superman Returns. 30 years people asked for that cut until they were forced to do it, just like ZSJL. Difference is now there is social media and a new owner that listens. If a third Wonder Woman movie can be green lit on just views made on HBO max then imagine what a movie like Snyders JL that will get triple or even quadruple views will be like.....and that is what AT&T looks at.

Dude you ain't getting JL2 especially in today's climate, Snyder has said he has no plans for it, WB/DC is focusing on other things and they aren't going to spend $250m on sequel to a film what's exclusive to a streaming service what only a handful watched because most don't care for a 4 hour "extended cut" to a film they never liked originally.

    Sore winners are just as bad as sore losers in my book. There is nothing to gain from rubbing a victory in the faces of fans that have lost. DC fans are just as divided as this past election was. Snyder fans just wanted there film and non-Snyder fans just want to see their beloved DC characters done right to their own satisfaction.

I feel like Darksieds suit is actually a very dark blue and not grey or black at all.
It has a bluish hue to it. I think the yellow background and tint is making it look darker and duller.
I'm sure we'll have a better look in the film.
But I still love what I see.

    Thanos looked extremely cgi'd though in my opinion. He never looked once like he could exist in the real world. Mr nutsack chin. I'm not defending Darksides' effects here, merely saying i dont think Thanos was all that real looking in his appearance either. Brolin played him to a T though and made him a very believable villain.

    You can't say reviews support that statement, because we need the reviews for the Snyder Cut to do a fair comparison. The theatrical cut of JL has a 40% critics score and a 71% audience score which is higher than BvS, quite a bit higher in the case of the critics score.
    We've seen Zack have complete control before with Sucker punch, an BvS UE and it didn't work out so well, regardless of personal opinions and preferences the receptions were negative. So I don't think it's unreasonable to say that Zack's cut may well end up being worse than the theatrical cut in terms of reviews and reception, even if people like it more.

      You said JL was better than Sucker Punch and BVS. So I said reviews support that statement. JL has a higher score than both films. BVS was Snyder’s first film where it was totally up to him on where to take the story. With MOS he had Nolan and Goyer. JL is another film where he had complete control so I think it will have a lower score because Snyder’s films aren’t well liked.

      ZSJL already looks totally Snyder. Everything we’ve seen is his vision on steroids. It’s going to be everything his fans love and everything his critics despises. I’m thinking the film’s score will be low to mid 30s on RT. It will get points for being more complete than BVS, but not much more than that.

      I think what you have predicted is likely, but like everyone else I'm hoping it is something everyone can like and enjoy. I love DC and it would be nice to discuss the characters and rejoice in takes without arguing over them or having to defending not liking a take against overzealous fans.

      Not true. The Rise of Skywalker had the worst reviews than any other Star Wars film before it. Also, the critics seemed to be more forgiving with Wonder Woman 1984 than DC fans were. So keep fishing.

People, you have to understand for whom this movie is not for:

-General DC fans
-DC comics fans
-General audiences

This movie is for Snyder fans, and that's all. People who liked his MoS and his BvS back in the day and who still like them today. They're a number, of course, but not a majority. Just enough for Warner to see a profit giving Zack a few tens mills to rearrange his film and shoot new stuff and to improve the terrible theatrical version (because this is not what Snyder would've release in 2017, even if he had all creative control back then).

So it doesn't matter if we don't like it or if it's not a good adaptation of the comics, because neither MoS or BvS were that, and Snyder fans still loved them. And they're going to love this movie, no matter what, and we're going to dislike it, no matter what, because it's not made for us and it represents everything we hated about Snyder's DC films.

So chill and let them enjoy it while they can, because after this the DC Snyderverse will be over, and the other DC universe (current and official) will continue to exist and grow without Snyder's influence.

I'd like to acknowledge that people who don't like Snyder on this site are actually excited for the Snyder Cut to some degree. Of course, there's a big chance they won't like it and that's alright, but at least we've moved on from hate watching to "OK, let's see what he's got". At least the expanding roster of the movie sparks genuine curiosity and that is a welcome change.

I would also like to point out that this comment section isn't Twitter. We don't need to take the b₩llsh!t from there and spray whatever stink comes with it on people here, no matter which side of the fence we find ourselves on. I hope we can just cohabitate as DC fans.

Excited is not the word I would use. More like curious. This is a huge part of DC film history. This has only happened once before with Superman II when Donner was allowed to finish and release the film he tried to make back in the late 70s. Some will be fair with their critiques and some will be biased with their hatred. This film is truly for the Snyder fans that wanted their ending. As a Snyder fan, I am excited for ZSJL and for the non-Snyder fans they’re curious enough to watch it, but not optimistic enough to get excited.

If you go over the threads, you will see that the trash talk only begins where a criticism is levied toward Snyder. The criticism in itself isn't toxic at all. It's an opinion, like people are entitled not to like the creative choice being made. But there are some people here that don't allow any discourse about it because their fragile mind can't handle it.
