'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' trailer: this is why Superman looked silly in 'Justice League'

on 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' trailer: this is why Superman looked silly in 'Justice League'

One of the most talked about moments in Justice League was how bad Henry Cavill's face looked as Superman in most of the scenes. For those who don't know, Cavill was shooting Mission: Impossible - Fallout at the same time that Justice League reshoots were going on last summer. Cavill was contractually obligated to keep the mustache he grew for Mission: Impossible, so it had to be digitally removed in Justice League. The results weren't all that great.

Tonight, the first Mission: Impossible - Fallout trailer premiered during the Super Bowl. It was packed with insane action and stunts, and showed Cavill in a setup to what looks like a helicopter chase. Maybe that's why director Christopher McQuarrie said using a fake mustache for the movie would've been impossible.

What did you think of the Mission: Impossible - Fallout trailer? Are you excited to see Henry Cavill in another big franchise? Let me know in the comments below.

    Worth it.

I've always been a Jackie Chan fan, as he is the Greatest Stuntman Actor Of All Time, but I pay my respects to Mr. Cruise despite not liking him for some reason.

Anyways that trailer looks great. The action visuals look somewhat like the John Wick series which is a great thing.

I'm talking about Paramount sticking to their guns and saying no so Cavill can keep his mustache. They did not bow down and get on their knees to WB.

WB deserves Justice League and the crap it gets for its DCEU, including Supe's strange lower face.

We deserve to suffer because some of the DC fans like BvS and therefore I hate my fellow DCEU fans so we shall suffer until we get those great solo films by Gareth Evans, Patty Jenkins, James Wan, Chris McKay and etc.

Not really, the door swings both ways.

I mean I like food on my plate, everyone doesn't mind food on their plate. But I don't like eating a McDonalds BigMac burger (BvS) on my plate while others like it. I'd prefer a nice heart-warming steak with salad and chips on the side, with a nice side of garlic prawns with it.

I mean we are all fans of food but I prefer better quality food as opposed to the eh food which other fans like.

Sorry for my intruding here, but you should take into account that what for some are big macs for others may be steak and viceversa, don't you think?

I honestly think that the real problem with "fandom" is that they don't accept that people have genuinely liked this movies. I mean, I don't mind people not liking the same as me, that's not going to change my perception of the movie, but why should my taste be criticised or looked down?

And judging by all the people who have given support to this movies it's clear that this not a Catwoman or a Fant4stic case, movies that were virtually liked by none!

Of course, as you say, the door swings both ways and the same can be said or those who defend it blindly or in a silly way. Not all of us do so. In fact I only defend them when someone makes a hypocritical comment or just blatantly says a lie in order to downplay them. If it is someone stating why he or she doesn't like a given movie, that's just an opinion that I share or not and that's it.

PS: BTW, isn't it ironic that with your profile you say you don't prefer burgers? ;p

          7. Bob Burger Avatar
            Bob Burgerreplying to jrvc

For me when I judge a film I analyse it through a critical film-making perspective. Such as the reasons of what makes, "The Revenant" a much better film than, "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword."

I understand opinions of, I like this & I do not like that, but that doesn't change the fact of how films are critically judged in a movie-making perspective. I mean I LIKE Will Smith's, "Bright" BUT I KNOW that it was a poorly directed film with many issues with lots of missed potential and overall it's a pretty bad film.

Same goes for BvS I don't like it, but it also just happens to be, from a film-making standard critiquing perspective, it is a badly made film.

So I don't care if someone says they like OR love BvS, however when someone says that BvS was a Great film then it is clear (from a film-making critiquing perspective) that they don't know that is actually a badly made film with many issues.

