Zack Snyder shares behind-the-scenes photo from Batman v Superman's warehouse fight

The Batman warehouse fight in Batman v Superman wasn't just one of the best scenes in the movie, it was one of the best Batman scenes ever! Director Zack Snyder took to Vero yesterday to share a behind-the-scenes photo.

"Found this on my phone," Snyder said. "That's Richard trying to find a quiet place during the warehouse fight." Richard Cetrone was Ben Affleck's Batman stunt double and did a majority of that scene. You can check out the new photo below.

I feel like we won’t get fight scenes like this anymore after Zacks departure... the guy brings his team of amazing choreography and seeing how Batman connected with punches that literally shook the theater in IMAX and see the guys Spit or saliva shoot out cause of the punch was brutal.

      Have you even read N52 Batman? Because he never went easy on people, jesus his fights with Joker were extremely violent and brutal. Actually speaking of N52 most of that was pretty violent and dark to the point of going OTT, again if you read any of it you would know that.

        I don't know how anyone could think N52 was tame because one of the biggest widely regarded faults of it was because it just went too far in terms of violence and making everything "dark", don't me wrong it had some fantastic stories and moments but overall it just went to OTT with it all and that's why i wonder if Kouglof has even read a single title from it.

        N52 has its ups and downs, for sure. Nothing irks me so much as some of its mere continuity changes, though, to be honest.

        What annoys me is dropping the history of ts characters all together, Flash for instance has some of the best history in DC and so much legacy but that was dumped with the N52, at least Rebirth has restored the proper Wally and is slowly restoring the Flash legacy now that Zolomon is back and Jay is coming back.

        I actually really like DotF and Endgame (that final fight is brutal as fuck) but i do think they went a bit far in terms of gore as it did get a bit stupid and OTT.

        I am actually reading New 52 Justice League, I didn't really like vol.2, the introduction of Wonder Woman's villain Cheetah was just awful, she just beat every Justice League member, she's faster than Flash, she bites Superman and make him a "cheetahman"?!! Ok it's a CB, but it ruins the CB's own logic. And I do not forget the Steve Trevor feelings about Diana, it's freely sorrowful.
        I preferred vol.5, the cliffhanger with Atomica and the kriptonite in Superman's brain was very good, but do you know why it was very cool? Because the idea was just an Identity Crisis rip off. Yes, I liked vol.5 because there was this Aquaman from Earth-3... who looks like the real Aquaman... but too bad he's only there as a cameo ... and the Aquaman from the current storyline just let his not-so-bad-brother Orm at the prison even if his brother loves him and was tricked by Vulko (vol.3) ...
        Oh yes, we were talking about Batman, completely forgot sorry, but how to not forget him, we can barely see Batman behind the Superman/Wonder Woman relationship, Batman is just here to add one more name into the heroes list, I don't even remember what noticeable thing he has done except catfighting with Aquaman for being the leader of the League.
        I've read the first three volumes of Batman Eternal, very good drawings, but the story isn't memorable.
        Yes, I do read New 52, I enjoy it even if it doesn't appear like that, but New 52 is not the CB I would recommand as a reference because the characters are not appealing. I've read better before.

        The reason i questioned if you read any of the N52 was because your original comment implied he liked gentle stuff because he read N52, i get now what you were trying to say but that comment did see weird because as you would know N52 is pretty far from "gentle". I also agree that the N52 is not good for reference although i would argue its not a bad starting on point for stuff like Batman, Flash and JL and a few others.

    Honestly I wish Zack could continue to direct the movies, but just have someone else provide better written stories. The designs for BvS, the casting, the cinematography was all stunning.

  I won't deny Snyder can't do great action but please he's hardly the best and i'm sure other directors will give us great fights scene in DC. Hell if Gareth Evans is really going to do Deathstroke then this Warehouse scene has already been beaten because while the Warehouse fight is amazing its still nothing to compared to even the weakest fight scene in The Raid films.

    I wonder when you (and others on this site) will stop jerking off the Raid film series. You guys have never trained martial arts before, or if you have you would get your ass beat by any real fighter. The fights are interesting to look at but if you pay close attention you will see that none of the hits look like they have any intent behind them, making them all suck.
    Better fight scenes are found in many HK action films or the Bourne films (despite the shaky camera work).

