First look at Superman in Dark Knights Metal sequel

No one should be surprised by the fact that we’ve got a new character design announced for Snyder and Capullo’s upcoming sequel to Dark Knights Medal. There's a lot of hype building around this event, and it's obvious both Snyder and Capullo are excited to share more with fans. The newest Justice League member to be announced is none other than the Man of Steel himself: Superman!

It looks like he’ll be rocking not only a new hairstyle and some torn off sleeves, but his weapon of choice will be his fists paired with a knuckle duster. If I had to guess, this is probably made of whatever metal Wonder Woman’s chainsaw is, since the two look to be similar colors, but as of right now that’s simply a guess.

Earlier today Scott Snyder tweeted out that there will be a big announcement on Wednesday from both he and Greg Capullo. I can only assume this is regarding The Encore and as Capullo’s calling it Death Metal. Looks like we'll be getting a name for the event then, and hopefully some details on when all this will be starting.

I’m looking forward to some firmer details coming out on Wednesday, but until then what new weapons or looks do you think the rest of the Justice League will end up with?

WTH?! This is not Superman. This reminds me of the New 52 story arc where he loses his powers. Not interested in this bs at all. Now I'm convinced more than ever that Snyder is overrated.

Well, good for you if you're hyped for this, but forgive me if I'm not jumping on the bandwagon of Snyder praise. I have already given this guy enough benefit of the doubt. Scott Snyder is a good writer but a horrible story teller. His story endings are always lackluster and left with a bunch of loose ends and unanswered questions. Not to mention that he has to go for crazy over the top and silly tropes all the time, and I'm sick of that. This Grant Morrison wannabe always thinks that bigger is better, which is idiotic. Because of his attitude:
1. His Batman run ended up with Batbunny, a giant Batrobot, and a forgettable villain (Bloom).
2. Rebirth was ruined with his Metal bs.
3. We ended up seeing the JL fighting deities that created the freaking universe and losing after a 39 issue run!
Why should I believe that this time is gonna be something better?!! Is it not enough that DC has Tom King and Bendis?! That's it for me with DC's current status and enough of this Grant Morrison wannabe that everyone praises regardless of all his flaws.

While I have never been let down by Snyder, I really think his stories are already exhausting. I remember an interview when he said Hell Arisen would be the one that ties everything he has written, and yet now we have this. Another big multiversal thing. I just wish Snyder went back to basic and make his writing in DC simpler. Following everything after year of the villain feels really exhausting and confusing.
