      Barbie has some bumps in its history but its main goal has been to empower young girls by allowing them to roleplay in various professional roles (doctor, Astronaut, etc.) At the time a lot of girl toys were primarily aimed at being a mom, cooking, etc.

      Let's not gloss over history, now... The Barbie brand is older than 15 years; anybody who's lived longer than that knows Barbie never was about "empowering girls"... until maybe a couple years ago following feminist pressure.

         As a Gen Z I always acknowledged that Barbie was a trailblazer woman. A CEO, a model, equestrian or anything she desired to be.

         Feminist outrage and pressure was first applied to Barbie since 1963. They helped shape her.