      You have no idea if i've trained in martial arts or not. You realize in The Raid films they are actually hitting each other, its all controlled though of course but they aren't hitting air. Also you realize the MA they use is one of the most deadly and most difficult to learn and can take someone their entire life to learn and still not even be classed as a master at it.
      As for better scenes else where well that's opinion. End of the day though when top martial artists and people like Jackie Chan are praising the films then your opinion means jack shit. Objectively The Raid films are two of the best actions films ever made and contain some of the best fights in film what don't need shaky cam to disguise the actors limited fighting skills, CGI, wire work or stunt doubles.

      No they weren't, i agree the warehouse scene is better then any Punisher fight scene but that doesn't mean The Punisher's fight scenes suck.

      Thats the thing, people are willing to accept just one great fight scene, over an overall quality movie. The warehouse scene was great, but not enough to watch this terrible film.

        It's a highlight of the film for sure; but as a die hard fan of BvS I do honestly enjoy it front to back. There's other elements I do praise aside from just the visuals/this scene but I don't think anyone who doesn't like the film would even care lol

      Warehouse scene aside i don't think the action scenes in BvS were that good either, the Batmobile chase scene was a loud mess and the Doomsday fight was just a huge let down especially after Supes Vs Zod in MoS.

Zack Snyder is a true visionary director in my opinion. He doesn't deserve all the crap he gets from all his critics. The haters just need to give it a rest and move on. Zack Snyder is no longer involved with the DCEU anymore so give the man some peace and let him release all the pics he wants.

        I know Zack Snyder is never coming back to the DCEU and I'm not praying for the Snyder cut of Justice League to come out anytime soon. But if it makes you feel better to hate Zack Snyder then by all means keep hating him. I'm sure the DCEU will recover from this and let's not forget, it's only a movie. They're bigger issues to worry about than a director that you don't like.

Despite how shit the film is theres no doubt this was an incredible action scene (especially in the UC), it really was like watching fighting from the Arkham games in live action.

    GOTG 2 is the 2nd worst MCU movie with THOR:The Dark world being the worst MCU film in my Opinion. GOTG 1 was a genuinely good movie(In Top 5 of the MCU) with excellent humor(except the Dance Off :P) .

        Don't be stupid. Gotg one is one of my favorite MCU films. There's something called balance and this shit was an over the top pile of crap. With 5th grade levels of slapstick humor and a ridiculously annoying amount of bad jokes. Comedies are great. Over doing it, like this film did ends up being an annoying turd to sit through.

  This video makes a breakdown and yeah it's crazy how they blended that handful of fighting styles. This scene truly showed how Batman is a master of different fighting styles, something that (with no disrespect) I think other Batmovies lacked.
  I really hope we can see something like that again in the future (dreaming of that Bats vs Deathstroke fight if it comes to happen...)

Cetrone is legit! He was Matthew Goode’s stunt Double in Watchmen which also had incredible choreography, 300, Iron Man and he played one of Zod’s henchmen Tor https://uploads.disquscdn.c... -An in MOS. This man is responsible for being the first actor/stunt double to show us all what the REAL Batman would be like in live action film.

    This actually bothers me... because when people are asked who their favorite Batman is, and if they go with Affleck, they usually refer to this action scene as a supporting argument. But the thing is, Ben had NOTHING to do with this, and shouldn't be credited or praised for it in any way. Say what you want about Bale, but at least he performed his own fight scenes, and it shows (for better or for worse). While this scene is great from a choreography standpoint, it's just too obvious that Affleck isn't wearing the suit, and in the Ultimate Cut, the scenes with Affleck just stand out so much more. Largely because Affleck's mouth is completely different, but his suit also had waaaaay more padding.

      As much as i love the scene i do find myself taking out of the fight when i remember Affleck had nothing to do with it and that CGI also played a huge role. I realize that Affleck realistically couldn't do all of that stuff but at the same time Chris Evans and the guy who plays Buckly did do a fair amount of that fight they have in TWS so couldn't they have just giving Affleck some of the more slower hand to hand stuff and leave the flips and more faster stuff for the stunt double?

        I do really like the scene... I just wish Batman felt more like a hero during the scene. Batman in TDK taking down the SWAT teams and Joker's thugs, all the while saving the innocent "clowns", really portrayed him as a formidable hero (in fact, this feat is way more impressive than Batfleck taking down 2 dozen untrained goons. The difference is in how "cool" it looked. My point is that Bale was definitely a formidable fighter. In fact, Bale's fights are more impressive). Batfleck just didn't feel all that heroic. He just felt like a lesser version of Punisher. I don't know how to describe it, but something was missing.

The fight choreography was good, but Batman was on a killing spree. It was good eye candy, but not a good scene character-wise. Affleck's double was also pretty obvious.
And that was pretty much the only semi-decent scene BvS had.
