Concept artist Jerad S. Marantz worked on Batman v Superman, and he was back for Justice League as well.
Marantz shared two of his Justice League designs on Instagram. The first, shows off Ben Affleck's new "tactical" Batsuit. Based on the concept art, it doesn't look like the final design was changed very much. He also shared one of his early designs of a parademon. I think it looks scarier than what they ended up using for the movie. Check out the new concept art below.

They might have, if Batman V Superman wasn't so devisive and DC/WB didn't feel the need to lighten the tone. That's just my opinion. So many times people never know when a good thing is right in front of them. WB/DC needs to quit competing and just be there own thing. They worry too much about Marvel. I agree with you Robin, they should have used these instead.

Really loved that Batman tactical suit in JL... had that little Arkham Knight vibe to it... the parademons In JL were really good better than the ones in BvS during the Knightmare scene but this ones ... idk they look like actual demons rather than PARAdemons

Kinda like the arm brace thingies he has going here, implying it gives him more strength. I also prefer the sleeker look of this outfit, compared to the real thing. One thing that's always bugged me with Affleck's Batsuits, is they are simply way too bulky. It looks like he can barely move in them. They should ease on the excessive padding. He doesn't even need it. It makes him look fat, if anything.
Exactly, this concept looks like an athlete/fighter that can move quick during battle, overall I think this suit looked stiff becuase they switched the manufacturer in JL, in BvS even though the suit looked bulky he could handle that incredible fight scene in the warehouse

It's weird that in JL, sometimes he's able to turn his head, and at other times, it looks like he has absolutely zero flexibility.
Yep, the suit was just a sculpture, zero movement freedom, they went as far as applying cgi to the scene when Batman looks up as Cyborg comes down to engage in the Nightcrawler... I have nightmares with that scene
That's what I said in another comment. The concept art looks great but doesn't take into account that Ben Affleck isn't that athletic/jacked. He's much more pudgier.
I want to believe that this cool Owl man looking batsuit will lead to us maybe seeing the Injustice League somewhere down the road. Looks so dope

No, rebooting is the only sensible course of action.
The franchise as is is a laughing stock.
1. If they reboot, you can forget about the dceu for at least 5 yrs,they cant just start over and recast everbody like nothing happened
2. The same ppl will b working on the rebooted universe, which is pointless.
3. A good movie could change everythin. Ppl were willing to forget about bvs thx to ww, but jl fucked it up.
They don't have to recast everybody, and it wouldn't be the same people. For starters it wouldn't be any of Snyder's people, cinematographer, composer, visual artists etc...
It would be a soft reboot, like the crisis stories are.

Yes, no reboot, jut make another great WW type movie. 1 that the critics and auidiences like more so than not. My thought is no more team up movies for awhile. That would be their best bet. Cameos, to some degree like in SS but nothing more if that. We need WW 2, MoS 2, and a Batman movie before a JL 2.
Way too early for that... Thats basically a jl movie, and jl isnt doing good right now. Only stand alone for now...aquaman, shazam, ww2, mos2, ss2, flashpoint,....... And continue from there.

There was always potential, but the people on top are too incompetent. The proposed solution of embracing the characters is not the actual solution. Nolan's Batman diverged a lot from the comics and it was a critical and financial juggernaut.
Movies work when they are good. WB is not a studio that produces top quality on a regular basis. They are hit or miss. When it comes to DC movies they make stupid decisions all the time. They hire the wrong people, they interfere, they panic, they are reactive. Sorry, but this is not the studio that will turn DC into the #1 superhero brand in CBM's.
If Disney buys DC then most of the problems would be over. These guys are second to none when it comes to entertainment. They put the Star Wars franchise back on track. They turned Marvel into the biggest franchise in history. If you're still thinking WB will ever put DC anywhere close to Marvel, then you're just being naive.

Oh, I disagree! Yes, you can depart, but people loves these characters and they are good as is. People don't like the alternate versions given so far, so let's just give the characters people do like.

They can do it, they did it with Harry potter, maybe is something to do with Britain? The Warner aesthetic still stands out, I watched last night Winter soldier and at some points it looked like a random police flick, Warner has this environment that works great for the fantastical, but I can't see why can somebody please embrace the world Snyder built just as Chris Columbus on HP-Philosopher and take it to another level like Alfonso Cuaron did on HP-Prisoner... w h y
Most studios are hit and miss. Disney hasn't even had 100 percent hits this year. WB has actually been having a really good year though and currently has the highest total gross as of November, even beating out Disney. We don't need a reboot or Disney buying DC(shutters). DC can be insanely successful with the right directors and story tellers and we have seen that happen with Wonder Woman. The problem up until this point has mostly been Zack Snyder and his polarizing creative decisions. I say that as a fan of his work, but even I can recognize that clearly he is the main problem. Henry Cavill even said this. We aren't throwing him under the bus, we are just stating the obvious. WB just needs to find the right people to make these movies and personally I am very hopeful for the future with people like James Wan, Matt Reeves, Jenkins, and even David F Sandberg. Call me crazy but I actually do believe that WB has figure out to handle the DC franchise now and I think the days of such controversy are over.
Also personally I thoroughly dislike what Disney has done with Star Wars. TFA at least. Rogue One was pretty good.
Dinsney is a lot more consitant with quality than WB. And that's without bringing Marvel into the equation.

