Batwoman season 2 trailer - The Batmobile rolls into town

A Batwoman season 2 trailer has arrived, and we're getting our first look at a lot of changes in the series.

The new Batwoman trailer gives us a good look at Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie), and newspaper headlines about how Kate Kane is missing. How Ryan gets the suit still isn't revealed, but it's clear it won't be without some pushback from Kate's crew.

Where the Batmobile comes in still isn't revealed. We aren't sure if this Batman's old one, or if Ryan puts together a new one. But we're sure to find out early in the season.

Batwoman season 2 will debut on The CW on Jan. 17, and episodes will stream on the CW app the following day for free.

What's even the point of this? I haven't really got anything concrete to base this on, but judging from the incredibly poor reception & commercial success of the first season, I believe the biggest reason they are continuing this joke of a series is b/c the producers can't admit to themselves that a show about a "strong woke lesbian female" superhero failed, so I guess they're now doubling down on the race aspect too for absolutely no justifiable reason.
I've long stopped caring about these CW shows but man, if they actually gave a crap about these properties, hired the right people & made something akin to the quality & tone of Netflix' Daredevil, this show could be absolutely awesome. Everyone would love to see a dark, smaller scale, more personal show about a hero like Kate but instead they just used the character to further this obscene CW woke drama.

A big reason the first season was bad was because of Ruby Rose, she looked good in the suit but she's a terrible actress and her fight scenes sucked because she can't do a single one of those moves especially when compared to Amell who could do most of the fight scenes and stunts. All they had to do was recast Kate and they may have been able to turn things around around, they have a great villain already so they just needed to fix the hero but no they threw the actual real Batwoman out and instead gave us a completely new character who just so happens to be lesbian like the previous Batwoman and just so happens to be an expect fighter and who can do all the things Batwoman requires.

They missed a big story point going forward with this. Kate is missing, Sophie is devastated by her ex's sudden disappearance, Sophie should have taken on the mantle of Batwoman. Such a no-brainer. Also the article above says that it is not known how Ryan gets the suit!!! Dosen't the new trailer see Ryan find it in a discarded bag?

I understand them trying something new with the show, but cannot help but feel that they have betrayed ALL the story threads and characters set up in its first season.

Sophie is a terrible character though and the actress is awful even by CW standards.

I heard the previous actress got fired. She only took on the job to get insurance to get neck surgery that she injured on a previous job.

    The story came from Andy Signore. Ruby was already working on or at least signed to do Batwoman, allegedly got hurt while filming a movie in Eastern Europe, but claimed it happened on Batwoman because the movie producers didn't have their insurance in order. Supposedly WB went along with it but didn't want to continue the relationship after the season. Yes, Ruby probably has her own health insurance, but just like for us ordinary folks, if you get hurt on the job the company should pay for it via workers' comp.

More Alice is a great thing as she's easily the best thing about the show but yeah meh to the rest, i will admit it looks better then i thought but i still have zero interest really. Again might watch the opener to see what the new girl is like and Alice might keep me watching for another episode or two but yeah meh.

It looks better and the new actress seems fun. I'll give it a shot expecting a better show than last season. I hope to see less Sophie and Mary and more of the new Batwoman and a manned up Luke Fox. Alice is a given, Rachel Skarsten being great in this.
