New Wonder Woman 1984 photo shows Diana fighting Cheetah

New images keep appearing for Wonder Woman 1984, and the one some people will consider the most exciting one yet has arrived.

Throughout the seemingly endless buildup to Wonder Woman 1984, we've been promised Cheetah (Kisten Wiig), but seen very little. While we aren't seeing her in what will be her final form, we're finally seeing her face off with Diana, and it looks to be a pretty even match.

The new image shows Wonder Woman has Barbara/Cheetah lassoed, but from the way her feet are braced, she's experiencing some resistance.

The second new image shows Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) wrapped up in the lasso.

It's becoming increasingly clear this fight in the White House is going to be a long one, and we're all for it.

Wonder Woman 1984 will hit theaters on Aug. 14.

Love the bright colors this movie is displaying. As a child of the 80’s I remember what a bright world looked like and I miss it.

I'm looking forward to Wiig as Minerva but can't say i like the designs they're going for. I really wish they went for the perfect Rebirth design. Also i hope they play on Diana and Minerva being friends, that was one of the best additions to Cheetah and made Cheetah way more tragic.

    Depends i think, the Rebirth design is more feral and animalistic so clothes if anything would look weird with it however the designs before that i agree suited clothes.

I don't think this movie will be as good as the first one or as interesting. Just looks off. Sophomore jinx.

  I thought the first movie sucked. Like really sucked hard. But this one I'm optimistic for. The trailer makes it look much more in line with what I would want from a WW movie.

  Also this is Jenkins third theatrical film. So Junior outing not Sophomore. I'm hoping the first WW was as bad as it was mostly do to Snyder and/or studio influence.

It seems Cheetah is already strong given how Diana struggles here, so perhaps there's a process of transformation until Minerva becomes full Cheetah, so then she'll probably be too strong for Wo Wo and she needs the eagle armor. Or there's a bigger threat coming, which seems more likely. I'm curious what Lord cooked up.
I can't wait for this!

  It seems that when the lasso 'activates' in these movies, it basically becomes pure energy tangibly incarnate.

It seems they are consciously moving away from that grimy grim-dark blue desaturated color effect Snyder favored in his DC movies as did Shazam and Aquaman...which is a good thing.
