Director: Shazam movie costume similar to his look in 'Justice League: War'

On reddit, fans have been speculating about when we'll get our first look at Zachary Levi in costume for Shazam. Director David Sandberg is very active on social media and decided to give fans a hint as to what they can expect.

"The suit has some similarities to his look in Justice League: War," Sandberg revealed on reddit.

Justice League: War is an animated movie that was released in 2014. Here's a great look at his costume from that movie:

  Are you really using IGN as a comparison to any other entertainment site?? That site has gone down hard in terms of quality in both content and style of writing, without double-checking facts or repeating the same article again and again in order to get all those clikcs. And don't tell me about the click-bait headlines!
  And if you take a look to their comment sections where those viewers dwell, you will see that a large number of them are always mocking the site for those very reasons.

      No. I thought of the name Bob Burger when I was like 9 or something as a comic, due to seeing the alliteration of Comic characters like; Bruce Banner, Peter Parker, Reed Richards etc.

Unfortunately i can see the suit having texture to hide the inevitable fake muscles (akin to the Batman suit in BvS) as Levi is half the size of Affleck and the character requires quite a bit of size.
I just hope it doesn't have Superman type texture.

    marvel is unrealistically large unless you are some type of extreme body builder like those people playing the old gods in the JL history lesson. Plus they can also give him a muscle suit similar to the batfleck.

  This design is by the legendary Alex Ross and is considered by many to be one of the defining looks of Captain Marvel, anyone who has read Kingdom Come one of the greatest DC's stories ever would tell you this look is far from 90's looking.

    Alex Ross's older designs are masterful and gorgeously done, but undeniably dated. It's part of the charm but it really wouldn't translate into 2018. He'd look straight out of the old Flash show. Not to mention Kingdom is actually from the 90s.

      Kingdom Come is from 1996, but Captain Marvel's design looks straight out from 1939. The only thing Alex Ross made different is the waist sash. If it were a 90s design, it'd have many pointless belts/straps and pouches.

      Yes i'm aware KC is from the 90's but that design could come from any decade. Granted the image i posted is a 90's pose bu the costume could easily work nowadays with a few small changes.

Unrelated but wow i saw BvS again and it gets better every time i watch it. It is a master piece like never been in history of cinema. WOW the Martha scene when" Bruce said : Why did you say that name ? and Lois : It is his mother name" My god i can't forget that scene i sleep with that scene every night and what a great reason for a fight to end Thanks genius Mr.Snyder. The other scene i love very much is that flash : "It’s Lois! Lois Lane! She’s the key", wow another great scene from Snyder so much depth is in that scene so only few fans with high IQ get that scene. What a great Lex Luthor, wow never has been such a complicated villain in the history of cinema even Heath Ledger Joker kneels before him. My god i can't continue I must go and see the movie again Bye.

I am glad they are going with a more modern approach, and I really liked the JL War costume. I wasn't a big fan of the New 52 with the weird red color and cow pattern in the lightning, that was odd. I am sure this is burning up the "nostalgic" loving, can only be called Captain Marvel fans. I am waiting to see which pantheon of Gods they are sticking with in this universe. I am excited.

Looks good, but keep in mind that "some similarities" and "this is basically what our costume is going to be" are different things. This probably means: cape with hood, whitish lightning bolt outlined in yellow/gold, and a simple belt, as opposed to gold lightning bolt, sash belt, and royal looking cape (Young Justice style).
