Gotham Crew Teases the Arrival of "Mr. J" in New Image

Consider us properly creeped out. Ari Margolis has tweeted out an image that definitely implies someone is getting a smile put on their face in Gotham.

It's fairly obvious it is Cameron Monaghan in the picture, and the razor blade near the mouth definitely implies a cutting may be on the way. But add in the ending hashtag of "MrJ" certainly seems to remove any question of what's going on in the image.

We now know that Gotham season 5 will premiere on Jan. 3. We also know that it has recently received an expanded episode count for its fifth season from 10 to 12. It sounds like they will need it with Bane coming to town and Jeremiah apparently going full Joker by the end of the season. Add in Bruce making his way towards being Batman and it all adds up to a very busy season that we can't wait to see!

So they’re not allowed to call him Joker or give him all of the identifying features of the Joker, right? I wonder how far they can go while keeping to that...

I find that interesting because Titans outright said The Joker in it and Batman of course, Gotham isn't allowed those names (not 100% sure on Batman) but Titans is, its really bizarre on what show is allowed stuff and isn't allowed stuff. I'm very curious on what Elseworlds will do with Batman considering Bruce Wayne exists in the Arrowverse (referenced in both Arrow and Supergirl) and that we now have Batwoman, my only guess is Batwoman is on a Earth where Batman doesn't exist.

  I can’t even begin to wrap my head around all of their ridiculous rules - what with Deathstroke not being allowed on TV and movies both, yet Flash and Superman can, but Batman apparently can’t, and Joker sort of can and can’t. None of it makes a lick of sense, lol

From what i've seen of the show Cameron Monaghan is actually pretty fucking great, i actually wished he wasn't part of Gotham and was the actual Joker of the DCEU and not Leto

Cameron Monaghan is the main reason I'm watching.
In fact, I wish the entire short season was a Joker arc.
His portrait has been brilliant and sublimely terrifying.

Seems Cameron has brought a lot to this ok show. Seems when he is on, ratings are slightly up. For having their hands tied trying to make him the Joker without the name tag, he has brought it all in. Cameron has taken the best of all screen Jokers and have blended them into his characters version(s). He has shown us Ledger, Nicholson, Romero and even Hamill. I can’t wait to see what he brings this season. He is very twisted and brings the Joker to life on the small screen. He has been a great addition to this show.