          8. jrvc Avatar
            jrvcreplying to Bob Burger

Well that's my point: for me it's a GREAT movie, more so if I judge it from a cbm perspective. For me this movie would be a steak among many burgers, and I'm pretty sure that my standards aren't that different from yours. I also like movies that can be considered bad, but for me BvS doesn't fall in that category (by the way I want to watch Bright, but it's funny that you mention it because it had a great audience reception in contrast to the poor reviews it had from critics, who should I believe? ;p)

Did it have issues? Yep, it had. But for me many of those issues were largely exaggerated (Batman killing for example, where people have said that he killed everyone on sight throughout the movie (!)), while other good things were largely ignored (there was more substance that people gave it credit for, many parts of the dialogue, choreography, that masterful score or the beautiful shots). I would summarize my opinion on the movie as the movie wasn't objectively badly made, but people's perspectives and expectations played a significant role on it (a recent article in Forbes touched that bit, BTW, in case you are interested on reading it), and of course the theatrical cut didn't help on those matters.

And now that's the thing, why should my opinion above be wrong in contrast with yours? Or the other way around?

Because based on film-studies there is a standard of how films are judged (much like how food is judged). Sure normal people can say they like things and not like things, but looking from a Professional critiquing perspective is what makes the difference between an actual good film and an actual bad film.

I can say that I love BvS with my soul, but that wouldn't change the fact of how films are actually judged, because there is a standard, there is a theorem of how films are judged and that's what makes the difference.

          20. jrvc Avatar
            jrvcreplying to Bob Burger

Well even if you were to be totally right about that theorem I'd still argue that the criticisms towards BvS were blown out of proportion

But anyway, this was not for judging the movie, but for trying to make you see that one's opinion shouldn't be considered such a bad thing just because other disagrees, nor taken as a cause to be attacked upon.

As far as I can see we have different opinions on a movie and we aren't going to change each other's mentality about it, so why couldn't we take parts amicably, if you get what I mean?

          21. Bob Burger Avatar
            Bob Burgerreplying to jrvc

I agree that BvS criticism is blown out of proportion, but still from the Critiquing film-perspective theorem standard, BvS has issues within that criteria that outweigh the good it does thus overall giving it bad reviews.

It's not so much that I see someone's opinion as a bad thing, it's that there's a line that can be crossed. Such as, I don't care if someone says that they, 'THINK" that BvS is a great film OR, "For me BvS is a Great film" because that's their opinion. It's that if someone says that BvS, "IS" a great film then from a factual critiquing film-making standard theorem view, they are totally wrong. That's the difference for between one's opinion and the professional society's view that creates a standard and therefore a fact in some subject and its criteria.

Anyways sure, let's agree to disagree.

            But that’s not even true.
The only people still sour after the Ultimate Edition of BvS are people who don’t like it because it’s too dark or it’s not Christopher Reeve’s Superman, and those same people hypocritically praise The Last Jedi. Or because of some minor flaw(s) (some which may even be genuine), yet which are looked at like these hugely overblown issues just to justify a predetermined opinion on the movie, and most of these supposed flaws are committed by countless other films that receive NO flack for them. I’ve read the reviews. I know how this works.

I'm talking about The Theatrical cut of BvS here. Also I'm not speaking on behalf of those random people who say, "This film's too dark" or, "It's not Reeves Superman"

I'm speaking from a critical film-making perspective, a perspective of how film's are actually judged not the view of how some normal dude sees it.

Oh please. BvS is like filet mignon. You probably can’t fully appreciate it with - say - a child’s palate. Perhaps you’ve been watching too many Marvel movies and think that’s how ALL superhero movies are supposed to be :P

Nah man I watch actual great films like The Revenant, Godfather, Django, Saving Private Ryan, Shawshank Redemption, The Dark Knight, Schindler's List and etc, it's just that BvS when it walks past these greats it is a tiny child who forgot his diaper lol.

Really though I hate fans who defend BvS because they're supporting badly made films (From a Professional Critiquing perspective) so WB will send us more actually critiqued badly made films our way e.g. Suicide Squad & Justice League.

I didn't say I hate fans who like BvS because I don't like it, I'm saying I hate them because they support and defend garbage and I don't want to have more garbage in my favourite comic brand because it'll ruin the DCEU brand.

I don't hate fans who like BvS because I didn't like it, I hate fans who defend this mediocre film and thus want more of such badly written and directed films.

