Warner Bros. released a new trailer for their upcoming movie Ready Player One yesterday. It's based on the book by Ernest Cline and takes place in the year 2045 inside a virtual reality universe.

Ready Player One features many cameos from popular figures in pop culture, and in the new trailer we get a look at The Joker and Harley Quinn. The design for Harley is ripped right from Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Knight video game. Check out their brief cameo in the trailer above around the 2:04 mark.

Update: And as many Batman News readers pointed out, you can spot Batman inside the 1960s Batmobile around the 41 second mark!

Ready Player One hits theaters on March 30, 2018.

    Deathstroke (at 0:49) and the 60's Batmobile (at 0:41) have cameos too

          You could be right. I assumed Deadpool because he’s more recognizable. (The previous trailer showed tons of non-WB/DC characters, so copyright isn’t an issue.)

          That was a special case. You can't say WB repeatedly meddled when the plan was to film both parts at the same time. It was one troubled shoot.

          Every studio has had conflicts with directors, WB included. My point was that they wouldn't have survived (and thrived--they're having a great year) this long if they had a reputation for interfering with directors. Nolan, Spielberg, Villeneuve, etc would have stayed the hell away.

        Zack Snyder was ultimately;y the reason for it, and I say that as a fan. If not for how disastrous BvS was, they would not have changed the movie so much

            I mean I am just stating the obvious. Im no hater(I even said I was a fan). I am just done pretending. Its obvious his creative decisions are largely what lead to the position we are in now. Also, "intellectual" is not how I would personally describe the MArtha scene. I think its a scene that can be interpreted how the individual viewer sees fit. Think whatever you want of it though. Done caring about what people think of that movie

        I think that may be true. Let's keep in mind that a hulk/Thor movie was more relevant than an entire JL movie, just look at the difference in box office

            It is true though my friend. Unfortunately we don't have access to information on hulk merchandise sales vs Superman merchandise sales because that accounts for a big factor. What we do have access to is hulk comic and film sales vs Superman comic and film sales. Sure Superman is currently selling more when it comes to comics, but comic sales wouldn't even account for 1% of movie sales. Thus, it leads to the conclusion that when it comes to die hard fans who read comics, such as me (and possibly you) than sure, Superman is more popular to the die hards like us, but when it comes to general audience unfortunately hulk is more relevant, as evidenced by movie sales. Now it pains me to say this, as I love supes way more as a character than hulk, but at some point we just need to accept the damage that WB/Snyder have done to the DC brand in the eyes of the masses

            That's true, but i'm not sure that anything the Snyderverse has done, has really impacted sale of popular merchandise. Not talking about movie tie-ins. Willing to bet that a Superman or Batman logo on a t-shirt is still more popular than any such counterpart from anything similar from Marvel. But then again those two may be outliers and should not be taken into account, or it doesn't matter. I don't know...

      Surprised me too. Overwatch came out several years AFTER the novel came out. Granted they're going to take some new liberties with the film; but I thought the nostalgia premise was supposed to focus on 80s and maybe a little early 90s pop culture.

    Well I think it's time to say bye to all you fine guys.

    The hype for JL came and went as it so predictably tanked thanks to Snyder.

    DCEU is uncertain but at the least the next movie is a year away. I doubt it will go ahead but if it does, see you guys around then.

    I love Batman, hoping for the best and a reboot, and a Batman who doesn't kill. And maybe a Superman who doesn't kill also.

    Keep fighting for your 'snyder cut' kiddos, best of luck.

      BvS Bats is no more guilty of killing than TDK Trilogy Bats
      MoS Supes is no more guilty of killing than Superman II Supes

      Reboot would be an awful idea at this stage of the game

        It was Snyder's fault through his 'vision', and a reboot would be a saving grace.

        We all know that, no need to debate it further, but have the last word if you wish.

        MoS neck snapped a dude. Superman II Supes knocked some people down a ravine and they were fine and later arrested.
