A Famous Voice is Playing a Key Role in Aquaman

A surprising voice has joined the cast of Aquaman. If you're trying to avoid spoilers, stop here. We'll post the information after Black Manta scares away anyone who doesn't want to know.

Despite being the original Mary Poppins , Aquaman is where you will find Julie Andrews lending her voice this holiday season. The iconic actress is lending her voice to Karathen, a mythical sea creature that will be helping Aquaman (Jason Momoa) broker a peace treaty between Atlantis and the land dwellers according to Variety.

It's an odd occurrence as Mary Poppins Returns is hitting theaters in the same month. One would have thought that is where she would appear, but instead she'll be underwater. Fine with us, just another great talent joining Aquaman.

Aquaman will hit theaters in the U.S. on Dec. 21.

For the youngsters who don’t know, Julie Andrews, hands down deservedly won an Oscar for playing Mary Poppins. A fine cast indeed for this film which along with including Nicole Kidman, now marks the first time in either a MCU or DCEU film, that two Best Actress ladies are in the same film.

Great cast but unfortunately they still don't make up for the terrible miscast that was Jason Momoa.

Momoa was great for Lobo with his physicality and bad boy, rocker attitude, not for Aquaman. To make it worse they turned the character into Momoa and not the other way around. Wan actually shaped the script to fit Momoa's personality.

Cheering for the movie, but it feels like a missed opportunity to honor and accurately portray such an iconic character.

I agree with you...And this guy is a great actor, I saw Papillon and he did a great job.
unfortunately since the end of Nolans Directons, Warner has some flaws casting actors to portay super-heros characters and Jason Mamoa is one of them, and we're not talking about Ezra, Jesse... lol

Momoa has a great look, screen presence, and charisma. That's much more important than naturally looking like Aquaman or having 'acting range'. Plus he can always cut his hair and dye it blonde when he becomes King.