          28. NinjaGamer13 Avatar
            NinjaGamer13replying to Bob Burger

Those are great films, indeed! How interesting it is that a person can like those same films as you, and even also dislike films like SS and JL, like you, and yet like BvS. It’s almost as if your “objective” stance might not be so infallible and written in stone... Hmmmm...

It’s not garbage, though. You only think that because you don’t like it. Surely for pathetic reasons. So, it’s exactly as I said.

And even if it were garbage, that’s no excuse to hate anyone. So thanks for proving you’re the problem with this fandom once again.

          29. Bob Burger Avatar
            Bob Burgerreplying to NinjaGamer13

I said I don't care if someone likes a film I don't like. It's if someone states that a bad film like BvS is great as a FACT which based on a critical film perspective they are clearly wrong. I hate our fans who defend and support crap asking for more crap like BvS because it's not great to have more crap in a long-term brand.

I'm not gonna bother writing a whole University Degree Semester's work of Film-Studies of how film's are judged (because you clearly will not allow your blinded mind-set to understand it) and that it's a fact that BvS is in the badly made film section.

You can live with what you think because as the old saying goes, "Ignorance is bliss."

"The problem is also what do you take as majority of opinions. If by
majority you only take what critics and fans say around the web, then
that's not the majority. I know several people who don't read comic
books and they pretty much enjoyed MoS and BvS, and when we went to see
JL they reaffirmed enjoying the first 2 movies a lot more."

How does that explain the bad word of mouth for BvS then what led to a massive 2nd week drop? Fact is it had a record braking opening but then a week later a record braking drop, it could only get that with bad word of mouth, if critics put off people then it wouldn't have opened so big. Also people never watched JL what was marketed as a sequel to BvS, end of the day people saw it was a sequel to a film they didn't like and so never went to see it.

          31. Hunter Zolomon Avatar
            Hunter Zolomonreplying to Hunter Zolomon

Still doesn't explain the bad word of mouth, if people saw it and liked it then they would have have told their friends and family to see it what in turn would have led to a better 2nd week turn out and 3rd week and so on. Thing is word of mouth is a powerful thing and works better then critic reviews, WW ended up doing better then expected purely down to fantastic world of mouth and hype that people who have watched it gave it. You may know people who enjoyed BvS but i can also say i know people who think different, my Dad and Sister who love comic book films (but don't read comics) really didn't enjoy it for instance. I'm not saying people didn't enjoy it but there's enough evidence out there to suggest the majority didn't enjoy it, i agree its not universally hated like Catwoman or Batman and Robin but it is still well regarded as not a good film.

No, he’s not. The reason “Martha” is hated so much (and deservedly so) is that the execution of the scene, on an objective level in terms of presentation and writing (the interpretation of any scene is subjective, not the execution, just do you know), is not done well.

A lot of people who hate the Martha moment, like me, fully understand it. The problem wasn’t people’s misinterpretation. The scene was hated because it is horribly written, paced, and executed on an objective level, regardless of interpretation.

And this is coming from someone who wanted to love this movie.

“On an objective level in terms of presentation and writing” LOL
There was NOTHING WRONG with the Martha scene, let alone from an “objective” standpoint.

No. It was hated because people didn’t understand it. I read the reviews. This whole “well the execution was the problem” excuse only came up as a retroactive justification for the viewers’ initial ignorance, from my experience so far. Because they didn’t get it, the execution MUST have been off. But here’s the thing: plenty of people, like me, DID get it, and had no problem understanding and LOVING it. So how can anyone with the remotest sincerity say it MUST have been OBJECTIVELY poorly done? Give me a break.

And this is coming from someone who set aside all the outside voices and inner biases and expectations and subjective preferences and preconceived notions in order to let the movie absorb me with ITS story, objectively, instead of my injecting MY ideas into IT.

No, he said he DOESN'T CARE that people like BvS. And his reasons for that, if you read them, are because he looks at all movies with a critical eye, like me and many other people, came to the conclusion that BvS is not a masterpiece that so many fanboys claim it is (not saying you are one of them, please don't take this the wrong way)

"There was NOTHING WRONG with the Martha scene, let alone from an “objective” standpoint."

