on 'Shazam' will have 3 weeks of reshoots in November

Shazam wrapped production this past May, but the cast and crew will be heading back to Toronto in November.

Production Weekly says that Shazam is scheduled for three weeks of reshoots, from November 1st through the 18th. And of course the big question on everyone's mind: will Henry Cavill's Superman be a part of them?

Last month, it was reported that Cavill and Warner Bros. couldn't come to terms on a deal for that Shazam cameo, and that the door was closed on any future appearances from Cavill's Superman. Of course, Cavill's manager pushed back, giving fans a bit of hope that things weren't 100% finalized yet. Next month's Shazam reshoots will be very telling in regards to Cavill's future as Superman.

    Grace Randolph is saying WW84 will be Flashpoint to reboot the DCEU.
    I'd say no Cavill but maybe WW.

          If we're just going off recent comments, she was right about the Birds of Prey character involvements and how Margot robbie took gavin O'Connor's idea for suicide squad 2...I recommend the wait and see approach.

        I hope this is true. At this point, I don't care how the reboot is done, but using Wonder Woman to Flashpoint the whole DCEU would be a good idea. My question is, when would Diana travel back to the past? It would have to be after the events of the Justice League, right? In JL, they mentioned Dead Trevor. I can't see the Diana's timeline to be WWI > WW 1984 > WWI > WW 1984 > BvS > JL.

        I am not going to give WB money to watch Aquaman and Shazaam, out of protest. I will make the exception for The Batman. However if Wonder Woman 1984 "Flashpoint" does happen, I'll make an exception for that too.

    There's been a few sources teasing pictures of Cavill's superman over the past day or so with apparent great news coming for fans. This is coincidently happening as soon as they announce another 3 weeks of principal photography for Shazam. Hmm. You never know.

    Cavill may be asking for too much money for a cameo. Shazam has a relatively small budget, they may not be able to afford him unfortunately (a Superman cameo could be great given the character's history).

      100% a superman cameo makes so much sense for shazam, would be a missed opportunity. my guess it is the issue with Cavill's contract, like you said, money

    As cool as they were, nothing, apparently, will come of the Luthor and Deathstroke cameos in JL. If there's no Cavill/Superman movie to follow up with, his cameo ultimately would be meaningless in my opinion. And I don't believe WB is willing at this point to go all in on a shared DC film universe anymore. First and foremost, they want to finally realize profitable AND criticism-resistant DC movies. I think they're tired themselves of gimmicking up their past four films without them getting picked over by rabid critics and fans.

    Henry Cavill is filming The Witcher during these reshoots so it's really unlikely it's to add Superman.

    As much as I’d love to see Supes cameo in Shazam I doubt it will happen. But Not because of money or scheduling. I think the main reason Henry Cavills future as Superman is in doubt is because he wants another solo movie and WB doesn’t. So he must have been thinking “what’s the point doing tiny cameos here and there? Just give me another movie of my own.”

    That’s basically it. 😞

    Now re-shoots are good(because of Cavill involvement in them) ? LOL Snyder fans have to know by now that re-shoots are planned into the production schedule for many films nowadays and it is a common thing so they shouldn't use it as an excuse next time.

    Well, I suppose if that Supes shirt the kid is wearing up above is any indication that WB/DC is continuing with Cavill's Superman, then one can still hope, but who knows.

    My gut says the reshoots don't involve Supes or any other superhero showing up... but if anyone shows... I'd want it to be a brief cameo of Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam to make people cheer coming out the theater and hype up his own solo film. The Rock isn't getting any younger. We need to stoke the fires for this Black Adam film and a Shazam cam will do just that.