Probably. But its not like WB is incapable of delivering great DC movies post Nolan. Wonder Woman clearly worked. The whole thing with Snyder is just a bizarre mess in my opinion. By finding the directors they should be fine though.
And if they reboot and the first movie fails, ull be asking for more signatures again..this is not super mario when u can start over whenever u want with no consequences and repercussions

When you do one of these movies one of your basic obligations is to show why only your heroes can meet your story’s threat. And as soon as Batman blasts a couple of Parademons to pieces with the Batmobile’s machine gun it raises the question, why not call in the Air Force? Doesn’t it seem like a wing of F-16s could destroy Steppenwolf’s army in about five minutes? Are we wasting our time fighting Steppenwolf with superheroes?
You don’t have to do the full-on Godzilla scene where the army fails. But the audience needs to understand that only your heroes can save the day.

Maybe they blew the CGI budget on removing Superman’s mustache and digitally enhancing the bulge in Batman’s crotch.

Yes! I wish I could give your post more "likes". This is my main complaint of the film. The world of Justice League didn't feel "lived in". I didn't get the sense that the people of Earth were even aware that Steppenwolf was invading the planet. They should have had a scene showing a news report about alien sightings, and scenes where the military detects an anomaly in Russia. You never get a sense that there is a real threat to humanity. At least in MOS and BvS, the military was aware of the dangers of the aliens.

And MOS got bashed for it (wrongly) remember all the death and destruction from the final battle and the world engine?
I agree though would have upped the stakes with the battle taking place in a big city, let's say Gotham with Batman/Gordon tactically commanding police/army to take down Parademons while the rest of the league try and deal with Steppenwolf.
Yes. That would have been cool. I would have prefered the main villain be Darkseid. Steppenwolf was a weak villain. Even Doomsday seemed more menacing.
I don't think Steppenwolf had enough time to appear menacing, this is where the short run time hampered things. Could have fleshed out his story much more.
And where is the Gotham Bat, He's been a no show, that news report scene was cut from the theatrical release, a lot of the scenes from the trailers were cut...If we don't get a Snyder Cut at least give us an Extended Cut longer than the two hour limit...
Nolan always covers it. The Joker is an intelligent weirdo who constructs murderous little games specifically for Batman. Both he and Bane love using explosives to both hold people hostage and use them as human shields. It’s worth worrying about.
That's what Task Force X (Suicide Squad) is for, so that the military and commoners do not know about aliens or supernatural threats post MoS/BvS, they wanna keep all the aliens business very hush hush...(Undercover Ops).
MOS and BvS on the other hand always had the military and US government involved. Zack understood that.
Loved every moment of normal citizens and the military reacting to Supes and Zod in MoS and Doomsday in BvS ( that scene where they call the president and launches a nuke at DD was amazing)

personally I just choose to enjoy this movie for what it is and not worry about such things. And I dont think machine guns could hurt Steppenwolf
The audience will never have problems (the fallen, fail DC Comics have) with the great, glorious MCU. In the holy Infinity War, the only beings that may possibly halt the Mad Titan are the combine forces of Earth's mightiest heroes. When the the Dark Lord touches down, it will become very clear, no mere human can hope to stand against the Most Powerful Being in the Universe. The world's armies will fail on a whim, this much will become clear, clear as day.
Man, I can't wait for that trailer tomorrow. It's gonna be great.
Those parademons belong in Zack's rated R JL ultimate cut! That's a great batsuit for a younger in his prime Batman. I still don't like the fact that there was no explanation for the goggles, it was basically nothing more than for selling merchandise. They could have at least given them a purpose outside of looking "cool" or looking like Owlman.
Now this mythical Snyder cut was to be R rated? That's a new one.

They obviously put those goggles on as a nod to Nite Owl, that's the only real purpose they were made for. Pointless really, and if you look back at Watchmen and how Owl looked and fought, you can come up with a conclusion that the only thing Zack wanted is to make a Batman movie. Either someone said that in the movie or I heard it elsewhere but the explanation was that he needs protection for his eyes, if that was really the case he'd need them on his regular mask as well. They make sense as a nod, but not as anything else.
The goggles support my theory that Snyder wanted to Watchmen his version of the characters. I think that’s Watchmen: Ultimate Cut is one of the greatest movies in the genre, but I’m not sure it was the right filter to use for these characters.

Don't like the parademon design. Glad they went with the more comic book look. The tactical suit looks great in the image, but it doesn't take into account that Affleck doesn't have that body type, he's a lot pudgier.
The demons we got were better and probably cheaper to make than this. Really hate Batman wearing goggles like Nite Owl. Why didn't they put goggles on Flash and why didn't Batman just use the lenses on his cowl armor from the BvS? https://uploads.disquscdn.c...
The tactical batsuit looked awesome without the goggles. I was able to forgive the pinched ears.
Affleck doesn't even need to get buff. He needs to lean down to look like this
Not a fan of the tactical suit. I really think the goggles should’ve been dropped from the concept. I would prefer not to look at Batman & think of Nite-Owl.

The googles lasted just ten mins. The movie didn't even show what it is for.
It should be obvious they cut that Parademon look for budget. Not only does that look significantly better, but there's more detail.
I, for one, am happy with the parademons we got. They looked awesome and they looked like they were taken straight from the comics.