Are you sure? I mean if you interpret it as a well written and emotional scene, that's completely fair. Like I said, the interpretation of anything in any medium is 100% subjective and should not be argued against. But have you taken any classes in screenwriting, or just writing in general, out of curiosity? I'm not trying to insult you in any way, but from a writing perspective, there are basic guidelines in the writing that are botched in execution. For one, the revelation to Batman that Superman had a mother and was willing to die for her comes right out of nowhere, and his reaction after Lois tells him that "[Martha] is his mother's name" makes no sense. Also in terms of presentation, the revelation of that is so poor that it honestly just looks like it's because their mothers do share the same name. Furthermore, the scene would not have worked anyway if their mothers did NOT share the same first name. And while this next part is subjective, I will also point out that the pacing of this scene is beyond unrealistic.

"No. It was hated because people didn’t understand it. I read the reviews. This whole “well the execution was the problem” excuse only came up as a retroactive justification for the viewers’ initial ignorance, from my experience so far. Oh how you are so wrong. That has never, once, for a moment, EVER been my thought process. I am downright insulted that you think this. What you have written here is just all one big terrible and incorrect assumption. In fact, people like you assuming that THIS is the reason BvS failed critically and financially are one of the reasons why the DCEU fanbase is ridiculed. It's just like the people who think that anyone who doesn't like any of the DCEU is a Marvel fanboy or someone just nostalgic for "muhSuperman" or "muhBatman" or whatever. It's just false assumptions that reek of denial for why these movies are actually disliked by many (though I'm not saying you yourself are doing that, don't get me wrong). Give ME a break!

"And this is coming from someone who set aside all the outside voices and inner biases and expectations and subjective preferences and preconceived notions in order to let the movie absorb me with ITS story, objectively, instead of my injecting MY ideas into IT."

I'll be honest, I'm not entirely sure what you mean here. Most people who I know personally outside the internet that saw BvS, Ultimate Edition or not, and hated it WANTED to love it and saw it regardless of reviews, and still hated it. And I can safely say that it's not the critics' fault for causing this movie to fail. It was word of mouth. And even if that was not the case, let's look at the critical reception itself: it's not the fact that "the critics don't understand it" (that's a bullshit argument I've seen countless fanboys spout out), it's because the film is poorly executed in many ways. Keep in mind, critics watch EVERYTHING that comes out, not just what they want to see. Now, do I think all of the hate towards this movie is warranted? Actually no, in fact a good chunk of it is excessive and even unwarranted. There are things of quality in this movie that actually make me like a lot of it, even if it fails to deliver the full package. Also I will point out that some flaws that it has are strangely ignored in other CBM's, like Age of Ultron, so that's another reason I do think some hate is unwarranted/excessive.

Your lies are getting out of hand. Bob Burger literally said - and this is copy and pasted straight from his comment - “We deserve to suffer because some of the DC fans like BvS and therefore I hate my fellow DCEU fans”

There are correct and incorrect interpretations, first of all. I’m not that postmodern. The intent of the writers is very clear (and has even been explained by those involved in the film in interviews), and only that meaning is the definitively true one.
And yes I have. I’m an English major, lol. I know how storytelling and writing works, and I can tell you that all of those claims you made were utterly baseless opinions or even outright falsehoods. All you told me in that entire paragraph is that you didn’t get it. And so now that’s the movie’s fault, because, as many of the movie’s critics are, you are unwilling to admit you could be wrong. But newsflash, I got it the very first time I watched it, and it worked just fine. I actually teared up. It’s a climax of emotion and a very well-crafted display of knowledge for these characters’ cores and arcs and the function of their psychological baggage.

You can not discredit my personal experience. That is all I have witnessed, and that’s the truth. Maybe you’re not one of those people. If that’s the case, good for you. You probably just picked that up from them. But regardless, it doesn’t make any of your claims any more true. They’re simply baseless.

