on 'The Flash' director hints that it'll be out in 2020 "if all goes well"

The Flash has been in development with multiple directors for years now. Game Night directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are the latest to sign on to the project, and in a tweet today Daley explained when fans can expect to see it in theaters.

A fan on Twitter asked Daley when his next movie will be out, and Daley replied "if all goes well, sometime in 2020". While he didn't specifically mention The Flash, that is expected to be the next movie that he's working on.

Warner Bros. has already announced two dates in 2020 for DC Comics movies, though they didn't say which ones. The first will be out on Valentine's Day, February 14th. My guess is that will be Birds of Prey, which starts shooting early next year. The next will be out in the summer on June 5th. Obviously dates can change, but my guess is that June date will be for The Flash if "all goes well" as Daley hinted at.

      Again, for Superman footage we never got to see :-/ I don't get the point of anything like this until the real movie comes out.

        He's not wearing his costume, so it's a flying test. I think we saw that part (or some of it?) in the movie when Superman dodges and kicks Steppenwolf's butt.

    Retcon Barry into someone what actually feels like Barry, have the villains be The Rogues (Captain Cold, Golden Glider, Mirror Master, Captain Boomerang and Weather Wizard are my picks), set up Thawne for a sequel, give us a couple of Speed feats what rival and surpass the Fox Quicksilver scenes and explore Barry as a character along with Iris and i shell be happy with the film.

      And leave "time-travel" out of it. OK, maybe a hint of it at the end. The Flash 2 should be all about Reverse Flash and Barry time-traveling, fighting him. Then, the 3rd film, Flashpoint, reboot the entire DCEU.

      Personally I think that WB should do the Flash movie like a mystery movie, in which the plot would be Barry investigating the death of some cops caused by Captain Cold. However, as he continues this investigation, he finds out that Captain Cold is not the killer. He was framed by another criminal. So Barry would have to team up with his enemy to defeat the real killer and clean Captain Cold's name.

      That way, the movie not only would showcase Barry as a forensic scientist, but also as a likable hero, who always tries to do the right thing and helps others, even his enemies. It would also be a great way to explore Barry and Snart rivalry, in which Snart would start as Flash's enemy but, as the movie progress, he develops a sorta of respect for the hero.

        Its a good idea but personally that's something what would work better when there's a history between the characters, it would make a good sequel though.

          Good point! Another way I see that WB could do the Flash movie was to make a mystery movie, in which Barry would investigate a crime wave commited by the Mirror Master and the whole mystery would center around his identity. At first Barry, with the help of Iris, would suspect of Sam Scudder, a scientist who had a theory about another dimension that existed through the mirrors. However, after some investigation, Barry would find out that the Mirror Master is Evan McCulloch, a thug who stole Scudder's inventions and kidnapped the scientist so he could learn how to travel through the mirrors. This all would lead to a epic clímax: Flash vs Mirror Master in the Mirror World.

          That way, the plot would have a great mystery (which would showcase Barry as a smart forensic scientist instead of the weirdo he was in JL) but also would capture the sci-fy aspects of the Flash comics.

            i think the issue is more that, since they are no longer really following Snyder's vision, their may no longer be a purpose to having Ezra Miller in the role. Snyder clearly had a particular vision for what he wanted the character to be which is why he cast Ezra in the first place. If they wanted to make him just a traditional comic book Barry, im not sure if there would be any reason to have Ezra Miller here. So if they are going to keep him in the role, I think it would be a good idea to continue tapping into his humorous and playful personality as well as his charisma but while also having some of the more definitive traits of Barry so that its not just a "completely" different character.

            but I do not have problem with gay people
            my problem is that flash should portray like flask and i don't like miller feminine approach
            at least cw approach is actual one with a better Barry

            Wow RRRuler, it's called acting for a reason. If Ezra Miller even is Gay in real life & I have no idea if he is, he plays the Flash how they ask him too. He wasn't my first choice for the Flash but I don't think it was bad.I can name plenty of Gay actors who you didn't even know until they finally came out publicly.

      You want both the disgrace of DCEU that does not come that has good things in it as the feminine highlight and the incredible action scenes, want so much an absolute perfection that they are wanting a reboot, reboot, reboot.
      If you do not like it then do not watch the movies anymore with the series or with the animations that are overvalued if it were really vons as they say they would not go straight to Home-Video.

    Seriously, I'm fine with the Flash they have now (i.e., let him keep the current personality). But I do agree that making it a time travel story would be a fail.

    Don't know much about these directors, but this is the DC movie I am most looking forward to. Hopefully all will go well this time, the Flash deserves a movie: most famous superhero without one yet.

    I'm also excited about this movie, especially since it was rumored that they are leaving behind the Flashpoint story for later and are focusing more on Barry and his array of characters instead!
