CW teases what's to come in Flash season 7

Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, television production shut down long before season finales were shot. This leaves us with odd endings and even seemingly odder beginnings.

Flash season 6 ended last week with some unusual cliffhangers, and now The CW has released a tease for season 7 that at least promises us we'll see some stories wrapped up.

Do not read further if you don't want to be spoiled.

Flash Season 7

Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) lived a normal life as a perpetually tardy C.S.I. in the Central City Police Department. Barry’s life changed forever when the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator exploded, creating a dark-matter lightning storm that struck Barry, bestowing him with superspeed and making him the fastest man alive — The Flash. After a thrilling cliffhanger last season which saw the new Mirror Master (Efrat Dor) victorious and still-at-large in Central City, The Flash must regroup in order to stop her and find a way to make contact with his missing wife, Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton). With help from the rest of Team Flash, which includes superheroes Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), Ralph Dibny (Hartley Sawyer), and Nash Wells (Tom Cavanagh), as well as the Flash’s adoptive father Joe West (Jesse L. Martin), Meta-Attorney Cecile Horton (Danielle Nicolet), tough cub reporter Allegra Garcia (Kayla Compton) and brilliant tech-nerd Chester P. Runk (Brandon McKnight)…Flash will ultimately defeat Mirror Master. But in doing so, he’ll also unleash an even more powerful and devastating threat on Central City: one that threatens to tear his team—and his marriage—apart. Based on the characters from DC, THE FLASH is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (“Arrow,” “Supergirl,” “Riverdale”), Eric Wallace (“Teen Wolf,” “Eureka”) and Sarah Schechter (“Arrow,” “Supergirl,” “Riverdale”).

You know the world is in a weird place when it is just bluntly announced that the Flash will defeat his current big bad. It's not like we don't all know that will happen eventually, but to just unceremoniously announce it it a tad odd.

Currently, The Flash season 7 is scheduled to debut on Jan. 21, 2021, but as with anything at that moment, that is subject to change.

Yes lets cancel are highest ratings show what's just come after its best season since S3.

  How long can they keep dragging it?....Sorry but it has lost it's charm.

    Yeah, it has some heart still in it but I'm over the repetitiveness in the show and lack of growth in Barry. The season has become too much of a timekiller for me and no enjoyment. The one thing that strung along this season for me was Sue Dearbon and Elongated Man, but it's certainly not enough to keep me watching it. This season was my last. And with that, my last CW show altogether.

      I agree. I've skipped through he current season and Sue and Ralph is what I like about it too. I still want to get back on Legends of Tomorrow though.
      PS: Forgot to mention Tom Cavanagh. If he played all characters on the show I wouldn't mind at all.

      Yeah, regarding Cavanagh, that's part of the repetitiveness I'm annoyed by now. It was OK like maybe the first two three times when he came back each season but I'm long over it now. Good actor, just don't like the gimmick they have for him in the show.

The Berlanti group is fizzing out. They need new blood in there.

  Yeah, but that's not expected to happen as he's going to do the Green Lantern show for HBO Max and he's still involved with Titans. I don't even think changing the team would do much either, it's pretty hard to care about the Arrowverse anymore without Green Arrow. People are obviously still watching, but I don't think there's a way to bring in new people.

    I think, The issue with CW is their 22 episode format which results in a lot of filler.Streaming services gives you a lot of options.Also, They can afford better show-runners and writers.