And most people I know who saw it loved it, so I guess that’s pretty meaningless, huh? :P
The widely publicized and dramatically overblown critical thrashing the movie received without a single doubt in my mind caused a huge amount of its failure. As well as numerous other factors working against it since before it was even released. And the obvious issue of the theatrical cut that WB butchered into being. And the admitted fact that a significant portion (though I would contend not most) of the general audience didn’t like it.
I have read plenty of critics’ reviews of the movie to know that it IS, in fact, in many cases, because they didn’t understand it, actually. Or that they were being entirely hypocritically hypercritical for inexplicable reasons.
Most criticism I’ve heard of BvS from ANYONE is 1. Stated as a claim of fact, and 2. Actually entirely subjective or even objectively false.
I’m glad you’re fair enough to see the blatant hypocrisy and such in the reception to the movie, though. There are many religiously anti-Snyder fanatics out there who are so blindly biased they don’t even see that.
And as for what I was saying with my comment, I was simply alluding to the fact that wanting to see it or not doesn’t make a difference; it’s letting your perception of it be influenced by outside voices and things. I genuinely, wholeheartedly believe that if anyone approaches this movie with an entirely open mind and objective, fair attitude, they will not dislike it. And that’s what happened with me. I had my doubts. But then I really just let the movie tell ITS story, and stopped trying to see it a certain way that was only in my head, and I discovered a wonderful story with a beautiful message that was intricately and brilliantly crafted and was just as good a way, if not better, for the story to go than anything I envisioned before that might have messed with my enjoyment of the movie. That’s not to say it’s perfect; no movie is perfect. It certainly has flaws, and I could easily discuss those, but they are not nearly enough to justify its being called a bad movie, let alone as bad of a movie as its reputation with the critics suggests.

"Your lies are getting out of hand. Bob Burger literally said - and this is copy and pasted straight from his comment - “We deserve to suffer because some of the DC fans like BvS and therefore I hate my fellow DCEU fans”"

Oh I never read that comment, I was quoting a different one. My mistake, I'll give you that.

"I know how storytelling and writing works, and I can tell you that all of those claims you made were utterly baseless opinions or even outright falsehoods. It’s a climax of emotion and a very well-crafted display of knowledge for these characters’ cores and arcs and the function of their psychological baggage."

Wow, that's VERY respectful /s. Anyway I DO get it. I get that it's extremely rushed (it comes out of nowhere, no matter how you interpret it), unrealistic (what's to stop this happening between Batman and The Joker? Joker having a mother and be willing to die for her wouldn't stop any iteration of Batman, much less one so angry and brutal), and just poorly presented (whether you interpret it or not, it just looks like it is because their mothers share the same name, I'm sorry). Now, if you can counter-argue these exact points with evidence that is more than an interpretation WITHOUT discrediting me or insulting me, I will listen. If not, I won't.

Good for you that you got it the first time. So did I. So no, I am not "unwilling to admit I'm wrong." That's YET ANOTHER disgusting, biased assumption, that is, to your words baseless. You are so superficial in that you think you are right so much that YOU are unwilling to be open that maybe people don't like it for other reasons than not understanding it.

"You can not discredit my personal experience. That is all I have witnessed, and that’s the truth. Maybe you’re not one of those people. If that’s the case, good for you. You probably just picked that up from them. But regardless, it doesn’t make any of your claims any more true. They’re simply baseless."

No, I never did that. I said that the scene is executed poorly in response to your terrible assumptions about people who dislike the movie. I actually appreciate you for finding enjoyment in something that I could not. I never said you were not allowed to experience what you did!

"And most people I know who saw it loved it, so I guess that’s pretty meaningless, huh? :P"

I never said people like you enjoying it was meaningless...

"The widely publicized and dramatically overblown critical thrashing the movie received without a single doubt in my mind caused a huge amount of its failure. As well as numerous other factors working against it since before it was even released. And the obvious issue of the theatrical cut that WB butchered into being. And the admitted fact that a significant portion (though I would contend not most) of the general audience didn’t like it."

No it wasn't. Look at the opening weekend numbers. Then look at what happened a week later. That cannot be a result of people only listening to critics. That is a result of word of mouth. And the Theatrical Cut and the Ultimate Edition aren't THAT different. Heck, I think the studio was right in cutting 30 minutes from the movie (I would argue that they cut the wrong 30 minutes, but that's another story). This is because most newer 3-hour movies (this is excluding older films like The Godfather trilogy), at least that I've noticed, are not as appreciated by the GA, and a lot of the major criticisms are not fixed by adding 30 minutes to a movie that is already hated. Plus, IMAX theaters will not show 3-hour movies.

