First look: Diamond Select Batman: The Animated Series Killer Croc Bust

The folks at Diamond Select are at it again, with another amazing Batman: The Animated Series resin bust. Due out in summer 2018, Killer Croc appears to have the same great sculpting and paint-work as the other pieces in this series. I can't wait to get my hands on him!

Though I loved BTAS, they really butchered Killer Croc in the show with both his small appearance, terrible voice, and white skin. TNBA was a little better, but The Batman and the Arkham Games did him justice.

  In his original appearances in the comics, he was more like a wise guy—that might be where they were aiming with his voice. I agree that it’s not a great voice either. The light skin isn’t my favorite, either, but I’ve gotten used to it in the context of the show, and I don’t mind it.
  If you’ve never read it, Croc had a great appearance in a “Joker's Asylum” tie-in comic from before the New 52 days. It’s collected in the Batman: Arkham: Killer Croc trade.

    I get what they were going for, but honestly the show worked at its best when it was doing its own take on the characters as opposed to trying to emulate/water down the comics for a kid adaptation.
    I'll definitely check that out. Was also a fan of his appearance in Hush.

Everyone makes fun of Cros for his throwing a rock remark but have you ever seen the episode where Croc actually threw it? The rock came THIS close to Batman's head.

  It was also Batman disguised as Croc who made the comment, so there’s that ;-)

    Although he did shout "HIT 'IM WITH A ROCK!" as a suitable punishment for Batman in "Trial"

I was never really a fan of the white Killer Croc. It didn't seem right.
