Superman & Lois casts the teenage sons of the super couple

The CW has found the actors who will be playing the teenage sons on Superman & Lois as Jordan Elsass and Alexander Garfin join the series.

Deadline is reporting that Elsass and Garfin will be playing the roles of Jonathan and Jordan respectively. Jonathan is described as being modest, kind-hearted, and clean-cut, while Jordan is highly intelligent and introverted with a mercurial temperament.

While the Arrowverse originally showed Superman & Lois having just one child, that was recently changed. During the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, the Kent family was wiped out. After the universe was reset, the Kents were back, but now they had two teenage sons. Neither son was seen, so this casting info is the first time they will appear on screen.

Elass will soon appear in the Hulu series Little Fires Everywhere alongside Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington. Garfin voiced Linus in The Peanuts Movie and has appeared on Law & Order: SVU.

Superman & Lois has been ordered to series at The CW.

Let's see if this show will generate enough interest after just seeing Brandon Routh as Superman in the Crisis.

  That's exactly why it matters. We got a pretty spectacular Superman in the crossover (at least I think so) and now we get the less spectacular one. It's like being offered a Heineken after you've had a craft beer. I mean I'm curious how it's going to be, I don't mind Hoechlin, but I don't know about everyone else.

    So just so I understand, you're suggesting Routh's Superman has underwhelmed Hoechlin's? Because I know quite a few people liked Tyler. I don't know if Brandon Routh's portrayal has changed that.

      Yes, I'm suggesting exactly that and I liked Tyler too, but Routh did change that a bit for me. I've seen other people feel that way too, that's why I'm mentioning it.

      Interesting. To be honest, I think this show will suffer because it's on the CW, regardless of which Superman they used. I just don't trust them to make a good Superman show.

Or, one of them doesn't have powers because of gold kryptonite and is evil jealous of his powered up brother. Just like in Superman/Batman: Generations.
