IMDb has released a “Top 10 Movies of 2017” list, where they looked at the 10 movies that consistently ranked the highest on the IMDb MovieMeter chart throughout the year. IMDb MovieMeter rankings are based on the actual page views of IMDb’s more than 250 million unique monthly visitors.

While IT had the most viewed page on IMDb for the year, Wonder Woman came in at #2. Justice League also made the Top 10, coming in at #6.

Here's the full list of the Top 10 most viewed movie pages on IMDb for 2017:

Earlier this month IMDb released the stats for their most viewed actor page, and Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot took the number one spot.

  Covenant was a critical/commercial flop and BR2049 was a financial disappointment. Page views aren’t much consolation for them.

I found this. I don't know how accurate or credible this is, but I heard that they were the ones who first got the scoop on the Disney/Fox deal, so maybe there is some legitimacy to what they have to say...?
Probably not, so nobody get their hopes up. But still interesting.

Strange that there is no Star Wars. If it is too late for The Last Jedi (and that would be a problem with these early 2017 lists), then Rogue One should probably be there.
And, as always, DC movies do great for a franchise that some deluded people always want to reboot!

  Anyway, Disney's "magic" becomes evident when movies like TLJ and Ragnarok, which have the worst scripts ever (TLJ probably the worst ever) get 92 % or 93 % RT scores.

  JL is a flop, won't make as much as even Man of Steel. Meanwhile Last Jedi within days of it's release has made almost as much as JL.

    Do you know that, in 4 weeks alone, Justice League has laready made more money in the foreign market than Wonder Woman in 23 weels ? The omly reason it "flopped" financially (if you can call a 650 million + box office a "flop") was that it didn't do as well as expected in the US market, chiefly because of the negative marketing campaign and the bad (US critics) reviews.

      Do you know that comparing the money JL has made in any market to Wonder Woman shouldn't even be a thing, regarding the difference in size of them. Do you know that a 250-300M dollar movie won't just break even with 637M at the box office (current worldwide estimate). A flop isn't determined by the ammount of money a movie makes, it's determined by what it makes AND the movie's budget. Also, check how much Wonder Woman made and JL made. JL has basically stopped bringing in money. Didn't even make 10M worldwide this past weekend. Wonder Woman almost has 200 more Million dollars at the box office. Justice League's box office is a joke. Worldwide isn't even on the level of the Avengers' domestic intake.

So much for Superhero fatigue in Hollywood, 5/10 are comic book films. One day it will slow down but right now just like Star Wars, whether it’s a good movie or not people want to see them.

      Did you guys read the article? The title of this article is "‘Justice League’ and ‘Wonder Woman’ were Top 10 movies on IMDb in 2017", which logically implies that these two movies are ranked in the top 10 in 2017, based on these movies' content.
      The article is NOT about the quality of the movies and how they are ranked by IMBD or fans, but the most irrelevant measure: how many times people looked up these movies' on IMBD. That is not even remotely the same thing as saying that these movies rank in the top 10, which implies that these are the 10 movies in the minds of fans. Clickbait.

  I enjoyed it. Wasn’t horrible. I also liked Prometheus. Then again I’m not a big fan of the franchise, so I wouldn’t know if they messed up any of the continuity or characters from the franchise...

    I'm a big fan of the franchise, and I really like both prequel movies, and I didn't really take offense to continuity issues others have had. I think it has some pretty neat threads tied to the original movies.

      The highest audience score belongs to the lowest grossing movie. It’s obviously not indicative of much.

        How can you be this disconnected from reality?
        Only a subset of the GA reads Metacritic/RT, and only a subset of the subset creates accounts to rate movies there. (I’m in the first subset, not the second.) CinemaScore isn’t very predictive of box office. Mother! famously got an F, and yet its box office wasn’t *that* bad. A 2.4x multiplier (final gross / opening weekend) here is far from good, but it’s not outright horrific. Three Snyder films have fallen short of 2x, btw.
        You know what’s a much more valid and reliable metric? Box office. People vote with their wallets. Clichés endure because they make sense. JL’s b.o. performance doesn’t suggest the audience loves it.
        A 2nd weekend decline of 56% would usually be OK, but it happened during the busy post-Thanksgiving weekend. Everything else held up very, very well. (Look at Murder on the Orient Express!) Without that cushion its decline likely would’ve been in the high 60s.

        I’ll grant you this, however: after its second weekend, it didn’t free-fall the way people expected. Declines of 60, 42 and 55 percent are average-ish. It’s currently at a mediocre 2.4x multiplier here, which is actually high for Snyder.
        All of this adds up to the audience thinking JL is...okay. After a disastrous opening weekend, its performance has been...okay. Word of mouth hasn’t been toxic, which is something of a victory.
        Get it out of your head that the GA “loves” this movie. (They “usually adore” this stuff...but not this time.) Do not cite a useless online poll. If they “loved” it, or even really liked it, its $94M opening would’ve led to a gross well over $300M. It’s going to finish with about $230-235M. Box office is the only metric that matters, and it’s telling us the reaction has been...okay. That’s all.

        Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB, Metacritic, and Cinemascore are the most popular and widely trusted sources we have for determining general audience appreciation of films, and JL’s score is not at all shocking; I saw the movie myself, and it is the stuff the GA usually loves to bits, whether you and I were big fans of it or not.

  Because its the sequel of a movie most didnt like(bvs). Idk why its hard for you to understand that bvs was hated by most of the audience and critics. Bvs numbers dropped dramatically on the second weekend. Couldnt even pass 100m on china. Now most ppl like jl, but not enough went to see it, and i guarantee you, its most of the ppl that didnt like bvs that didnt show up....now you can continue to deny facts. 90 m opening weekend for jl? And youre telling me bvs had nothing to do with?yeah right.
