on Jason Momoa shares new 'Aquaman' poster, teases something "exciting" for tomorrow

Aquaman star Jason Momoa just shared a brand new poster on his Instagram account. "A tide is coming," the tagline reads. We also get a tease at Aquaman's classic orange and green suit -- something we've seen in toy form but have yet to see in a trailer or poster.

And speaking of an Aquaman trailer... Momoa teased that "something exciting is coming tomorrow" in his Instagram post about the new poster. New York Comic-Con kicked off today, could we be in store for a new trailer? I think it's certainly possible!

    Fucking ridiculous yellow suit... I prefer a cooler approach.
    Can’t believe WB still don’t get that good movies NEED GOOD STORIES, that’s why the dark knight was the best superhero movie of all time.
    Wonder Woman is not a particularly “light movie” but it was good because of the history coherence.
    I would prefer a deeper story to Aquamans life with some good action bits, not the fake ass battles that marvel does.

        Still ridiculous the way that they develop, no real danger, just iron man. Getting hit a million times by thanos (one of the strongest beings in the universe)and just spitting some blood.
        BvS being the first movie in line was stupid, but the fights in there are EPIC.

      Even I’m warming up to the cheesy suit :P Let’s wait to see it in action

      And I’m not sure where your complaints about the story are coming from, since we don’t know the story yet

        I am asking you serious... having DC one of the coolest comic stories, can you truly believe this travestite( “lets go marvel lololo with our epic heroes) will be a good movie??
        Have you seen manta?, in comic it maybe work the original suit, but in real action it looks like the a cheesy power ranger costume

          I’m actually a pretty harsh stickler for darker, more realistic stories, too. I adored MoS and BvS, for example, where many complained that they were “too dark.” But I think Wonder Woman, for example, had a pretty good balance that I was happy with it and it was also able to please those who weren’t as into the more serious take that I like, too. So as long as this movie can achieve somewhere around that tone, I’m thinking it’ll probably be good. Of course we won’t know anything for sure until we see the movie, though.

          My biggest concerns are not Black Manta - I think he looks practical enough while staying true to the comics, though perhaps slightly cheesy at certain angles. Who I’m really worried about are Mera and the Queen. They have what seem to be the laziest costumes I have ever seen in a movie: actual wetsuits, with glitter. It’s ludicrous. But I’m waiting till I see them in action before I make a final conclusion on that.

          But a lot of stuff looks great. I think the looks we got of Atlantis were really cool, for instance.

          Basically, I have mixed feelings, but I’m hoping an epic story will outweigh any issues I have with the film.

            You are saying true to the comics as if everything will work on screen.
            Not even marvel is completely true to the comics.
            It has to be TRUE to the essence of the character.

            I agree, but I think they did approximately what I’d expect for a live action Black Manta. Perhaps a little toyish, but I think it’ll look fine on screen.

            If you’re talking about something from several articles ago, I’m sure I’ve already forgotten what it is. I don’t usually have the luxury of going back to the same articles for days upon days. Gotta keep moving.

            And if you’re asking me to prove that the sky is blue, it wouldn’t be worth the energy, anyway.

    We just had a trailer like what 2 months ago ? & wouldn’t it be reasonable to drop a trailer late October and Tv spots after that ? & movie comes out in December

      I'm not entirely sure how I feel about him in the classic look without the blonde hair... it just doesn't look right. I'll probably warm up to it eventually.

      Venom is fun but a typical comic movie. nothing unique

      MoS and BvS are masterpieces.

      People will still talk in 10 years about MoS/BvS but Venom will be forgotten.

        People will debate about MoS/BvS as long as superhero movies are around. I'll defend them both, but I know the things that are wrong with them. Venom was efficient story telling, kept the focus on a small cast, terrific villain.