"I have read plenty of critics’ reviews of the movie to know that it IS, in fact, in many cases, because they didn’t understand it, actually. Or that they were being entirely hypocritically hypercritical for inexplicable reasons."

Which parts did they not understand? Keep in mind, no matter how "deep" or "misunderstood" the film is, it is still a dumb story about a guy who dresses up as a bat and an alien who fight. Critics don't care about whatever vague or pseudo-intellectual symbolism that is in a film like that and does not deliver in other areas, ESPECIALLY not in superhero movies or blockbusters. Enjoy the film all you want, I'm not here to stop you. But if you actually think this film is "too smart" for me or the critics, just stop.

            This is my last response.

We get it, you like Jackie Chan. Who doesn't? He's an amazing stunt performer, but he doesn't have access to the producers, directors, production designers, distributors and writers Tom Cruise has, he's never worked with Kubrick or PTA or Spielberg tho some of his films remain gold standards of martial arts niche. One would hope an MA master could put cruise through the hoops in terms of combat, but he has little of the charisma and star power or quality films Cruise has and a more apt performer to compare Chan with would be Jet Li or Tony Jaa or Iko Uwais or Jean Claude Van Damme or Donnie Yen. Comparing the Foreigner to MI6 is simply laughable from a filmmaking standpoint, even with Martin Campbell's occasionally impressive action chops. Cruise is the whole package and his only significant rival right now is Keanu Reeves. It takes little in the way of observation skills to see this. If you wanna hate on Tom Cruise for being Tom Cruise, join the herd, but the existence of superior stunt men doesn't diminish his contributions to the action genre.

I'm saying that Jackie Chan is simply the superior Stuntman over Tom as he's in a completely different league.

I respect Tom Cruise at what he's accomplished as a Stuntman, I'm simply saying that Jackie Chan is a much better stuntman. It takes little observation skills to be able to see I'm simply referring to stuntman work NOT film quality AT ALL. Get what I'm saying man?

I agree. I think it's pretty clear cut for spy genre fans. Even though Bond is a douchey character he's still iconic for good reason. Those are the big 3 franchises going and Craig's Bond is hard to beat, even with 2 great entries and 2 mediocre ones. Bourne recently shit the bed and I'd argue might still only rank second if it had just been the first three because he just doesn't have the same cultural currency as Bond. MI series is an enigma because 2, although totally awesome at the time has aged to become laughable and is the titular example of the Tom Cruise people can't stand. 3 shoehorned in some pretty dopey domestic storylines and 4 and 5 were kind of middling spy stories. The only explanation why they rank so well is because of how well all of them were made and how much of a pleasure it is to see Cruise do his thing.

I loved the trailer for Kingsman 2, felt like a pretty inspired use of Sinatra, but the movie itself was pretty insipid, chauvinist and its "imagination" was cringeworthy most of the time. I liked Kick Ass a lot and even First Class, but Vaughn is like Snyder, nobody seems to be checking his dumber impulses.

I grew up in the 90s, so Brosnan was my dude. Was already a fan of Craig's in Road to Perdition and Layer Cake and was head over heels for Casino Royale. I even watched the hell out of Quantum, because aside from the dreadful snap editing, one could see how the writer's strike robbed it of a similar greatness. Skyfall, though imperfect, is THE contemporary Spy Actioner to beat and recently I've watched Spectre a few times, piping in Radiohead's track over Sam Smith's garbage and have found much to love until its woefully misguided finale. "It was me, James" is a line often uttered in my house. "The Author of your pain!"

That said, Tom Cruise IS movies. There is little escapism like Mission Impossible, for what that's worth.

I loved when they had Winkler jump over the shark in Arrested Development. I also though Nuke the Fridge was a great update.

Will always have a soft spot for Brosnan, even his shittiest Bonds. Loving that series means taking the bad with the good, historically, which I think is 100 percent what Vaugn thinks we should be acknowledging.

