Shazam: Fury of the Gods revealed as the sequel's title

During the DC FanDome Shazam panel, it was revealed that the title of the sequel will be Shazam: Fury of the Gods.

You would have thought there might not be much to discuss at a Shazam! panel, and... you would have been right. As Zachary Levi kept stressing he didn't have much to share, it was revealed at the very end that the film will be called Shazam: Fury of the Gods. As to what that means, however, we don't know.

In a tweet following the panel, David F. Sandberg said, "We have a title! #Shazam! Fury of the Gods

We may not know much, but we do know there are going to be some angry gods.

Shazam: Fury of the Gods is scheduled to hit theaters on April 1, 2022.

The previous movie was one of the worst superhero movies and one of the worst blockbusters made in a while, it was awful, not even worth as entertainment.
Awful "comedy", miscast protagonist (i am talking about Shazam of course, not the kid), generic plot, it looked cheap, it was trash honestly.

I like the sound of it. Luckily they will explore more of these characters backgrounds, like the Rock of Eternity or its 7 guardians (The Wizard included, ofc)

Anger of what Gods? Didn't WW and JL say the Old Gods were all dead?

I really hope they improve on the first movie with this sequel. I found MoS a far better movie than Shazam and can't understand how Shazam is getting a sequel before Superman.

There was next to nothing for Superman at DC Fandome...I held out hope they'd just do the obvious and get Superman really right with Cavill, like with Momoa and Gadot, no division or controversy...I'm sure they could've made it happen if they gave a $#it. From bad comics to no game to this it's clear Superman isn't really that important to DC now...Superman is not big leagues anymore for them.

there are more gods than just the old and new gods plus shazam has a different roaster of pantheons that are connected to the old gods in some way but are far more magical plus shazam did share his power with his family wich isnt allowed

  Thats a fair enough point but its going to ask a lot of general audiences to wrap their heads around it. Or maybe its not i dunno. Hopefully as we learn more about the story, it makes more sense.

I would love to see a double sequel to this movie and Black Adam where the two parties have to meet, fight, and deal with something bigger connected to a legacy of their powers.
