on Jason Momoa Goes Full Aquaman in Times Square; Cast and Director Surprise Fans at IMAX Screening

Some very fortunate fans in New York got to see Aquaman early last night at an IMAX screening. Their luck got even better before the film started, as it was introduced by director James Wan and stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, and Patrick Wilson!

On his way into the theater, Jason Momoa grabbed a trident and took to Times Square. As you can see in the video above, he went full Aquaman in front of fans and other bystanders. Some may not have known who he was, but they will in a few weeks!

    Gonna put tickets for this in my kids Xmas stockings as a surprise for them. Looking forward to seeing it myself on the big screen

    A little off topic now but does anyone here think a petition to WB, to green light another Superman movie, would gain any traction???

    As much as i would like Cavill to get a shot at MoS2, if the price of getting another Superman movie, is him being recast. Id accept it. If they can make a successful movie about Aquaman, surely to God, they can get a Superman movie right this time.

      No, a petition won't work unless you're willing to fork over $150mil for them to make it. It's a financial strategy on WB's part at this time. They're not going to spend $500mil to make $800mill.

        A Superman film done right, in my opinion, could easily cross the 1billion mark at BO. If the film was critically acclaimed and had strong positive word of mouth by the general audience, it could be a juggernaut at BO. I really do believe that.

            They could make a fantastic Superman film, with a brilliant story and amazing set pieces for around 300million, if they had the right director. A film like that would easily make between 800-1billion, so it would be a solid investment. If the film was really good, people would turn up to see it, its just the last two major Superman films, have been divisive. Yet they still made money, imagine what an undivisive, critically acclaimed Superman film would make.

            WB didn't make that much with MoS. Be aware that they only get like 50%-60% of the Box office. The rest go to the theatres.

            If they cant make a decent film with a budget of 200-300 million, there is something seriously wrong. Also if making 700-800 million back, is considered underperforming, well then i dont no what to say.

            Do the math for MoS. $225mil production + $80 mill advertising = $305. $668mil box office, which WB only get $360mil. Yeah, a whopping $55mil profit. Not good. I'm pretty sure MoS is making money on other media, like DvD & streaming at the moment.

      No. The unfortunate reality right now is it's going to take someone with a lot of influence pushing for the project to get it to happen.

        Maybe your right! Its a real shane though. I really think Superman is a great character and with modern technology, its possible to really make an incredible Superman movie. Something that could do for Superman, what The Dark Knight did for Batman.

            I'd love a solo movie for all the Justice League but the Trinity should definitely get preferential treatment.
