'Aquaman' cast to appear on Conan O'Brien's Comic-Con special later this month

As he's done for the past four years, Conan O'Brien will be taking his show Conan to San Diego Comic-Con later this month. According to Entertainment Weekly, the cast of Aquaman will be featured on his final show from the event on Sunday, July 22nd. The actors appearing will be announced at a later date, but I think we can count on stars Jason Momoa and Amber Heard at the very least.

The cast of Suicide Squad appeared on Conan's Comic-Con special in 2016 and brought a lot of hype and energy which helped the movie make $746 million worldwide. Hopefully the cast of Aquaman can bring that same level of excitement.

I’m curious how much this movie will make, I’m not sure if it will make more or less than JL but maybe a little over ? Depending on the reception of the movie but hopefully all goes well and it’s a step in the right direction along with WW84 and SHAZAM!

      Any spectacle is a big hit there. Say what you want but an underwater movie has never been done, maybe Finding Nemo is closest.

  If they move it to a less crowded slot, then i think your figures could stack up. If it stays put, then i think it will struggle to get really good numbers. I hope I'm wrong and its hugely successful.

I think it'll make about the same as Justice League, maybe a little less. People have to remember it's an Aquaman movie. The general public thinks of him as a big joke and it's not like they all saw Justice League and were blown away. Plus the fact that it's being released in a very crowded December won't do it any favors either.
I think it'll be comparable with Marvel's Ant-Man. That movie got great reviews but wasn't a huge box office hit because people couldn't get past the name.

    i must be the only one who isn't quite getting the hype surrounding the crowded holidays. I guess maybe it mostly has to do with the fact that DC's reputation is poor right now and Aquaman isnt exactly A list. But if not for the stigma with the DCEU, providing the trailers are really impressive, I could easily see Aquaman being the most desired out of the bunch.

      You have Mary Poppins what will be the biggest movie around that time, a Bumblebee film what is now getting hype due to a solid trailer and a new Spider-Man animated film what looks awesome. Even if the reputation was good for DC it would still be stupid to release AM then especially when AM isn't popular and is usually the joke of DC.

      But Aquaman haven't even released a trailer yet. So we don't know if the trailer will be better or worse than the trailers of the other movies. If it is good and is better than the other movies' trailers, then i guess the OTHER movies would have to change their release dates...

      The trailer will be great like every WB trailer but the other films i've said have a better built in audience. Mary Poppins will destroy AM frankly and both Bumbleee and Spider-Man have a larger appeal, AM won't flop like JL but i do expect numbers along the line of Ant Man what i expect WB don't want.

      bumblebee definitely has a bigger stigma than dceu with the shitty bayformers so im not worried about that. the spidey animated film looks dope and will bring in kids though. alita battle angel could do well since its a jim cameron film. and mary poppins 2 opens the following week and we all know that disney films rape the box office.

      well its not just because its a dc movie and im a dc fan. but more so rather that its just a superhero movie. And a unique one at that. I typically would assume that many folks will gravitate towards that as opposed to some the other stuff. Tbf though, i dont think most people saw the thor/jl thing coming. A lot of people really believed JL would be a big winner at the BO( the freaking justice league) and possibly DCEU's first billion dollar movie. A LOT of us did not realize just how soured some people were after BvS and SS and i think many of us also really thought WW would help it out

      u r forgettin that another superhero movie comes out the week b4 with spiderman in it who is insanely popular on his own. and animated films are more aimed at kids so itll have a huge draw assumin they do a good job with the marketin from here to now which they are off to a good start based on the first trailer alone which was dope.
      tldr aquaman needs to move or get raped at the box office

  No offense but you suck at numbers and analysis LOL, Antman had 500M box-office with 100M budget means 500% profit(yes i know not all of it goes to the studio) if only every movie gets this amount of box-office Like BvS : 300M budget *5 = 1.5B LMAO so it was a box-office hit for a 100M budget film. Not every movie has to reach 1B to be a big box-office hit !!!!!

    Ant-man's budget was around 150M. Also you need to acount for the marketing budget which is usually half the budget ( that's why Justice league lost money because of the huge marketing and high budget ).

    Someone does suck at numbers but it is you. The reported budget for Ant-Man is $130 million and in reality it is probably even higher. It also made a lot of its money in China where it matters less for profits, its domestic total is only $180 million, barely over the real budget. That is far from a hit.

      Finally in some sites it is cited the budget was around 105M.

      Not January, it is a dead month for would-be blockbusters ("Fuck you, it's January!"). *If* they move Aquaman, it could take Shazam's spot or after that Warner would have to find a release date in a very busy Summer.
      But hey, maybe it will be finished (and hopefully polished) in time.

The DCEU has a bad image with fans after the "scissorhands" and the media doesn't like this franchise since MoS, always put the bad things on the top. The character is not that popular and the date is not that good too. But WB have a lot of highlights in solo movies and this movie are looking "very good" for now. With a good promo and good reviews, it can do a bit less than JL, what isn't bad. This way, it can help Shazam and WW84 to do a lot more!

Watching that video reminded me that Cara Delevingne is a person. I had forgotten that.

So far as Aquaman goes, at least with the current schedule they'll be able to promote it during the CW Crossover week which will probably be December 2-5 (figuring that it's usually Week 8 of the respective seasons). Last year, Crisis on Earth-X was a couple of weeks after JL premiered and Warner Bros. had already punted; they didn't run any ads for the movie during the shows at all.

  They did pretty well last year with the crossover (did you see it?). Sure, it's not NFL numbers, but they at least ought to try to unite the fanbase, or at least say "Hey, we've got more DC content over here at the theatre!".

Conan O'brien is a great person to host a show about the comic-con. Aquaman will be awesome and has a lot of potential but keep in mind the Aquaman is similar to the Cyborg in the sense that they are not as well known as the Wonder Woman, Superman and Batman. Wherever the cast of Aquaman travels to promote their film, I think it would help if they take everyone they can such as the director James Wan, actors and actress Dolph Lundegren, Yahya Abdul Mateen and Nicole Kidman. Maybe they should have on the spot contests for merchandise and hand out freebies such as Aquaman comics, apparel and action figures.
