Len Wiseman shares new behind the scenes video of Swamp Thing

March 2, 2019

Things have been a bit quiet on the Swamp Thing front. Perhaps there's something to be said for filming in a swamp to keep the prying eyes away.

Thanks to Len Wiseman, however, we have a new short video that at least tells us production is still ongoing. There is absolutely nothing to see in this video other than a crew member walking through the swamp.

The last time we saw anything from the set, it involved Wiseman taking crew member on a very odd gondola ride, so he does appear to enjoy swamp pictures. And before that it was the only official image so far of Crystal Reed (Abby Arcane) and Andy Bean (Alec Holland).

Hopefully we can see a shot of Swamp Thing himself in the not too distant future.

A leaked set of dates indicated that Swamp Thing will be premiering on DC Universe on May 10, 2019. That date is not yet official, but does seem likely.

After Titans i lost a lot of interest in these shows but then The Doom Patrol happened, hopefully Swamp Thing is more Doom Patrol then Titans when it comes to quality and greatness.

The reviews and reception to it say otherwise, already The Doom Patrol is considered the far better show.

This one is at the top of my must-see list!
I’m still crossing my fingers for Swamp Thing himself to be a practical suit with CGI powers, as opposed to a mo-cap character. I’m very excited, regardless.

I'm less interested in the genre but it will be interesting to see if they can properly do a supernatural horror type show.

Titans was good. Doom patrol is even better... I think this one is going to be awesome!

I am hoping this is a gateway into the Justice League Dark. If they are not going to do DCEU 'team-up' movies, then at least DC Streaming could give us a proper Constantine, Deadman, Zatanna and The Phantom Stranger.

I had a few Swamp Thing comics when I was a kid, and I loved how surreal and closer to horror they were. Crossing my fingers that they at least show a bit of that in the show.
