Zack Snyder shares new 'Justice League' photos of Ben Affleck and Jason Momoa

This weekend, Zack Snyder continued his promise of sharing behind-the-scenes Justice League content on Vero.

It started with photos of Jason Momoa as Aquaman (with photographer Clay Enos adding one to the mix as well), then Snyder shared some cool shots of himself on the set, and tonight he topped it off with a new look at Ben Affleck and Jason Momoa on the Justice League set in Iceland from a year ago.

  At some points its good, at some points its like batman & robin, in others kinda like star wars, in others like 89's batman (but those last ones in a cheesy way). Overall... not good, at least not to me, not like the Justice League score should be.
  This film needed Zimmer to put something along the lines of the MOS score here :(

    It doesn't sound cheesy to me. "Classic" is the way I would describe it which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It sounds like JL to me. Just not like Hans Zimmer. Zimmer's music was epic in a more raw kind of way where as Elfman is more whimsical and, to be perfectly honest, more superhero esque in a classic way(that is not me criticizing Zimmer. I am just defending Elfman here). I certainly would not call this "bad". Its not bad. Its just different. I think more of a classic feel is a much needed improvement over that stuff Junkie was doing. I don't really get the Junkie fanboys to be perfectly honest. His stuff for BvS was pretty meh to me. The main thing he wrote was the really generic "DUNNNN DUN DUN DUN DUNNN". Batman needs something much more interesting than that and I think a return to something more in line with the classic 89 and BTAS sound will be a nice change

    I agree, you can even hear Ang Lee's Hulk and some Spiderman in there too... Not surprising though as Elfman did the scores for those movies as well.

Even the "Superman" moment Elfman mentioned is lame. What happened to him?? Danny was seriously my favorite composer as a kid. Is he trying anymore? Has he just given up? Two tracks now have just totally sucked.

  he said he was going to briefly use the superman theme. What did you expect him to do? NOT use it? lol. I think its fine tbh. Yes I would have preferred to still have Simmer doing the music, but I know they are still going to keep some of the more iconic themes that he wrote for Superman(the piano part in the beginning of An Ideal of Hope for instance) as well as the WW theme. I think this has a more classic feel to it(which is a much needed improvement in the context of Batman at least. I know Junkie has his fans, but his DUNNNN DUN DUN DUN DUNNNN was honestly pretty weak. Sometimes it worked and I understood the purpose of it, but the fact remains that it is painfully generic. Batman needs more). I am excited to see what he wrote as the main Justice League theme. I hope it resembles the classic JL animated theme a bit.

Wow such photography! such great shot pieces!!! I can't imagine anybody taking pics like this with such talented mastery vision than the o' holy Zack, "The Master" Snyder! He is simply unparalleled in this profession, no one can match him!!! NO-ONE!

Hey guys I was just joking, *hint* my last line.
Zack Snyder is actually an amazing photographer and all, but he isn't unparalleled nor the the best of the best there is at it (that would be blinded bias) well maybe he is the best idk, but do you people even know of other great Photographers' out there?
He's up there among some of the best, but he ain't the the complete absolute Master. You know what I'm saying?

I tried watching BvS. It's worse than the critics say. People who say Snyder is awesome or that BvS is awesome are people who will say anything DC puts out is great. Yes, Batman is a great character. I really like Batman. I do not like what DC and Snyder are doing with Batman here.

    WW was good though! Not at ALL? I was sold from No Man’s Land on. But I can see how before that scene things could be considered slow or not as engaging.

      Nah, I really didn't like it. I actually was disappointed. She's part of the trinity and her movie was so fully predictable. Emotions were there so that sold a lot. On IMDb, I think I gave it a 5-6/10 and SS a 6.

  But he claimed the theatrical cut was “his” movie. He stood by the final product until eventually admitting he should’ve made the movie more grounded and should’ve had the Joker as the main villain.

    Yeah, there were all kinds of proto-cuts of the movie for test screenings and junk. Then there was the fact they hired the trailer people to make a version. And man it’s just all a mess.

  I've been coming to this site when Nolan was running things. During that time every super hero got a reboot with a much darker/serious story. DC never needed to make another Batman movie but since Marvel has the avengers, DC has to compete. I just don't like that they're doing it at the expense of making bad Batman movies. Also, Batman is a big part of my life. I'm a big fan. You'd speak up too if you felt one of your franchises was being mis-held.

    Your dislike for these movies and this version of Batman is valid. You're not wrong for disliking any of it. But other people don't share your dislike, and that is valid too. It doesn't make them any less of a fan than you are, and it's completely okay to actually enjoy these movies and this version of Batman.
    Instead of hating the fact that people like something you don't, just offer up your perspective and try to accept an opposing viewpoint.
    I've seen tons of cars on the road that I dislike. That doesn't mean that I should tell everyone who drives one "if you really enjoy this Camaro, then you'll say any Chevy is great."
    Just take it easy, and respect other people's enjoyment, please. And if someone does the same thing to you that you're doing to others, either ignore them or block them. We can all be fans AND disagree. It's totally possible.

    Just so you know DC and WB had been wanting to make a Justice League movie Wayne store the MCU was created look up Justice League Mortal which was supposed to be directed by the director of mad max fury road so all this DC trying to compete with the MCU is horse crap

I really disliked the BvS theatrical cut, but I give the Ultimate edition a pass, just. Apart from the killing I was ok with Batman.

  He kills just as indirectly/unintentionally as TDK Trilogy Batman. He’s just more brutal and reckless about it because of the state of his character at the time, so it happens more around him. But he is redeemed by the end.

    Mate, the way he chased down that truck with the kryptonite on it made those deaths very intentional. I know his state of mind was less than balanced, and he'll be better in Justice League, but I didn't enjoy it in BvS. It's only a minor complaint I have of the film though - story, motives, editing, and Jolly ranchers were all more annoying/disappointing to me.

      Christopher Nolan’s Batman blew up dojos, flipped police cars with explosive devices, “didn’t save” Ra’s al Ghul, pushed Two-Face off a building to his death, and fatally crashed Talia in her truck. But he is not counted guilty for any of those deaths. Some are explained away, and the rest are indirect or unintentional.
      Now take that mindset, and progress it to the point that the Batman in BvS is - broken, hardened, jaded, more violent - and you get something like what happened in BvS: a more reckless and brutal Batman who lets these sort of deaths happen around him more often, but doesn’t really care too much.
      Zack Snyder confirmed that his intent was that Batman only kill indirectly/unintentionally like Nolan’s Batman did, so it must be interpreted through that lens. It only seems more frequent/overt because this Batman is in a bad state. If one light punch would do, he’s going to punch twice and hard.

      He never shoots people, he shoots a car. If it happens that they end up getting hurt or possibly killed in that process, that’s not his problem - that’s the way he’s thinking.
