   BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE:
   How fucking weird, stupid and hilarious was that gargoyle scene?!?! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL I could go on forever on the randomness of it.

   Now...I mean, what can we say at this point?
   The episode was not bad as a stand alone episode. But given how far into the season is, I couldn't fully enjoy it.
   THE GOOD:
   -Gar transformed for 2 secs! yay (then nay... )
   -Conner is always great, Krypto too.
   -I really like Thwaites as Dick

   THE BAD:
   -The problem with this show is that it gives us something really cool, and then it's over before we can actually enjoy it. Example:
   The team is together! No they're not.
   Gar transformed! Now he's asleep
   The old Titans might be part of the team again! No they won't
   We have Robin! Now he's Dick...
   -Rachel ignoring Donna all of a sudden is WTF
   -The COMPLETELY forgot Gar turned into a snake at this point, clearly.
   -Ala Azul mean Blue Wing so that'll be awkward

      The Ala Azul thing actually worked well for me. Its kind of an updated version of Nightwing being inspired by Kryptonian deities.

         I didn't mind the story and the reasoning behind it. Jus saying Ala Azul means Blue Wing, not Night-Wing

            Well he is a blue. But I think the "night" comes from the line about the deity showing up to save them in the night. If I remember correctly they almost pretty much say night wing.

         I was told a story about a sroty from Corto Maltese that there is a warrior or something called Ala Azul which is where he will get his name but I dunno how they will go from Ala Azul to Nightwing

            Ok the line is "a bird that comes in the night and saves people." That's what Dick says in response to Luis saying Alazul would fly down and save them.
            That's where the Night Wing comes from.
            Also apparently it's Alazul not Ala Azul.

               the origin of the name was fit with the ongoing story.
               Dick trying to stop helping people, but the prison scene make him realize it's always his nature. Which will back and help his friends again.

               I thought they are all going to die and Alazul inspire Dick to use his new identity as Nightwing.

            Well I guess the comic version of Superman's Nightwing & Flamebird inspiring Dick to call himself Nightwing is out the door. Is this some sort of multiverse version of the Titans?

               That origin was always kinda dumb anyway. And not everything has to be a direct page to screen adaptation of the comics. Besides, people would complain if Superman just randomly showed up out of nowhere to give Dick a new moniker.

   Ok this episode was actually super solid. Pretty much perfect as its own thing. Too bad its bogged down by weird choices in other episodes. Had me captivated the whole way through and somehow made the prison storyline work. Editing was actually good this episode too.

   And how badass was Dick throwing keys like fucking shurikens? lol

   Only complaint is that this whole Gar, Connor, Cadmus storyline should've been the only side plot too and should've started earlier in the season. Its actually interesting unlike the rest of the Titans stories.

   This was probably the only episode that didn't really do it for me so far. The Nightwing nod was cool, and unlike Arrow (a show I generally like) Titans had an interesting prison storyline but it's strange that they're still adding new elements to the story (like Raven's new "friends") this late in the game. Nevertheless, I'm interested to see how this season will resolve because of how things stand right now. It's interesting how it's pretty non-traditional in the fact that it wasn't the team necessarily building up to a final confrontation with Deathstroke. It could still happen, but I'm not sure.

         I guess Bruce in this universe doesn't pay attention to anything, Dick pleads guilty for a 7 year sentence and a no show from Bruce. cold blooded Bruce

   Honestly Dick Grayson and Deathstroke are the only reasons I stick with this show. Maybe a little bit because of Krypto because I’m a sucker for doggies 🐶

   I really wish they would just fire all the writers and hire new ones. It doesn't seem like they have any idea what they want to do. The story is all over the place with no focus and all the characters get such a small amount of screen time that nothing progresses, especially because they have had an absurd number of full on flashback episodes. This season would make a lot more sense if it was Season 1 but they seem to have forgotten Season 1 already happened. Additionally the dialogue is just terrible most of the time, and even when it is not the plot is contrived and convoluted in ways that are so unnecessary. It seems like they think swearing, nudity, blood and violence are a substitute for a coherent story.

   That being said I really like the actors takes on the characters for the most part; with the main exception of how Starfire is written because she doesn't act or speak anything like any version I have ever seen and loved from TV or DC Animated Movies. The directing and style seem to be pretty on point, the only people who don't seem to be pulling their weight are the writers and that is a shame.

   Reading the comments on the Titans threads, I realize how frustrating it is to deal with this Marvel generation that cannot appreciate anything but linear, straightforward plots with plenty of mindless, but well choreographed action.

   Season 2 has been great so far, especially the background flashbacks, and I think the writers have the team exactly where it should be at this point in a multiseason story line.

      Its got nothing to do with the "Marvel generation" its about liking good TV, quality acting and good writing something what Titans lacks. Doom Patrol is fucking amazing and i would say my favourite comic book show, it had great writing, fantastic characters with some pretty great performances to go with them and it knew exactly what it was and what it was doing, Doom Patrol though is meant to be the C-List to Titans A-List yet Titans has worse production values, worse acting and writing what gives the worst of the CW stuff a run for its money.

      Frankly if this wasn't a streaming show and was a Starz or FX show it would have been canned in S1 as i bet viewings would drop like flies.

         don't you know, you're only allowed to watch DC or Marvel and nothing else. you cant watch anything outside of the comic book genre. Love how DC or Marvel fan boys act as shows like breaking bad, GoT, etc. (so many other to list) don't exist. Those shows are the standard for intelligent writing, not this, Titans has a handful of good episode but a lot of misses. Doom Patrol and Swamp Thing are miles better.

         I feel bad for the actors, cause i think they have been doing a great job with their characters (i cant wait to see Dick become nightwing and fight deathstroke) but they suffer to bad story witting and pacing

This show get criticized because of this show's own shortcoming, nothing to do with Marvel. There are reasons why people don't have much problem with the other two shows, despite how different they are with marvel. You fanboys are the worst

   I have to ask, didn't this season have enough subplots without them adding Rachel being out on the streets being Venom or something?!

   It's one thing when she was dealing with this stuff while still being with the team, but now they introduced a whole group of new characters for her to play around with.

   So do Batman and Superman just not care, are they really not keeping tabs on the titans?? Dick in prison but a no show from Bruce. Conner is publicly spotted using his powers and all over the news but not one peep from the JL. I get that they trying to focus on the Titans but seems a bit much for not having the two big guns at least make a phone call
