            Well apparently he was much darker and not kid friendly from what i've read and that was a reason they went with Hamill.

               I remember reading somewhere that Tim basically had the role and got sick or something, and they had to start recording right away. I could be remembering it wrong though.

   Honestly he is the best and most definitive Joker there is, BTAS is one of my favorite TV shows and i watch it constantly and a big part of that is because of him. Watched Mask Of The Phantasm again the other night (still the 2nd best Batman film behind TDK) and damn his Joker laugh at the end when everything goes to shit is just sheer perfection, his laugh is just everything a Joker laugh should be.

      Watching that moment in MotP as a kid, it became crystal clear to me exactly who and what the Joker really was, and that feeling is the heart of what I look for in any Joker adaptation.

      Before that, I just shrugged him off as a gag character, but that moment where he laughs through the fire made it click, and now he's my favorite villain ever. It stayed with me.

      Mark is the man.

      Ledger is better. He brought the Joker to a new level. He made people fear him. Hamill's Joker has aged. The only thing I'd add to Ledger is a few more gimmicks. Joker has to be gimmicky and showmany.

   I (respectfully) don't agree with all of Mark's stances on everything (not that I want to start up any Last Jedi arguments on here ;p), but that will never get in the way of the fact that he is also a gift that keeps on giving, and is just a genuine and passionate person.

   He's given us so much magic over the years, and continues to have magic in his heart as he does so. Every time he's mentioned, tons of people share special memories they've got from growing up with his characters, and I enjoy reading those and remembering how it felt for me. It'll never go away for any of us. :)

   Love and respect the hell out of that man.

      What i love about Hamill is he's a fan like us and loves these characters just as much if not more then us, he's got so much time for fans as well and seems like such a lovely man. I really hope one day i can meet him.

   Too many great Joker parts to choose from. From Mask of the Phantasm to Return of the Joker, from Arkham Asylum to his death in Arkham City and shockingly hilarious return in Arkham Knight...Mark Hamill has done far too much INjustice to the character. Pun intended though I do wish he were in the games. For that reason, I'm sure one can understand the difficulty of choosing one.

   That being said, on top of my head, I can refer to the classic "I am your father" scene but with Joker as Darth Vader. Truly priceless! 😂👍

    My favourite incarnation of the Joker, his voice is so perfect and it still sounds great while Kevin Conroy has gone down in quality in my opinion. I hope he continues voicing Joker even if he is on his death bed.
