on LEGO Batman Movie 2 Looks to be a Go

It seems that we finally have confirmation that LEGO Batman Movie 2 is happening, we just don't know when yet.

A user tweeted to Chris McKay about how much they enjoyed The LEGO Batman Movie and wanted to know when another was on the way. McKay obliged by saying, "We are working on that [right now] actually! In the meantime, LEGO Batman is all over LEGO 2 coming in February."

While this is short on details, it is the closest to an official confirmation that we've seen yet. Having served as the director on the first one, he is certainly in a position to know the status of the second one.

We imagine once LEGO Movie 2 is out in the world we'll hear more talk on when this film will be reaching audiences.

The first one was hilarious, so I’d love to see this happen.

These Lego movies got old real fast.

    First one-470m
    Second-310m
    Third-120m
After these numbers, why are they going ahead with another? And BTW, none of the films are really that good, and from an animation standpoint, hard to watch.

If Spiderverse movie garners lots of attention, then i would love for WB to consider a 2 part animated big budget Kingdom Come film. Right outta left field.

That Nightwing movie def happening, uh? lol Fucking DC and it's directors should just shut the fuck up till they actually have signed contracts, casted actors and started production. Anybody keeping count how many projects they've said they were doing and then they didn't?

To be fare, nobody said these movies are definitely happening. They're in development.

Whatever they wanna call it. Just don;t say you'll make a movie and then not do it or do it 10 years down the line, that's just a dick move. They don't have to tell us what they're working on, that's my point. If they want to it's because it's happening and want to get their fans pumped, which is not working at the moment.

I bet the titans show is what put the Nightwing movie on hold, seems like they will introduce Nightwing in that show instead and then maybe a movie

I'm sure you're right. Which I don;t mind at all tbh. As long as we have a live action Nightwing, I'm happy. I'm just tired of them announcing movies and then not going through

When did Chris McKay rejoin Twitter?😂 I don't trust that dude at all. I didn't like how he strung people along, with the Nightwing movie. He got fans' hopes up, for nothing. It was a total "Dick" move by him.😊 If they do another LEGO Batman movie, hopefully Catwoman is given actual dialogue in it.😾

Great! Does this mean we can get Ventriloquist, Baby Doll, Hush, Mad Hatter, Cluemaster, Professor Pyg, Black Mask, Prometheus, Owlman, Talon, Ra’s al Ghul, Solomon Grundy, Trogg, Zombie, Bird, Calendar Girl, Vulture, Fox, Shark, Great White Shark, Tweedle-Dee, Tweedle-Dum, Blockbuster, Klarion, Film Freak, Roxy Rocket, Phantasm, Reaper, Bookworm, Zelda the Great, the Black Widow (not THAT one), Marsha the Queen of Diamonds, Shame, AND the Rainbow Creature in it?
