The Batman: New set photos give possible first look at Robert Pattinson

It has been a busy day in London on the set of The Batman. First, we had more GCPD action, and now it appears we may have our first spotting of Robert Pattinson.

Before we get to the photos, we offer the usual caveats of making sure you take a healthy dose of salt with these images. Everyone is guessing it is Pattinson in these photos, but we simply can't be sure. But these were taken on set, and it was happening near where all of the GCPD filming was taking place.

Does it look like Robert Pattinson? A bit, but we simply can't be sure of it at this point. Considering the amount of attention being given to this person on a motorcycle, it is most definitely not just some random cast member.

It's unclear how much more outdoor shooting will be taking place on The Batman, so enjoy it while it lasts.

The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.

    It was just nonsense to me.
    Reducing the time it took to be Batman from 11 years to 4 is silly, as it basically allows that anyone could go of and be Batman instead of getting an undergrad.
    The take on the Red Hoods was also stupid IMO and conflicts with TKJ, tying Riddler in to Bruce's family was stupid, the holgraph ball was stupid...it was all ugh.
    And the reason it was all ugh is because Snyder is motivated by leaving his mark on the comics, rather than just telling a good story. You see it with the Owls, and you see it with all the perpetua nonsense going on in JL at the moment.

      Yeah, I never liked the idea that Batman only had to train for a couple of years. Takes away from the "uniqueness" of him... granted, the Batman timeline has always been fucked. We used to be told he trained for a decade or so, was solo for years, adopted Dick when he was 8 or so and trained him to be Robin who then turned into Nightwing a decade later, then trained another boy for years, then another, then another (who's also his kid, but apparently had accelerated growth... or something) all the while training Batgirl, fighting off dozens of supervillains, ALL before he turned 40... like yeah, given Batman's life experience, he should be at least 55 or something by the time Damian comes around, if not older.

      It is hard to fit all those Robin's in to him being in his 40s...he adopted Dick in Year 2 IIRC...how old was dick, maybe 10? How long was he Robin for? Batman became Batman at 25, so at 26 adopted Dick, maybe he was Robin from 12 - 18, 6 years, becomes Nightwing when Bruce is 32.., Jason Todd didn't last long but was Robin for maybe a year or two..., Tim came short after, so batman should be around 25 when he has Tim...leads to him getting Damian back when he is about 40 or just over..
      It is messed up but it kind of works. What didn't work was trying to make all the robins a year or two apart in age like they tried to do in the N52.

      Not sure, I always kind of assumed Dick was 8 when his family died, to mirror Bruce's own experience. He could be a bit older, sure but that doesn't change the argument that Batman does too much, in too little time.
      Also, if Dick's 10 when he's adopted (during Batman's 2nd year, meaning he's 27 + 2 years of training + 6 years of being Robin), doesn't that mean Batman is 35 by the time Dick becomes Nightwing? Jason indeed didn't last that long, but it took Bruce a while to go from Dick to Jason (2 years... let's say for argument's sake AT LEAST a year) but he was also "adopted" as a kid, yet died as a young adult (at least 17 or so), so that's another 5 (+1 year of break between Robins) years, easily (and that's not even including training years), meaning Batman's 41 (and I'm being very generous here, considering these events/training/age of the Robins, I reckon Batman should already be closer to 45)... Then Tim, who came around shortly (almost immediately, if I'm not mistaken) basically did most of the "detective" work himself, so let's just assume he had 2 years of training+ 2 years of being Robin before Damian showed up. That would make Batman at least 45 (realistically speaking, 50 or more). Damian could've been born at any time during Batman's career, so his existence isn't really an issue. It's predicated only on Talia raping Bruce, lol.
      I know they explained he had "accelerated" growth in the comics, but I always found that dumb and unnecessary. Anyways, Damian comes in, Batman is 45 (minimum) and then they have their adventures for a couple of years. Meaning Batman's close to 50 (realistically, 55) once his "main" timeline is complete, yet the comics would have us believe he's 40-ish at most at that time. I don't think it works at all. That's 10 to 15 years they've just made up for the sake of his career.

