on Joaquin Phoenix gets chased by Gotham police in new 'Joker' set video and photos

Joaquin Phoenix filmed new scenes for Joker over the weekend in New York City. Hollywood Pipeline and Just Jared shared set videos and photos that show Phoenix in action.

In the first scene, we see Phoenix as The Joker boarding a train as two Gotham police detectives appear to be chasing after him. Then in another scene we see The Joker leaving the subway station, smoking a cigarette as he casually walks by more policemen who are in pursuit of something or someone.

    I'm excited for this movie but surprised with the end costume. Reminds me more of Romero's Joker than anything. Not a bad thing, just surprised. The change is kind of nice actually.

    These videos just raise questions, but footage looks good and I'm excited for that movie. I'm not one of those "Joker can't have an origin!" dummies.

    I wonder where this is being filmed in NYC, I would be curious to go and check it out.

      i wouldn't mind a personality of Romero's Joker with the intuition and "thinking" of Heath's Joker. If they (directors, writers, actors, etc.) can shrewdly weave together such aspects, i think we'd be in for a hell of a Joker.

You're someone that argued that Year One was not an origin for 2 months despite a plethora of evidence to the contrary, bringing the discussion into a different thread, before conceding it was and then going back on that and trying to change the argument several times.           My only point was that YO was an origin story which it is, which you briefly conceded. Everything else was you trying to distract from the main argument, because you have no integrity. Changing my name has nothing to do with your backpeddling and is just more distraction because you have no idea how to actually debate.

            You did concede it. You said that YO was AN origin story, you didn't mention 'aspect' until later when you tried to go back on what you said.

            What I said about training is irrelevant to the objective fact that YO is an origin story, was commissioned for that purpose and is sold and marketed as such, even if you don't think it should be.

            That's your problem. You don't think it should be an origin story, which is fine, but you try to assert that it isn't, when it's simply a fact that it is.

            You're incredibly intellectually dishonest, and like I said, not worth engaging with.

            Year One is an origin story, and it was proven to be such, you're attempts to reframe the argument so that you have some semblance of a point are irrelevant, aside from showing how disingenuous and dishonest you are.

      Right now in Brooklyn, Dumbo Heights near the Brooklyn Bridge. However, they seem to be all over the city...the first subway scene underground was in the Bronx and this one is actually in Brooklyn, Stillwell Ave above ground station. I know both subway stops. I love movies filmed on actual locations, it gives it a more authentic, realistic feel to it.

      But Batman is probably not even gonna be in this universe, for all we know this film won’t have a sequel no matter how much money it makes. So really, this all doesn’t matter. This isn’t about Batman, and probably will never be.

    If I had to guess, the joker already has a cult following, so these scenes could be well into the movie by then. Def have a feeling we’re gonna see a more menacing lookin joker by the last 20 min or so
