Starfire to have a big season on Titans according to executive producer

Titans season 3 is in production now, and it seems that Starfire fans are going to have a lot to enjoy this year.

As Titans season 2 drew to a close, we saw Kory's sister, Blackfire (Damaris Lewis), arrive on Earth. That was a pretty big hint that everyone's favorite Tamaranean was going to have a big season, and now that has been confirmed.

Speaking with TVLine, Executive Producer Greg Walker said, "We’re planning a big season for Kory this year. The arrival of her sister/nemesis Blackfire launches Kory down a path where she uncovers both secrets about her past and clues to her destiny… all of which will lead to her true calling as Starfire. Plus, we have a few other surprises in store for hardcore Starfire fans this season.”

Our first thought is perhaps we will see her fly with the famous hairstreak behind her. It's a big enough part of her character that we regularly see it in Starfire merchandise.

No word yet as to when Titans season 3 will debut, but it is set to debut on HBO Max in 2021.

I've also heard that Beast Boy will have at least 4 lines now in every episode he's in, sadly though because of this he's only in 2 episodes.

They shouldn't have included Beast Boy in the first place. His CG is too expensive and they deliberately left him out.

I would like to hope that means Jason only starts to be relevant in the last episode or something while the show focuses on Kory and then the Titans for the most part, but I can't give this show the benefit of the doubt. So I'm guessing this'll end up being an exaggeration.

Why would "Hardcore Starfire fans" like her depiction in this show?

She has the opposite personality of any other depiction of her in media. (she's basically a flippant selfish asshole)

In all fairness, it was said the surprises for the hardcore Starfire fans are to come, so maybe that's why. Let's not forget she has amnesia for the most part of season 1. I'm not saying it was a good idea, but it would explain why she acted like that.