      Where re you getting that Bruce was 8 when his parents died? I thought it was 10, mentioned in Y1? Like you, I like the idea of Dick being the same age to mirror Bruce's tragedy, whether it be 8 or 10.
      I'm counting Batman to start at age 25, since he is 25 when he puts on the costume and first makes an appearance at the Mob dinner, so 26 when he adopts Dick.., but these are minor points of pedantry. I can't be bothered to look up the actual comics to see if they mention it. You're right though, my math was off, he would be 35 or 34.
      I was thinking Bruce would be closer to 45 when Damian shows up as well to be honest, which makes sense and isn't much of a stretch considering the shape Bruce is in (as well as various mystical ways he may have healed / slowed aging.
      But then Damian was not around for long before the N52 hit and tried to cram everything in.
      I do think it can work, or at least, we can take the events, characters and ages and come up with a way to make it all work, although it may not be entirely supported by the source material.
      I think having Bruce be having a younger body than his physical age is the simplest explanation, and it would kind of work well as part of his cover, except they always show Bruce Wayne as being a youthful playboy even at the end of his middle age years...

      I know, and I consider that training he did beforehand critical to his origin and character. It shows he didn't just decide to "become" Batman at 18 years old. It shows that Batman was born, at the exact moment Bruce "died" with his parents. That's when he knew, even as a little kid, that he would do everything in his power to make sure no one would ever experience what he had to go through.
      But regardless of that, Batman still does too much, encounters too many people, to actually believe he's still a relatively young man by the time Damian shows up.

      The problem is DC characters just don't really age once they hit that later 30's mark, its why prior to N52 The Flash actually felt somewhat unique as characters aged and mantles were passed down.

      Before TKJ The Red Hood was petty criminal who liked to torment Batman with his crimes and play cat and mouse with him, Bruce was never able to find out who he is until Joker revealed himself as The Red Hood in the story all of this, very different to what TKJ suggested.
      N52 erased or altered pretty much everything pre-Flashpoint, the events of TKJ still happened but most likely only as far as Babs being shot and wheel-chaired, Zero Year became the new Origin and ignored what TKJ done because the "origin" in TKJ is just one of many and was never the one true one.
      Jesus for someone who claims to read this stuff you're pretty dense, maybe stop going on wiki pages for this stuff.

      N52 did not completely invalidate all post-crisis stuff, and specifically TKJ was canon in the N52 because we saw flashbacks to Joker in his Hawaiian shirt and Barbara being crippled by him. It was explicitly canon still.
      So no, you dense motherfucker, man behind the red hook does not conflict with TKJ in any way because it was invalidated and non-canon by the time TKJ was canon, as where Zero Year was N52 which still explicitly had TKJ as canon.

      TKJ's origin stopped being relevant as soon as Zero Year happened, the only part of TKJ what remained canon was Babs being shot.       The origin in TKJ being real simply makes sense given how the book is structured and the story presented to us.
      It would be hard to get a quote from any of those names saying a certain origin is necessarily real unless someone specifically asked them the question.
      There is also no quotes from them saying it isn't real. Given it being real makes sense, unless it is irrefutably said to be false, I will continue to accept it as genuine. Feel free to have a different opinion. It won't hurt me, I promise.

    I have a slight beef with Snyder and his fans, but nothing compares to the insufurability of comicbookmovie and its users. They're like those evil demon armies from LOTR. Every MCU movie is the best, every DC movie is the worst. Not just that, they antagonize their fellow Marvel fans too. If you're a comic book fan who doesn't like how MCU handles comics, you get banned. If you don't align with progressive liberal views of hack critics like MovieBob, you get banned. That site banned 100 people just for writing disagreement over Black Panther's Oscar nominations. Those people were MCU fans; not even the oddballs.

You risk that in the world we’re living in now just by coming to a site like this. Honestly if you don’t want anything spoiled you have to avoid movie reporting sites altogether because even accidentally you’ll see big spoilers throughout the filming.