To some extent what Deadpool proved is that if you want to referentially pay tribute to enjoyable shlock, there has to be some moments of genius. And it pays to be able to break the 4th wall, because intuiting an audience's ability to catch a cinematic "wink" can sometimes go awry, or sometimes it just doesn't even register as self-aware and is just more shlock. I think (Deadpool precursor) Kick-ass did this really well, and obviously people don't still talk about it because of its excremental sequel. But the bazooka at the end. Mark Strong's amazingly overcooked lines, like pulling Kick-Ass' lungs out through his ass. Great stuff.

Why couldn’t he grow it back? Have CGI stache? Use makeup and fake mustaches? Some combination of these things?

Though it is fair that WB is at fault. They should’ve known better than demand reshoots if he needed a stache during them, especially if they weren’t going to let them take their time on it for the sake of their precious bonuses...

It takes months to grow a thick mustache, why use cgi when they already have the real deal? They didnt need to do any of these things for wb. Wb messed up big time, and they needed this reminder for whatever's left of the dceu. Their intentions were to fire snyder right after bvs( which was reasonable) but they didnt and should've let him finish the movie instead of firing him last minute.

            I suppose that’s fair.

Though I wouldn’t say firing Snyder is reasonable when it was largely their own fault BvS did poorly with the critics :P

Either way, that was still their order, and I actually don’t think there are probably any 30 full minutes that could cut without any detriment to the movie

I can think of a few actually.
Like the whole knightmare sequence which was ignored te entire movie, the scene with lex and the senator talking couldve been shorter, etc..

This comment (plus the vomit including others I’ve witnessed since JL’s release) with Chris’s god awful headline plus awful twitter (he’s basically Josh Wilding now except somehow even worst because at least Wilding doesn’t wish Snyder a happy father’s day after his daughter killed herself) and this place should be renamed Snyder-Blog.com.

I'll be honest, I don't know what to make of this trailer. I really like the recent sequels (Ghost Protocol and to a lesser extent Rogue Nation), but this looks like it's taking itself way too seriously all while showing these crazy stunts. I'll remain hopeful, and if it gets good reviews I'll see it.

EDIT: I should elaborate, regardless of my nitpicking of it being taken too seriously, this still looks like a damn good time.

I think MI3's worst elements remain the fleshing out Hunt's character. MI4 went back to the basics and used Cruise as an ass-kicking machine. Perhaps because of his injury they chose to give Ethan's character more focus this go around.

They are all similarly great, with the biggest problems being found in 2, and while I agree 3 is a standout, I stand by my points of contention.

I never blamed the Mission Impossible producers, good for them, they were protecting their movie. It's whoever has final call on what ends up in Justice League, whoever that person is, they saw that first scene and thought it was okay for the movie.

I haven't seen this trailer yet, it's another Mission Impossible movie. It will be awesome, no matter what.

Superman looked silly because they needed a reshoot in the first place. How the hell is he going to know that they're going to reshoot most of his scenes?

WB is going to chat with Mr. Cavill, and I am sure now it will be in writing: "As long as you are Superman we own your face."

I am so sure WB and DC understands they have to pretty much get all their actors to prioritize their characters over others in regards to their looks (and understandably so with the money riding on them), so Henry will be given this ultimatum of which I am sure he acknowledges.

Do I see him leaving? Maybe, but you can clearly tell Henry actually really enjoys Superman as a character (I mean he named his dog Kal - but not Nic Cage level with his son haha), and knows that its a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to do this.

However, I really enjoyed the trailer so hopefully the stache is worth it!

I didn't mean that he can never grow facial hair again. What I meant, is that as long as a Superman-involving movie is in production, he might have a "no-Facial-hair" clause in his deal. It's not that difficult, but I am not an entertainment lawyer lol, so who knows. Do you?

The movie was done so he moved to his next contract which was mi6. they called them back for reshoots which isnt part of his contract and got paide extra. His new contract for mi6 required a mustache, and since they weren't finish filming he coukdnt shave it . hope tgat explains it :)
