'Wonder Woman 2' to film at Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands in Spain

Wonder Woman 2 is expected to start production this summer. We've already learned that Kristen Wiig has joined the cast as the villain, and now we're hearing about where the movie will be shooting as well.

According to Guide To Canary Islands, Wonder Woman 2 will be shooting at Tenerife, the largest of the seven Canary Islands in Spain. Tenerife officials confirmed that their island has been chosen for outdoor filming due to the island's diverse natural landscapes.

Judging from the photo above, it looks like it'd fit in nicely for Themyscira, the paradise island we were introduced to in the first movie. Italy was Themyscira in Wonder Woman, and it'll be interesting to see if the sequel goes back there as well.

Wonder Woman 2 will film this summer, it hits theaters on November 1, 2019.

I wonder if they will even incorporate Themyscira into WW2 since Dianna was banished in the first movie.

I still think Hippolyta could've meant she was unsure if Diana could return or not. "You MAY never return"...I didn't take it as "You're not allowed, or unable to return"...

  I think it meant she wouldn't be able to find her way back. It is shielded from the world of man after all. That was just my interpretation though.

  Golden Age WW lost her immortality by leaving the island which was one of the reasons Hippolyta wouldn't allow Diana to enter the contest.

      none of those scans are from the Golden Age. The Original Wonder Woman from the Golden Age was immortal, in fact some of her stories took place in the year 3000

      That depends on one's interpretation. Considering Crisis and Infinite Crisis had lasting affects on the DC universe as a whole, I accept them as canon, which is the basis of my original comment.

I dont think she was forbidden to return exactly. I just thought once she left the island she wouldnt be able to find her way back. As was mentioned below, that was also how interpret that scene. I suppose it was left ambiguous on purpose.

So regardless of the plot or when the movie takes places, Themyscira and the Amazons, should play a big role in Wonder Woman 2. https://uploads.disquscdn.c...

Since this movie takes place during the Cold War maybe we can see an outfit that’s an homage to Lynda carters... just for a disguise or something fun

Well seen as they are talking about lynda carter cameoing in the movie, that scene kinda writes itself. Have carter wear the old costume, playing an actress reinacting the battle from wonder woman 1. Although Carters age might prevent this from happening. I think she could pull it off. Have Diana see the show and complement Carter on her portrayal. Keeps everyone happy and is good fan service. Just a thought.
