Last Thursday must have been "Remember The Dark Knight Rises Day". Star Anne Hathaway shared a selfie with the Batpod, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt shared a photo from a The Dark Knight Rises photo shoot with Christian Bale and Tom Hardy.
Gordon-Levitt played John Blake, a cop who was trusted by Bruce Wayne and left the tools to continue the symbol of Batman after Wayne retired in Italy with Hathaway's Selina Kyle. Check out Gordon-Levitt's Instagram post below.

What about JGL as Batman. Seeing him here next to these guys he's a pretty big guy. If he put on some major muscle he could do it.

don't forget, the other important feature of Bruce Wayne is that he's supposedly a very handsome man; i don't believe Borlin or hamm fit that category really well...
well i consider Alex Ross's batman to be a goofy abomination so...
he's the only artist who actually makes him look like a middle aged dude in a Halloween costume with that ugly and basic batsuit (if you can call his cloth design a suit...). it looks like something cheap Alfred sewed up in his free time (also the cowl's face window is to wide and his bruce looks to old)
come on, the only thing his got going for him is the hyper realism.
He's a great actor but he's too much of a pretty boy for Bruce, he would make a great older Dick Grayson though or Dick Grayson Batman.

and to this day. i still don't get the role of levitt's ending in the dark knight rises.
Anyone can be Batman. It’s an immortal symbol. That’s what Bruce says was always the point. Then to further drive that home, when he fakes his death and retires, he leaves behind his gear for “Robin” so that there could be another Batman should Gotham ever need him again.
i mean i wish to see levitt in robin's role. shame we might never get to witness it.
The simplest and best illustration of this: in the final shot of the movie, the (new) Dark Knight rises. Then the screen says “The Dark Knight Rises”

Golden age of DC, These three alone can run a movie like a charm & put them in any movie & nothing else is needed except a minimum average director. I don't think that DC will ever have actors like these three for their superhero movies.

Although many did not like TDKR, for me it was a great ending to Nolan's trilogy. Bruce Wayne retiring to give the mantle to another, it seemed perfect.
I wonder if we'll ever see John Blake as Gotham's new watchman, at least for an animated movie.
Most people liked TDKRises, even though internet fanboys wouldn’t have you think so. It was a great movie, whether or not it was as good as the previous two.
Definitely for me the most satisfying end to Batman yet. Faking his death, Batman getting the recognition he deserves finally in the city, living happily with a woman he loves, letting his closest loved ones know, leaving the mantle to his protege, etc. That’s how I envision Batman’s end. Arkham Knight, while a fantastic game and story, did not have nearly as satisfying a resolution (and yes, I unlocked all endings).

I always saw this movie as the Return of the Jedi for Batman: a movie whose worst issue was being in the shade of the previous two, but a great trilogy finale nonetheless
I still don't get the hate for RotJ. It's my favorite of the original trilogy.
A lot of the complaints I see are things like "F**king Ewoks defeated the Empire!", which is so hyperbolic and off-base it's just comical. ...But they're serious... lol
TDKR has some choices I don't personally favor (some of Bruce's behavior is so jaw-droppingly backwards from his character progression in the last two films for example), but it's still an amazing movie that strikes true and deep, so I easily forgive those things for the bigger picture. Just wish we could've squeezed one more movie out of Nolan, Bale, and Anne Hathaway.
After Justice League, any nitpicks I had with TDKR are whispers down a very long, noisy hallway.
Dude, again we share a sentiment. Return always was and is my favourite Star Wars movie. I can understand some criticism towards the Ewoks (ater all they were created to sell toys), but apart from that we have the exciting Han's rescue, the powerful scene with Yoda, the Rebel attack, the Emperor, everything related to Vader... and the music in that final duel is just the proverbial cherry-on-top.
I agree TDKR had some choices I didn't like. Two things I really disliked was that Batman had been retired for so long (he should've been keeping on fighting to really earn his peace) and that the second fight with Bane should've been at least as brutal as the first one. I thought it was too short and not very spectacular. But the general theme of the movie and its performances and score makes forget that, and it gave us a great finale for this Batman.
Funny thing is, from this movie on is when DC movies started to get that undeserved hate, it's like no one can defend this movie anymore (and Nolan suffered some bashing for it too, although it seems that has stopped, fortunately)

Arkham Knight's ending aside (i loved it) i agree with everything you said, Nolan actually gave us ending for Batman something i doubt we will ever see again on the big screen.
A new Batman trilogy from Matt Reeves starring Christian Bale as Batman, JGL as dead Nightwing, Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, Tom Hardy as Bane (with real venom).
No Tom Hardy as Bane. Nolan should have found a hispanic actor to play him. His white bread cast, except for Lucius Fox, was my only issue with his films.
Tom Hardy for "the continuity" I mean. I've checked an IMDB list for famous hispanic actors ( http://www.imdb.com/list/ls... ), and I've only found Javier Bardem who's OK for the role of Bane, but I think Javier Bardem was playing in Skyfall in 2012. The "real" issue was Ra's Al Ghul but Liam Neeson is a wonderful actor.

I never knew such a day existed for The Dark Knight Rises. But great photo nonetheless.
I loved TDKRises and never understood why so many didn't. It was definitely paced the best of the three for such a grand settings...all of Gotham. The shit just kept happening, and amongst all that angst, we were allowed to breathe. Nolan also made the movie large and small at the same time, effortlessly. Beyond whatever superhero drama was taking place on the grand scale, the little guys were banding together, or struggling to, to fight the battle. I don't think most people got all that, or they just wanted their comic book Bane and Talia. My only zinger I would throw at it was that he didn't find a hispanic actor to play Bane. Stil, he wrapped up his efforts in a nice package. Very well written, directed...probably my favorite of the three, the second movie right on its heels.

rather have great actors starring in a great trilogy with fairly above average heights (whom are presumably "midgets" to you) instead of a drunkard sex offender with his gut and man tits hanging out, starring in a garbage tier movie
The only good actor for playing Bane is David Bautista for me, but he's already Drax in Marvel movies.
