Colin Farrell confirms he starts shooting The Batman in two weeks

There has been a lot of speculation as of late whether or not Colin Farrell was already sporting his Penguin hair in public, and had already been on set of The Batman. It seems that neither of these things were accurate.

Originally a man with white hair was spotted on the set of The Batman holding an umbrella. Recently, Farrell was spotted in public with white hair leading many to believe there was a connection and he would be playing a version of Emperor Penguin. He has now appeared on Ellen and stated that the hair was something he had done for fun, and he was now back to his usual darker hair.

He also confirmed that he has yet to start working on The Batman and isn't due to start for another two weeks. Seeing as this interview was probably filmed on Monday or Tuesday, we would say that places his start dart around the week of Feb. 3.

This revelation about Farrell's hair leaves us back at square one as to what his Penguin will look like. Now we can't wait to see what the final costume is!

The Batman will hit theaters on June 25, 2021.

      Do you really just hate most things that this community tends to like, love, or even praise. No offense, but it kinda just sounds like you are nit picking. Burton did a solid job for the first cinematic Batman movies, (obviously some things are flawed like you mentioned, but we dont have to hate the film overall for just those few things) that's why people still watch them to this day.

      No, I just have strong opinions. I certainly strongly dislike almost every film adaptation because of the liberties they takes. Only Nolan has done service to the character so far.
      As for Burton doing a solid job, that's your opinion and you are welcome to it. I don't think he gets the character at all, and Kevin Smith agrees, for whatever that is worth.
      People watch for nostalgia, and in my opinion that is the only reason.

I had a nightmare yesterday in which I watched Reeves' Batman film, and man it was fucking horrible. It was just Robert in a pathetic looking Batman costume (like intentionally "low budget" to fit a more "realistic/made to look like he put it together himself" kind of approach) running around an abandoned hospital trying to chase the bad guy and solve the mystery, which was the most basic "who done it" story ever and this was supposed to be the extent of the whole "detective" focus Reeves talked about and I was just thinking "man, Reeves is so full of shit" and then when it came to fighting criminals, he basically looked like a moron who forgot that he trained for decades and only won because the plot demanded it. Just atrocious fighting choreography overall. The rest is pretty vague, but I just remember thinking: "is this what we waited 3-4 years for? THIS piece of shit??". It was so irredeemably trash that I'd rather watch BvS or JL a thousand times instead of that movie. It wasn't even "so bad it's good" in a Batman & Robin kind of way. I couldn't believe it.
Thank the Lord I woke up though. It was the worst nightmare I've ever had in my life.

My worst nightmare was Cpt. Marvel losing his title to a much worse character, then nobody watched the imposter's movie and the star vaguely blamed "men" for it being a bad film and now, Marvel is trying to promote her as their flagship character despite her being extremely unlikeable and a mediocre actress at best.

  Batman Begins is very underrated. And, Biggest issue here is that WB gave Matt too much power cause they were desperate at that time.
  I feel like his movie will be a perfect Batman movie but it might end up being more like a video game failing to connect with audience.

  I honestly doubt either of those options (personally Batman Begins is my absolute favorite Batman movie, and it's pretty damn close to perfect to me... but I doubt anything could ever top TDK for most other people) but it won't be a mess either. Reeves has yet to make a bad film. I have faith in his abilities so even at worst, it will probably still be okay. I do think it has a chance of becoming "one of" the best Batman movie. But again, Nolan + Bale (particularly Begins for me) is just too hard to beat. I don't see it happening.

    Begins can be beaten by having a Bruce that leans into his intellectual side, and leaning into the fantasy aspects of ghe DCU.
    When Lucious explains about fear toxin to Bruce and he says "am I supposed to know what any of that means?" The answer is yes.
    Show him as a detective too. Begins all but eliminated the detevtive sspect, they even reduced Ducard to an alias.
    I would not be surprised if Reeves can beat Begins and give us the film we have been waiting for.

      I'm not saying BB is perfect... There are many issues I have with it (some of the dialogue, editing, or how he basically caused the deaths of countless League members despite his lectures of "not taking any life"). But it IS the only Batman movie that delved into his psyche and addressed WHY Bruce Wayne actually becomes Batman. And not just the "my parents were killed" plot, but actually answer why he chose the Bat persona and why he chose to fight crime this way. BB is the best "Batman" movie, and it's honestly too hard to imagine Reeves can beat it. Sure, there wasn't a detective element, but BB didn't need that. It wouldn't have made the movie better if they touched on it. And in terms of the fantasy aspects, I'm glad they stayed far away from that with those movies.

      Yeah i love how the film has a credible reason in a "real world" context as to why Bruce would dress up as a Bat and call himself Batman, when Bruce explains why he chose a Bat persona it actually makes a ton of sense.

      It's one of the biggest issues I have with MoS. There is actually no reason given as to why he dons the Superman suit. Hell, there's no reason given why he suddenly becomes a hero. We never find out what drives Clark, we just see random flashbacks that show he had a rough childhood. Then he meets his space-dad and decides to become the symbol of hope just because his dad told him so? That's taking away from Clark's agency. Heck, it's not just MoS, it's BvS as well... Superman always does what others tell him to do. It's why he feels so underdeveloped and "weak" as a character. This is what they nailed with BB. They really explained the why and how behind Batman. It's why it's my favorite Batman movie.

      Yeah its a weird one for me when it comes to my favourite Batman film, Begins is the best Batman film about Batman i feel but The Dark Knight is my favourite film.
      I think a big problem with MoS is leaving his childhood and soul searching to flashbacks, it worked with Begins because Nolan would spend a great deal of time in those flashbacks and not only that but the flashbacks were usually Bruce remembering and telling the events of what happened so they have disagree of purpose, he's telling Ra's his story and with that Ra's can offer his opinion and advice. With MoS the flashbacks are just there and because they're so quick we never get time to really dig deep into a young Clark or grow to understand and care about Jonathan, the film tells you Clark has been saving people but we never see it beyond the Oil Rig, seeing him wrestle with him wanting to hide who he is but wanting to save people would have done a lot for him and maybe give more weight to the flashbacks.

      I agree with a lot of why you like Begins despite the issues, I strongly diagree that it is hard to believe Reeves can beat it. He is a very competent film maker (not just because of Apes) and has a fondness for the source material. I think he can take everything that was good about Begins, incorporate it and add what we as fans felt was missing.
      As for the fantasy aspects, they don't have to delve too far into it, but I think things like lazarus pits should be portrayed. Batman venturing into the lair of Ra's and finding the pit is something I would love to see in live actions.

      I believe Reeves does care a lot but at the same time he clearly doesn't give a rat's fuck about how his actors look. I'm sorry but Batman's physique is as much part of the character as his brain and Reeves/Robert have already proved that they have ZERO interest in honoring that aspect of the character, which imo, is a pretty big deal. Rob just had a photoshoot last week and he looked incredibly skinny. He also literally said 2 months ago that he hadn't started training yet, like wtf. So even if he adds certain things, he's already taken away others...

      For me, Bale's physique is the minimum, but yea we'll see. I still think the movie's gonna be very good regardless. It's just that Robert has a naturally "boy-ish" face/ body and his physique (or lack thereof) certainly doesn't help. He'd be much more mature looking and imposing if he was actually big.

  Reeves has never made a bad film or even decent film, all of his films are good or great. Rise was a good film yes but it was Reeves Dawn and War what really cemented the Ape trilogy as one of the best trilogies out there.
