Two weeks ago we got the first look at Robin and today Warner Bros. just released the first image of Alan Ritchson as Hawk and Minka Kelly as Dove in Titans, a show from DC’s upcoming streaming service.

Here are some official details from the press release:

  • Ritchson and Kelly star in the series alongside Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales), who plays Dick Grayson aka Robin.
  • The Hawk and Dove suits were designed by renowned costume designer Laura Jean Shannon, whose credits include Black Lightning, Iron Man and The Jungle Book, among others.
  • TITANS is set to debut in 2018 on the DC-branded direct-to-consumer digital service, operated by Warner Bros. Digital Networks.

From executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, TITANS is an all-new live-action drama series that follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. TITANS is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.

    Hawk is not an easy costume to recreate in live action, so kudos to the costume designers. Truthfully I haven’t been keeping up with the CW shows cause they were getting really cheesy but I’ve got high hopes for this.

    Wow! The costumes for this show look almost movie quality so far! Much better than the all-leather look of the CW DC costumes. Kudos to the costume designer Laura Jean Shannon and her team!

    These feel a little over-designed to me, and maybe more cartoony than I'm able to take seriously in a character focused show, but I'm still on board.

    I trust in the creative team and their track record (plus Robin looks pretty amazing).

    This looks absolutely amazing I'm very happy so far with the costume designs and also the quality of the costumes. I understand what some people are saying about them being a little to cartoon like I understand that 100%. However, I do really like the costume design in general for DC's products such as their movies and television shows I'm not overly keen on the Flash's suit in the show however it is made out of good materials. If DC has anything going for them especially in the movie universe is that their costume design is my opinion much stronger than that of Marvel's

        maybe it's a shadow thing, but I was referring to what looks like a gap at the bottom of the mask. (like if she would look up we could see her eyes.)

          I think there might be some sort of support underneath that Simon the bridge other nose, like on glasses. I also think it's black underneath and it's covered in shadow.

    Off topic but did anyone else check out the audience score on Metacritic and RT for The Last Jedi? Critics and the audience are completely divided.

    It will be interesting to see if that will translate to bad word of mouth for second weekend.

          To me, I only like the Star Wars lore. The films never catch my attention, and some of the cartoons are good.

          I’m surprised that fans aren’t more pissed at this film. I read the spoilers, and even pissed at some of the decisions they made.

      There's an online smear campaign against the film, same people tried to boycott the last one remember. A Female lead & a Black man lead triggered the deplorable troll brigade last time, this is probably a continuation of that, they go on metracritic and rate it zero without having watched it. I know not everyone is going to like the movie, it's not perfect, but that audience rating is completely fucking ridiculous and in no way can it be real.

      Word of mouth will be fine

        I have zero problems with a female lead and a black man lead and defended the films for that but TLJ deserves a lot of the criticisms its getting, in fact a large portion of the people hating it are doing so for very legit reasons. I liked the film but didn't love it and i think the film is the worst one since Attack Of The Clones, it doesn't bother paying off on much of the set up in TFA (a film i loved), destroys the character of Luke (Hamil has even said he didn't like the way they treated Luke in it), has a sub plot what is completely pointless with a planet what is frankly awful, has humor what is very hit or miss and feels forced and feels like a film made for people who don't like SW rather then the people who do love SW.

            I love the Marvel Netflix shows, but I'm also a fan of the CW shows. They're good when they give the relationship crap a rest. The comics will always be better though. I can't really say the same for Marvel though. I don't read Marvel comics. The movies are mostly great, though.

            While I do agree that all the DC shows right now suck pretty badly, the only good show from Marvel on Netflix is Daredevil, BUT! they did Legion (on whatever network) which is one of my favourites! That show is pure madness and I loved it.

        They're all co-written by Johns, didn't make em better in any way. Berlanti is the real villain in those DC shows. Everything he touches goes to crap.

        But I'm really tempted, because I loved Alan Ritchson in BMS and Minka Kelly in Almost Human. And the fact that it's not linked to the CW shows is great news.

          Do you also agree that Flash and others are a waste of time? i mean it's always the same, first we see Berry do something exciting in the morning, then villian appears, Berry tries to fight him, fails, team regroups, they come up with how to fight the villian, they meet villian again, Berry runs faster then before and defeats the villian. Now throw in some scenes of Berry crying or complaining, diversify it with unneccesary diversity, promote some agendas and boom, every episode is the same.

          Johns has only co-written one episode of Arrow, two episodes of The Flash, and written one episode of Arrow. The two episodes of The Flash were really good, too. I say just give the pilot a shot and if you don't like it, don't watch it.

      I'm concerned. It's pretty obvious they were going with the older pair / younger pair dynamic, but the guy playing Beast Boy is so much older than Teagan that it's going to be creepy if they go that route.
