As we continue waiting for a second trailer, we have a new image from Shazam! Zachary Levi is lighting up a winter carnival, likely preparing for battle with Doctor Sivana (Mark Strong).
The still was released by Empire. The latest issue of the magazine hits newsstands on Thursday and will feature set interviews and new images from the film.
Here's hoping we also get moving images from Shazam! in the very near future.

Still waiting on that last Shazam trailer. I have a feeling they'll wait until Cpt. Marvel opens to release it to steal their thunder, pun intended!

No one apart from comic book nerds knows the history surrounding the "Captain Marvel" name with DC and Marvel so no one will care or even notice, Captain Marvel will most likely do better then Shazam as well. Right now i predict WW numbers for Captain Marvel at best and between 700m-800m numbers at worst. Shazam i predict 650m-750m at best and 600m-700m at worst. I could be dead wrong of course but that's my prediction.
The general public don't know Marvel's Cpt Marvel either. With the peculiar advertising of punching an old woman and taking itself too seriously, I think it won't do well. A comedy like Shazam might do better.
Thing is the public don't need to know who Captain Marvel is because its a Marvel film, the Marvel Studios name alone is a major selling point and it also has Sam Jackson back as Fury so its not like its all unknown characters. That said the GA didn't know the Guardians and now all 4 of them are A-List Marvel characters, between the heavy marketing and it being a big Marvel film it will do really well unless something unexpected happens.
I also think Shazam will do fine as well but they need to step up the marketing.

Before it opened in China i was expecting around 700m-750m at best and around a JL type flop at worst. Once it become big in China and after i saw it i started to think it could top a billion.

Back to my original statement, WB haven't taken any shots.
The past of Warner? Creating then dominating the superhero movie genre for most of 4 decades.
With what? Two awesome Superman films and 2 god awful films what sunk the franchise, two awesome Batman films, 1 ok film and 1 god awful film what sunk the franchise. In 2000's all they had was Nolan and that's it, Superman Returns flopped and they scrapped the one film what could have gave them a massive headstart in JL Mortal. Then there's GL what was shit and flopped, MoS was under-performed and was diverse, BvS was was shit and under-performed and making WB only over just 100m profit. Really their first big hit money wise since Rises was SS what was shit and so shit that its taking ages for a sequel what instead won't happen with James Gunn doing a re-imagining what might contain Robbie and might not we don't know. WW though was the first big hit money and critically since Rises but then JL happened enough said. Thankfully they bounced back with Aquaman. saying they dominated as i've just proved is laughable.
Also in fact if you do your history you will see WB planned more films then they actually made and were obsessed with toy sales, god the troubled production of Superman Lives and its many many forms even got turned into a rather good doc film. Even before Nolan and Superman Returns they had countless planned Batman and Superman films. Then you have JL Mortal, that rather awesome sounding Green Arrow Super Max film, Whedon's Wonder Woman and that's just at op of my head.
Marvel has far surpassed DC, Jelly beans. Especially the DCEU. They have the biggest franchise in movie history.
If they said that, the general audience would be confused why Shazam is calling himself the name of that one Marvel lady, and also might think they’re sexist for trying to directly target one of the only female superhero films out there. That would go very poorly for him. We can all just forget them ever calling the character Captain Marvel again.
Remember when people were bitching about the suit? I said all along it would look good in promo pics and in the film.
It still looks a bit wonky though. That bicep looks way too long.

So people can draw their own conclusions. I pesonally don't have anything against the suit. It's not the greatest thing ever made, but I don't think it's that bad either

I am genuinely more hyped for this movie, than i honestly, ever thought I could be. Cannot wait for the 2nd trailer to drop. The kids are excited to see it as well.
