As filming on Matt Reeves' The Batman will reportedly begin in two weeks, new details are beginning to emerge. The detail that the vast majority of people are waiting on is what Robert Pattinson's Batsuit will look like, and we may have a new idea.

Former Variety reporter Kris Tapley posted a tweet on Tuesday - since deleted - that gave some clues to Pattinson's Batsuit. He stated that they would resemble Lee Bermejo's designs. Fans did some digging and found fan art Bermejo posted of Pattinson in his Batman Nöel suit, and it appears this may be what we can expect.

Other:This a picture from Lee Bermejo's Instagram story from back in September of fan art of Pattison in a batsuit resembling his style. The rumor is that the new suit will take inspiration from Lee Bermejo's design.

Bermejo tends to favor a more utilitarian look to his Batsuits. A lot of mesh inserts, everything fastened with buckles and so on. He also tends to favor a shorter ear profile for the cowl.

Again, we want to stress this is based off of one report in a now-deleted tweet. We would take it with a definite grain of salt for the time being. From what little we've heard up until now about the design aesthetic, it does seem to match up.

We're still not sure when the official unveiling of the latest Batsuit will happen, but we're definitely eager to see it.

The Batman will hit theaters on June 25, 2021.

1. I can't believe that they r only 2 weeks away from shooting.
2. What happened to that blue batsuit rumor, I think a blue one would be real nice, a dark blue one not a light one.
3. Is this suit going to look that much different from Batflecks suit, cuz the Noel suit has a slight resemblance to Batflecks TDKR inspired suit.

  From what I understand it' will take elements from Noel but not look exactly like it. It seems like it'll look like it in terms of practicality but things like the Bat symbol, ear length, colors, etc. might be different. I do believe that we'll get our first official look within the next 2 weeks as it won't make since for WB to have our first look be a leaked set image. Remember how bad that was for Shazam ?

        Batfleck looked good with muscle, Shazam looked bad. As long as if it doesnt stick out like Shazam's. Robert's not as big as Affleck 2 so if there r paddings, they need to make it look natural and not fake.

        Shazam's padding was cheesy on purpose considering the tone of that film and the character's comic origins in the first place. As much as I didn't care for BvS, I will say I enjoyed what Affleck did as Batman and that suit was pretty damn good. That warehouse scene alone was hands down one of the best fight scenes for Batman in live action ever. They finally got it right with that one minus him killing people.

I'd be fine with the white eyes, but I hope they cover the bottom of his nose. It's always looked weird to me without that part.

  Also, practically speaking, covering the bottom of the nose hides distinctive features more and can allow the cowl to serve as a gas mask or whatever

A reddit user who leaked this info a month earlier shares info about Zoe Kravitz Catwoman suit.
"It looks a lot like this
Her goggles are up in the concept art, and her hair peaks out a little bit.
She has a cool bag that she carries across her shoulder, it looks like the one she has in the Telltale video game.
Oh, I almost forgot, you guys may or may not get an official look at the Batsuit (and maybe possibly maybe slightly very possibly a bit more than that) very very soon..."

I honestly just want the white eyes. Batman SHOULD have white eyes, they are more important for him than many other characters, especially when trying to scare criminals and appear more than human.
No silly blue costume also sounds promising.

      Really? Because that was one of the highlights of Keatons portrayal of Batman. No other actor has matched the intensity of his eyes even if Bale was a better Bruce Wayne in better movies.

    2. He can still show emotion without eyes, look at V in V for vendetta, Fassbender in Frank, Deadpool, etc
    It's not a barrier to warrant not having white eyes.

  As far as artwork and cartoons, the white eyes always looked better than the pupils which is why it was done to begin with. In movies, it's different and not really necessary.... but to me, the argument can be made that not only from a basis of Batman's fear tactics but also from the standpoint of security and protection for himself, that some kind of concealing lens for his eyes can be built into the cowl as long as it looks good. If it's too large or comes off looking awkward, then scrap the notion. But I'm down to try it.
  Too bad Bruce can't slip on white contacts whenever he dons the cape and cowl. :) Just not practical to go that route. I suppose the CGI route could be done as well but I'd really have to see a sample of how it's used on-screen and in live-action before I trust it to be added to Batman in every scene.

      I get that reference but there's a slight difference between DP's mask and the Batman cowl where the eyes are a bit more sunken in and will need to be tested to see if they can pull it off correctly. I'm good with or without it, but it'd be cool to have if it looks good.

      Yeah, that was a little bigger so it worked on the armor. The normal Batsuit will be a little different. But it might work. I'll be good either way personally.

    I get why they had it originally, the same as for a lot other characters, but I think for Batman in particular it makes sense in universe for him to have white eyes.
    Deaadpools has shown you can have white eyes that can shift like the cartoon eyes do. No reason we can't have it look good with mdoern tech.

I usually try to hold my tongue when it comes to reacting to rumors. But while I enjoy Bermejo's books, I'm not the biggest fan of his Bat-suit. Looks ok in this stories. But as an old fart, the rumors (again, I acknowledge these are "rumors" too) about The Batman possibly going blue and gray have me really open to an old school vibe that would invariably be meshed with modern-day tactical reality...WHICH I concede may still include inspiration from Bermejo's Bat-suit. We'll find out soon enough. I supposed to avoid any potential disappointment, I should tamp down ANY expectations. LOL

I really don't have my hopes up for this Batman movie. I do not like the chosen cast. I believe it was selected more towards filling seats than towards the actual " Batman Fans" out there. Pattinson will have to use some kind of padding because he does not have the built for Batman. We will see a big difference between Bruce Wayne and Batman. But is my point of view.

  I'll give it a chance. Remember how everyone was up in arms when Affleck was cast as Batman and he ended up being one of the best things about BvS along with Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman? Also, remember when people flipped out when Keaton was cast as Batman and his portrayal is still held in pretty high regard to this day? I wouldn't judge until we see the final product. Pattinson could do a really good job with his take.

Let's quit with this trend of short little ears for Batman. He's BATman. The entire point is to evoke the dark creature of the night thing. Besides that I'm hoping for something not overly paneled, buckled, bulky, busy or super utilitarian looking. Somewhat more in the Keaton 89 direction I suppose.

  The only ears that have ever actually successfully looked like bat ears, as opposed to just horns - and this is in ANY iteration of the character I can recollect - is the standard suit’s cowl from the live action JL movie. They look like the classic, iconic horns from the front, a nice mid-length, if I remember right, but are wide like actual bat ears from the sides. Best Batsuit.

Say what you want, but Zoe looks EXACTLY like Catwoman. Robert also has the "superhero jawline", so when he's wearing the cowl, he'll probably look pretty good.
