Someone hacked the 'Justice League' petition for Zack Snyder's cut

The petition on Change.org asking Warner Bros. to release Zack Snyder's cut of Justice League was hacked today.

At around 2pm EST the account posted an updated that said "Victory!", which brought excitement to many fans. But Roberto Mata, the fan who created the petition, took to Twitter to announce that his account had been hacked and deleted.

While Roberto's account may have been hacked, the petition is still online with 162,000+ signatures. And the drama around Zack Snyder's cut of Justice League continues...

Why? What is the point of all of this? There's no way they are going to release Snyder's cut. These guys didn't have the balls or decency to even fire Snyder after they lost faith in him, why would they have the humility to backtrack and release the version they gave a thumbs down?

    It was only too late because they allowed it to be. They could have pushed back the release, fired Zack and then hired someone else. No conceivable reason why you would allow someone who you don't trust to get the job done, to spend millions of your money on a product you won't be confident in putting out there and are gonna spend more millions to cut to shreds anyway. Insane business from Warner Bros.

Theatrical and home video, marketing, domestic and foreign (China being a separate category), everything. With all said and done, BvS made a profit of $105.7M. Justice League, likely to finish $200M below BvS’s worldwide gross, against a bigger budget, will lose them money.

Theaters gets a percentage and china gets a higher percentage.so right now justice league is probably sitting at around 400m..it will lose over 100m, so they definitely wont spend more money to put them deeper in the hole over a snyder cut.

        It's common knowledge that studio get 1/2 domestically, 1/3 internationally and 1/4 in china of the ticket sold income.
        All I know is that I can’t think of a time I’ve heard a movie that made a few hundred million over its budget for which it was considered common knowledge that it lost a lot of money.
        You seem to be losing brain Cell by the day.Jl production cost was $300 million, $100-150 million marketing cost aka it's total cost is between $400-450 million.It won't be able to make it's investment back.Let alone create a profit.Jl is a disaster.

        I promise you the VFX weren't finished in January for a movie that wasn't out until November. We know based on the leaks that the VFX weren't close to being done. Just look at the deleted Iris West scene. They work on that stuff until the week of a movie sometimes.

        You like him, fine.
        But his movies were polarizing. His 'vision' is not what should have been used to bring these iconic characters to screen. And after BvS flopped, he should have been shown the door, purely for financial reasons.
        IMO, WB fucked up as soon as they hired the guy behind Sucker Punch to film launch their cinematic universe.
        Just because you like someone's style does not mean they are right for the job.

        MoS is the only un-meddled-with Snyder film we got in the DCEU. And while it may have been considered polarizing to the critics and some fans, still a majority of critics liked it, it was a financial success, and it certainly was not polarizing for the general audience, who overwhelmingly liked it.
        Even the cut-up version of BvS the WB execs had put into theaters was mostly well-received by those who actually bothered to go see it and made buckets of money, and there’s not a person here who won’t admit that something closer to the UE wouldn’t have had a better critical reception.
        Then there was the behind-the-scenes horror story that was SS - with WB literally forcing David Ayer to change the tone and rework his movie and making multiple versions of their own cuts of it with the help of a trailer company before settling for the trash we ended up getting which ditched much of the character development as well as other things - all out of reactionary fear.
        And now we get JL, which has been criticized by many as being a “Frankenstein” of a movie due to the clashing tones of Snyder and the man WB apparently brought in to change everything as soon as Snyder’s daughter died, and WB’s rushing the movie’s resulting horrible CGI - again all out of reactionary fear, as well as sheer greed to get their bonuses in time.
        So no, it’s not Snyder; it’s WB.
        Zack Snyder was chosen by David S. Goyer and Christopher Nolan to tell their story with MoS. That wasn’t WB’s fault. And it wasn’t those two’s “fault” either; they knew what they were doing. They’re the best in the business for pity sake.
        You’re right. He was right for the job for many other reasons, as well. 👍🏻

        I mean, yeah, really. If you want to launch a new cinematic universe and your first movie is poorly received, then find a different universe helmer. You're right, most critics liked it, by a very slight majority. Yet it is still considered 'rotten' over at RT, and yes, that matters.
        And no, no one liked the cut up version of BvS, EVERYONE was shitting on it lol.
        Nolan is great, but Goyer largely sucks, look at some of the crap he has done. No, sorry, SNyder was just a mistake from the start. You like him, fine, but the dude simply isn't talented enough to bring these characters to the screen.
        If Whedon hadn't come in, JL still would have been a mess. Absolutely. It would not have been much better than BvSUE, which was still pretty shitty.
        You're very polite and civil, and I commend you for that. But man, you need to stop apologizing for that hack and warping reality to try and defend him.

        Jolly rancher popping lex luthor
        Doomsday being wasted, coming out of nowhere suddenly and being defeated almost as quickly.
        Wasting time on senate hearings, kind of like the SW prequels did. They turned out just as acclaimed.
        Batman murdering folks. Straight up murdering, no question.
        Having grim serious Superman, apparently a beacon of hope. Yes, they showed people liking him, but not enough and not as part of the main narrative. Flashbacks are not sufficient.
        Character development and motivations are not explained or if explained are stupid and poorly thought out.

        The fight was completely underwhelming, and the acting was fucking terrible. When Batman realizes the kryptonite wore off and he makes that face while putting his hands up....so lame.
        That's what comes to mind right now. I could go on for days.

        Ill give you that one for Jolly Rancher... but besides that everything put together makes sense. Batman made a face cause he didn't know if Superman was about to rip him in half or not. and Superman, he is facing the reality of what society is and its effecting him as it would any other human being. Justice League was supposed to be that moment he becomes Superman but now we will never feel that whole experience pan out because of killing the vision... there was HEART in these projects and if you watch it accepting the ideas and dive into this world... you ll just realize that its a character, and you hate the character...not the movie.

  A workprint exists. A workprint means unfinsihed vfx, incomplete shots, likely timecodes overlaid.
  It really would take money and time to hash it into something for home release, and I don't think the investment would generate enough profit.
  There are simply not enough Snyder fans to warrant it.

      They gave him full control on BvS, and as much as people defend it, fact is it simply didn't sell well.
      I don't think anyone would want to gamble spending millions to complete this cut which has no guarentee and less than stellar odd of making a return.
      Only way it would work is with a crowdfunding type deal. Which, someone should start that on Kickstarter or whatever. If fans raised the money WB might go for it.

  They can proceed with part 2 without worrying about connecting it to the DCEU. If it’s set in the late ‘80s, for example, they won’t have to force a reference to a late-teens version of the BvS Batman.

I don't believe WB is responsible for this. Too petty (not that they're above pettiness, but this is too low level - even for them).
However, that still doesn't change the fact that whoever did this is kind of pathetic if you really think about it. Chances are it was a "hater/troll" cause obviously someone who wanted a Snyder cut wouldn't do this.
Someone was apparently so bothered by a fan petition that they hacked the account and closed down the petition.
I mean, how desperate can you get? The petition was dying down anyways and probably wouldn't have reached 200,000 signatures. So why bother?
